How to get to Aveiro From Lisbon Lisbon has two train stations with trains that departure to Aveiro, Santa Apolonia and Oriente. The first one is in the city center, so if you’re staying there before maybe it’s easier to come from that one, but if you’re coming straight from the airport, you should take the metro (pink line) to the closest one, which is Oriente. When you arrive to the train station, get a ticket for an Alfa Pendular, Intercidades or Regional train, it’ll take around two to three hours to get to Aveiro.
From Porto Porto has two train stations: São Bento and Campanhã São Bento is in the city center, so if you’re visiting Porto you should go from that one. If you are coming from the Airport you should take a metro from the E line (purple) with the direction to Estádio do Dragão or Campanhã. You should get out on Campanhã and get to the train station. In the train station you must take a Suburbano train to Aveiro.
How to move around Walking: Good way to exercise, since Aveiro is flat, getting everywhere is easy and fast, students and people in the city normally go walking everywhere and it’s for free!
