A message from the CEO Thank you for joining us to celebrate Girl Scouts’ Women of Distinction and Community Partners at our annual Gala. Getting to this evening has been a journey no one will ever forget, but it is worth it because your support will directly impact the lives of our 10,000 girl members – what a powerful occasion! Girl Scouts is the premier leadership organization for girls, helping them become women of courage, confidence and character, who will make the world a better place. The world needs girls like this today, more than ever! Over the past several months, we have adapted to quickly meet their needs, providing online and at-home experiences to keep them connected with each other and their communities. For more than one hundred years, Girl Scouts has been a cornerstone of youth development for girls. Camp, STEM and leadership experiences are at the core of what we do. We are providing girls experiences they only receive through Girl Scouts, revealing the wonders of nature and the thrill of adventure. The way we provide Girl Scouts is changing, but our commitment to girl excellence is not. With your support, our girls are prepared to lead us into a new world – a better world. Thank you again for your presence and support and for demonstrating that you believe in empowering girls so they may learn that their voices and opinions matter. The future is female, and she is a Girl Scout. Sincerely,

Eileen M. Higgins

Anne M. Davis Woman of Distinction Law Offices of Anne M. Davis

This year, Anne M. Davis, Esq. will be practicing law for 20 years. Her law firm is located in Ocean County where she has specialized in business law, real estate, family, civil litigation and personal injury. For the past twelve years she has been recognized as one of the state’s leading experts in cannabis law and policy. She is most proud of serving as General Counsel for Stillwell-Hansen, Inc. In addition to her professional experience, Anne is very involved in her local community. At St. Dominic’s Church, she is in her fifth year as a volunteer fourth Grade CCD teacher, has served as class parent at the school, and assisted elderly members of the Church in estate planning. Her most extensive and adventurous role as a volunteer was as a Girl Scout leader for 11 years. During that time, she marched in parades; accompanied Girl Scouts to tour radio stations and Broadway shows; cleaned up garbage along roadways; made science experiments; learned how to cook; sang and did crafts with seniors; helped animals at shelters; tried yoga, and participated in endless fun excursions. Both of her daughters attended summer camp programs for many years, learning horseback riding, swimming, archery, art and life skills. She loved the camping trips from freezing on the beach in Wildwood for Beach Jam, to spending fun Girl Scout weekends in Hershey. Many lasting memories of Camp Sacajawea overnight camping trips and countless program events will be cherished forever.

Christine Hanlon Woman of Distinction Monmouth County Clerk

Christine Giordano Hanlon, Esq. was elected as Monmouth County Clerk in November 2015. Prior to being elected as County Clerk, Christine was Of Counsel to the law firm of Archer & Greiner, PC, one of the largest law firms in New Jersey. She practiced law for over 20 years and has focused her legal practice on government affairs and municipal law. She is also a former Commissioner on the Monmouth County Board of Elections, serving as Secretary for two years. Christine is a former Girl Scout and the mother of two Girl Scouts. Christine received her law degree from Fordham University in 1992, following her graduation from Barnard College, Columbia University. After graduation from law school, she was Law Clerk to the Honorable A. Simon Chrein, Chief United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York, from 1992 to 1993. She then served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York, from 1993 to 1997, during which time she prosecuted white collar, narcotics and violent felony cases as a member of the Arson and Economic Crime Unit. Ms. Hanlon currently serves as the President for the Monmouth Bar Association, President for the Monmouth County SPCA, and is a trustee for the Monmouth Bar Foundation. She is the recipient of the 2017 “Spinnaker Award for Public Service” from the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, the 2018 “Person of the Year Award” from the Monmouth County Fraternal Order of Police, Superior Officer’s Lodge #30, and the 2019 “Silver Gull Award for Government Leadership” from the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council.

Frances Keane

Woman of Distinction Vice President, Human Resources CentraState Healthcare System Frances Keane, or Fran as she is known, has been VP of Human Resources for almost nineteen years at CentraState Healthcare System. She has a long history with Girl Scouts as a Brownie, Junior and Cadette. She credits Girl Scouts with starting her on a path of rising into leadership roles and notes there is a strong correlation between the two! She especially loved selling and eating Girl Scout Cookies and collecting her many Girl Scout badges. Fran was recommended to serve on the Monmouth County Girl Scout Council board as it realigned and became Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. She has served on numerous Board committees, chaired the Strategic Learning committee and ended her term as Board Chair in May 2020. In her role at CentraState, Fran is passionate about supporting her company’s most valuable resource – its people. She recalled how forty years ago upon graduation from Kean College, her first job was not successful. Instead of terminating her, she was offered a job in Personnel and has never looked back. In her leisure time she enjoys walking her dog Princess Lily, traveling, listening to podcasts and binge watching TV. She is grateful for her wonderful husband Kevin and her fabulous children Sarah and Brian. “I am proud to have played a role in preparing girls for leadership roles at Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, and after seeing them in action, I am confident the world is in great hands,” she shared when asked about her tenure at Girl Scouts.

