WELCOME Hello and welcome to Guildford Fringe Festival 2017! Can you believe it, Guildford Fringe Festival is 5 years old - we certainly can’t! It seems to have flown by and we don’t feel a day older… and we’re not asking for comments on how we look, as we’re sure that’s a different story! How do you celebrate a fifth birthday? Well, we’re both passionate about making the arts accessible to everybody so we’ve decided to open our festival with the Big Free Fringe Weekend. During the weekend of 1st and 2nd July you’ll be able to enjoy all sorts of wonderful entertainment, completely free of charge, including three evening shows. Come into Guildford Town Centre on both the Saturday and Sunday and enjoy performances from the Rock Choir, Surrey Fringe Singers, Surrey Hills Ukulele Big Band, Street to the Point, Flamenco Dancing and lots more! We’ll also have a small gazebo on the High Street for children to have some fun with arts and crafts - so come and find us! We hope you enjoy browsing through our brochure this year. As always, the events have been kept at incredibly affordable prices, so we hope you’ll try a few things out that maybe you wouldn’t usually. Why not? After all, that’s what a Fringe Festival is for. If you are free on the 1st July we’d love to see you at the opening show of Guildford Fringe Festival at G Live. We have the largest Gag House Comedy Club that we have ever produced, with a line-up you won’t get many chances to see all together, so please do take this opportunity and come and celebrate with us. We want to say a massive thank you to our sponsors, partners and to our Friends of the Fringe. Without all of these people and organisations we simply wouldn’t be able to continue. If you love what we do and you’d like to ‘join the team’ then please do check out our Friends of the Fringe scheme. It’s just £9 per month, but means that we can continue to bring all these wonderful events to Guildford. Finally, Guildford Fringe Festival is for us all to enjoy, so we hope you do just that. If you have any questions about any of the events then you can contact us via our website or through our various social media platforms. We can’t wait to see you all soon! Happy Fringing,

Nick Wyschna and Charlotte Bateup /GuildfordFringeFest
