Kick off the new Girl Scout year with a run, jog, or leisurely stroll at your own pace through the beautiful 144 acres of Camp Sacajawea in Farmingdale.

Pass through clouds of bright color at the multiple color blasting stations throughout your journey. There will be a fun DJ, food for purchase, and GSJS Expo to discover what the new Girl Scout year has in store! The council shop will also be present.

You can add on to your registration with a Color Fun Run Race Pack that includes a t-shirt, extra color packets for the finish- line, sunglasses, a bracelet, stickers and more!

A Wicked Good Time, MA

A Wicked Good Time in Massachusetts

November 7-10, 2024

Join us for a long weekend in New England and learn about the history in Salem, Boston, and Plymouth. Visit the House of Seven Gables, walk the Freedom Trail, and get a glimpse of Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower II!

Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is holding a 50/50 raffle with tickets selling for $10 each. The live drawing will be Wednesday, September 18, at 8:45pm during the Phenomenal Women Under 40 event.

Funds raised from this 50/50 Raffle go toward programs and activities offered by Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.

Your Year of Impact

In honor of Volunteer Appreciation Month, we are highlighting one of Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s volunteers, Nancy Peterson, for her 23 years of service!

Nancy Peterson, a Wall Township resident, was presented with the township’s Citizen of the Year Award in October 2023. The Award is given annually to someone who has made an exceptional contribution to the community or performed outstanding service.

Nancy is not only citizen of the year, but a paraprofessional in Wall, a Girl Scout leader, sits on the National and Regional Delegates committee and Fund Development committee at council, and sits on the township’s Young Women’s and Women’s Leadership committee.

We are grateful for everything she has done as a mentor, leader, and role model. She truly embodies courage, confidence, and character.

Graduating Ambassador Ceremony

At the Graduating Girl Scout Ambassador Ceremony, you will embrace what you have learned in Girl Scouting together with your Girl Scout sisters, honor how it will forever be a part of who you are, and step into the world as a young woman of courage, confidence, and character. When you become a Girl Scout adult, you will join a community of 10 million global sisters through the World Association of Girl Guides and 59 million Girl Scout alumnae!

The GSJS shop has Graduation Regalia for Girl Scout graduates to make their day extra special, such as Cords, Tassels and Stoles to purchase while supplies last.

Travel Scholarship

Applications will be accepted May 1 through May 15. Girls traveling on trips in 2024 or beyond can apply for scholarships each year as long as they are registered for the trip! Eligible trips include, Massachusetts 2024, New Zealand & Australia 2025, New Orleans 2025, GSUSA Destinations & more.

More than 3,000 campers flocked to Camp Sacajawea and Camp Amity Acres for our 2023 summer camp. They explored nature, found adventure, and tried their hand at archery, boating, zipline, STEAM and more. There is something for everyone at camp, allowing campers to take a break from electronics to re-discover their creativity and reconnect with the outdoors and one another.

Camp Amity Acres and Camp Sacajawea operate all summer long with extended care options available. Open to all girls ages 3-15, and boys, ages 3-12. Bring a friend for an unforgettable summer!

As a mom, I love knowing that my daughter is afforded the opportunity to take on new challenges and gain leadership skills that will last a lifetime. Camp truly encourages our girls to be their authentic selves, relax in the outdoors and make amazing friendships. My favorite part of every summer is watching Girl Scouts have first-time experiences like leading a scavenger hunt, engaging in hands-on STEM activities, or training to become a future camp counselor. For more than 50 years, Camp Amity Acres and Camp Sacajawea have helped shape and inspire thousands of campers; providing a fun, safe space for girls to unlock their full potential.

Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore summer camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) indicating safe, high-quality programs that meet industry and government standards.
