time to SHINE...

As the CEO of Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, a lifelong Girl Scout, and a proud Girl Scout mom, I have always believed in the transformative power of summer camp.

This year, we welcomed over 1,000 campers to Camp Sacajawea and Camp Amity Acres for our 2024 summer camp season. These young adventurers embraced the wonders of nature, discovered new passions, and enjoyed activities like archery, boating, ziplining, and STEAM projects. Our camps offer something for everyone, providing a much-needed break from screens and an opportunity to reconnect with creativity, the outdoors, and each other.

Our campers spent countless hours filled with sunshine, laughter, camp songs, interactive learning, making new friends, trying new things and creating magical experiences! We are filled with pride knowing that campers are growing in such an empowering environment, taking on new challenges, and building leadership skills that will last a lifetime. Camp nurtures our girls, allowing them to be their authentic selves, unwind in the natural world, and forge lasting friendships. My favorite part of each summer is witnessing Girl Scouts embrace new experiences—whether it’s leading a scavenger hunt, diving into hands-on STEM activities, or training to become future camp counselors.

For more than 50 years, Camp Amity Acres and Camp Sacajawea have been more than just summer destinations—they have been spaces where girls unlock their full potential, grow in confidence, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Sincerely,

Outside!
