15. Select the linework you would like to export, and use File>Export Selected, and specify the file location and format (in this case, .ai).

16. It will bring up a scale option dialogue. Number on the left represents the model space, and the number on the right represents the paper space.

17. If you used scaling option A, you will need to set the drawing scale here as shown above.

18. If you used scaling option B, and scaled the drawing in the model space already, use the option shown on the right to export it at 1:1 scale.

*Be sure to move the linework close to the origin point in Rhino (0,0,0) before exporting. When the linework is too far from the origin, it can fall outside of Illustrator’s available drawing region.

19. You should now have an illustrator file with all of the layers retained from your Rhino linework.
