PROV E N A N CE W I N ES DESCRIPTION

We are conveniently positioned on the outskirts of Geelong: just 2 kilometres from the Geelong Ring Road (Princes Freeway) and 12 minutes from Geelong’s CBD and waterfront.

An extensive renovation to the heritage-listed 1870s bluestone building has resulted in a modern venue full of historic integrity and charm. The building boasts views of Buckley Falls and a functioning winery where award-winning Provenance wine is made. We are thrilled to announce our kitchen is now operational. Head Chef Will Manning is creating dishes of the highest quality, dishes that celebrate Geelong and the Surf Coast’s local produce.

Will’s use of these fine ingredients resulting in flavoursome, wholesome dishes is a perfect match to our valued wines. Antipasto platters and flatbreads provide a more social style of dining, whilst a full à la carte menu is available. Provenance Wines now has the full wine and dine experience. Guests are encouraged to join us at the bar for a tutored wine tasting before sitting at their tables among the barrels.

The Whiskery is the cellar door for Bellarine Distillery. It was the original farm shed that has been fully renovated, the end result being a rustic and inviting space to have a yarn over a cocktail, gin or whisky with friends. During warmer days the gardens and decks provide a relaxing environment and during the colder months a spot beside the fire is most enticing.

The Whiskery is the home to the multiple award-winning “Teddy & the Fox – Bellarine Gin” and our latest release “Rosey & the Rabbits – aged Gin”. Primarily our own gins are on offer for consumption and sale with our own whisky being available in due course – approximately 2021. We have a wide selection of other whiskies available for tasting and also showcase local wines, beers and ciders.

We offer cheese and fresh produce platters using as much locally sourced produce as possible and a selection of simple pizzas. The cellar door can be accessed off Scotchmans Road (corner of Portarlington Road and Scotchmans Road) with plenty of car parking on the property and space to throw down a picnic rug and take in the surrounds.
