02 A BREATH IN THE CITY SAN SALVADOR CITY AND THE GREEN - PUBLIC AREAS
CONTEXTUAL STUDIES
URBAN LUNG
POPULATION
In San Salvador, green spaces and areas for development of public coexistence are limited. The city has grown over time exponential, and a concrete jungle has become the scene of daily life, environmental, visual and sensitive pollution are factors that unfortunately are conceived as normal and common.
CAPITAL
The profile of the Salvadoran demands on a contextual level relationship and meeting spaces. The popular culture says (ironically) that there are many behavior feasibilities for the interaction of entities that form the city, but the needed spaces have been ignored by the greatest need to build without any profile or development guidelines. The only existing spaces witch attempt to be part of the urban link are leftover spaces that have no operational use for the private property, or because the regulations demand a certain percentage of public – green spaces that had to be destined for its use. A city needs on a mandatory way meeting points; areas which would be integrated with the elements of urban landscapes. In El Salvador, starting with the presented project, the intention is that the integration of the city offer, not only space for coexistence and gathering, but at the same time the city is supported by a space that characterizes the urban landscape in the micro area as a natural support. To conceive the urban landscape as both, part natural and part constructed, is a change for the outlook of the society that brings this project.

NEAREST CITY WITH DIRECT CONECTION
Therefore, we intend to present a project that constitutes a breath in the city, the green landscape that the project will bring will be of great benefit for the formation of new architecture in areas, it also aims to be an element attached to the urban area that serves for the development as a public space.