Dana Lancellotti

Director of Business Development and Tourism County of Ocean

Born and raised in Monmouth County and living the past 27 years in Ocean County, Dana is truly a New Jersey Shore girl at heart. After graduating Monmouth College, her career began in multimedia advertising sales for Monmouth Cablevision and then the Asbury Park Press. She later transitioned to the world of hospitality as a Regional Director of Room Sales for Hotels Unlimited. Having met in college, she and Frank Lancellotti married in 1993 as he began his 25 year career as a Wall Twp Police Officer. They raised their two children, John and Laura, in Ocean County. In 2008, the economic recession along with the pending closure of Fort Monmouth dramatically decreased corporate travel and hotels struggled to fill gaps and sustain business throughout the year. Simultaneously, Fort Dix, McGuire AFB and Navy Lakehurst merged to become the only Tri-Service, joint military installation in the country. Dana joined forces with other business leaders in the region to create and launch the Ocean County Military Support Committee, a nonprofit 501c3. Dana served as their first Chairman of the Board and currently volunteers her time as their Executive Director. Dana is the Executive Director of the Ocean County Tourism & Business Advisory Council under Freeholder Joe Vicari. In addition, Dana serves on boards and committees of business, tourism, and military support organizations throughout the state. Dana wants to express her sincere appreciation to the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore for this very special honor. She also sends her love and gratitude to her kids John and Laura, and to her husband Frankie for all of their continuous support!

Dr. Janice Warner Woman of Distinction Provost Georgian Court University

Dr. Janice Warner is Provost at Georgian Court University where she is a member of the President’s Cabinet and leads the Division of Academic and Student Affairs which consists of three schools, the library, student development, Education Opportunity Fund (EOF), TRIO-Student Support Services (TRIO/SSS), career development, global education, and athletics. The leaders of these entities work together in the Provost’s Council to strengthen the student experience. She has been one of the leaders in the development and implementation of the Strategic Compass, Georgian Court’s Strategic Plan, a member of the Middle States Accreditation steering committee, and co-chair for the Strategic Enrollment Plan. Prior to serving as Provost, she served as Dean and faculty in the School of Business & Digital Media. Before entering academia, Janice Warner was a Director at Telcordia Technologies, responsible for technology engineering & management consulting projects associated with data and broadband communication services. Having come from industry, Dr. Warner is passionate about connecting university programs to corporations and non-profit organizations in order to expand opportunities for students. In 2017, she was named one of the Fifty Best Women in Business by NJBIZ. Dr. Warner received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Management along with an MBA from Rutgers University. She also earned both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University as a first generation college student. She believes passionately in expanding access to high quality higher education. Dr. Warner is a former Girl Scout herself and served as a troop leader for eight years in Holmdel.

Lakewood BlueClaws Community Partner Joe Ricciutti President and General Manager

The BlueClaws and the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore have been partners since the BlueClaws debuted in 2001. In 2019, however, the partnership took off to new heights! Over 3,000 members of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore and their families enjoyed Girl Scout Family Night at the ballpark. Included in the night were a massive Girl Scout parade, games on the field, post-game fireworks, and a Girl Scout Sleepover. BlueClaws Charities has long supported the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, funding grants for STEM projects and providing support for new troops and numerous fundraising activities. Additionally, BlueClaws Charities has supported the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s Girls Are Great program in Lakewood sending players to visit with the girls to inspire healthy lifestyles and their participation in team sports. The girls’ favorite visitor was team mascot Buster, who has signed countless autographs and taken numerous photos with the girls. Last summer, the BlueClaws also distributed free tickets to their Copa de la Diversion nights, highlighting Hispanic culture and heritage, to all of the families in the Girls Are Great Program. In the truest sense of the words, the BlueClaws are committed Community Partners and collaborators with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.
