We're more than a cruise company
Theatrical Adventures has blossomed into a highly successful tour operator, offering river cruises along some of Europe’s most breathtaking waterways and beyond. Every evening, our guests are treated to performances by professional opera singers from the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, with some cruises even featuring a live orchestra on board!
Our directors personally accompany every cruise, ensuring each passenger has a delightful and trouble-free experience. Solo travellers need not worry! We make it a point to offer cabins with minimal single supplement fees. We understand the frustration and strive to provide our single passengers with the best possible value.
One of the unique joys of a Theatrical Adventures cruise is the lasting friendships formed. Many of our guests return year after year, reuniting on cruises and at our sister company’s International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival, creating a warm and happy atmosphere. The relaxed, friendly spirit of the Festival is carried over to every voyage. We charter the entire ship (unless indicated) and ensure that every moment on board is one to remember.

Dubrovnik stands proudly beneath limestone mountain peaks along the rugged coastline of the beautiful sea. It’s no wonder Lord Byron described it as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Once the heart of the Republic of Ragusa, the city’s medieval walls and stone streets are now renowned worldwide as the primary filming location for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones. Explore the natural beauty and rich history of this magnificent city. We’ll spend the afternoon cruising along the Adriatic coast, taking in the diverse and breathtaking scenery. We’ll sail past the tranquil and lush Elaphiti Islands, as well as Hvar and Brač.
DAY 3: 23 AUGUST MALI LOŠINJ
We spend the morning cruising— passing by the 140-island Kornati Archipelago. Described as a seafaring labyrinth, this natural wonder is a mix of wild landscapes and crystal-clear water. We’ll reach Mali Lošinj in the early afternoon. Before we reach land, La Belle de l’Adriatique will bring you into small crags and picturesque bays surrounded by lush vegetation. Enjoy free time exploring this charming village dotted with colourful, Mediterranean-style homes. Stroll along the palm-tree-lined promenade and have a drink in a local café, or visit
the Museum of Apoxyomenos (entry ticket not included), dedicated to the 2,000-year-old bronze statue of an athlete.
DAY 4: 24 AUGUST PUNAT- KRK
Today we arrive in Punat, where you will board local boats and head to the picturesque islet of Košljun. In the heart of this luxuriant green setting, you’ll visit the Franciscan monastery containing a collection of rare books and sacred objects. Afterwards, we’ll return to Krk for a guided tour of the city.
We continue to cruise through Kvarner Gulf in the afternoon, with the Velebit Mountains lingering majestically in the background. The mesmerizing islands of Krk, Cres, and Rab emerge from a sparkling sea—each dotted with picturesque villages and pine forests.
DAY 5: 25 AUGUST ROVINJ - PULA
We arrive in Rovinj early in the morning. You will fall in love with this charming city tucked in a cove on the end of a peninsula. Its ochre, Italian-style homes coil up the hill to a Venetian bell tower. You’ll visit the baroque-style Church of St. Euphemia, one of the most beautiful in Istria.
We cruise to Pula, gliding by the islands making up Brijuni National Park, a veritable Mediterranean paradise. Pula’s rich Roman heritage includes the sixth-largest amphitheatre that is still intact. In addition to the amphitheatre, Pula is packed with impressive Roman remains such as the Temple of Augustus, Roman Forum, and the city gates.

DAY 6: 26 AUGUST ZADAR
Zadar is a charming, traditional-yetmodern town surrounded by the sea. It’s home to priceless artifacts spanning two millenniums—including a Roman forum, Romanesque churches, and baroque treasures. Don’t miss the two special features that make Zadar unique in the world: The sea organ— which makes the water sing—and the Monument to the Sun, a set of solar panels that begin a dance of light once the sun sets. Enjoy some free time in Zadar this afternoon.
DAY 7: 27 AUGUST KOTOR
The morning will be spent cruising through the Bay of Kotor. Here, the sea spreads out into rippling gulfs and sparkling straits, each more beautiful than the other. The land is treated to an abundance of rainfall and a mild climate, creating the lush vegetation that adorns the hills. Our ship will arrive in Kotor by late morning. The medieval city of Kotor, Montenegro, has survived the ravages of weather and wars. It’s an exciting labyrinth where the past meets the present, set against gorgeous seaside scenery. This afternoon we cruise towards Dubrovnik.
