The Gstaad Palace-Challenge
The Gstaad Palace-Challenge was created a few years ago by the owner of the Palace Hotel, Andrea Scherz, and a local fellow car enthusiast.
As specified by its name, it appeals to ladies and gentlemen looking for a challenge with their prestigious sports collectors cars. Regularity tests, navigation tests and fun parcours on closed grounds are designed to measure the abilities of about 30 crews.

Collectible classic sports cars built between 1950 and 1990.

Friday, August 25th
9.30 am – noon Registration, Scrutineering, Installation of Tripy device, Measured Kilometre
12.15 pm Lunch Buffet
12.30 pm Mandatory Briefing
2.01 pm Prologue Rally start of first car (1 minute start interval)
7.30 pm Cocktail at the Palace
8.00 pm Casual Dinner followed by drinks and cigars
Saturday, August 26th
Breakfast Buffet opens rst car (1 minute start interval)
Lunch at the Golf & Country Club de Bonmont
Bonhams cocktail & prize-giving

VIEW
Gstaad with its idyllic scenery, pristine views and many stunning mountain roads, is and has been for many years, the mecca for car lovers in the Swiss Alps.
In order to compliment the family-like ambiance of the hotel, the boutique style rally has deliberately been kept very small.
The Gstaad Palace-Challenge stands for beautiful scenic roads, challenging tests, refined meals and great company.
STAY
Why not arrive on Thursday - take advantage of our extra night special rates and feel refreshed and ready for the early start on Friday. We would love to welcome you a day early!
On Friday, after the scrutineering, lunch and briefing the rally will start from the Palace. The first half day of rallying on nearby roads is a good warm up for the following day.
On Saturday the rally heads to the northern shores of Lake Geneva through parts of the “Jura Vaudoise”, testing the skills of the driver and navigator. The lunch will be at the stunning Golf & Country Club de Bonmont.
ENJOY
Culinary surprises are awaiting you during the weekend, for example local specialties and surprising places for coffee and lunch breaks.
The exciting days of motoring will be rounded off at the Palace with outstanding food, great wines and cigars.
The winners can look forward to: 1st place a Chopard watch, other exciting prizes for runner-up and 3rd place.
PLAY SAFE
Prior to the event, crews will have the opportunity to follow an online briefing by the clerk of the course Kim Bannister.
Your car must be equipped with a rally tripmeter and all measuring equipment is permitted. Furthermore it must absolutely meet the Swiss Road Traffic laws.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry request without comment.
Motorsports can be dangerous, the Gstaad Palace-Challenge uses challenging roads.

Entry fee for one car with a crew of 2:
2 persons in a double room/2 nights CHF 3’760
2 persons in 2 single rooms/2 nights CHF 4’740
2 persons, without accommodation CHF 2’700
The fees also include: the rally; Friday lunch, cocktail & dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, cocktail & dinner; Sunday breakfast, souvenirs.
Take advantage of our special extra night rates: additional nights, including breakfast, before or after the event: double room CHF 750, single room CHF 650.
