This series entitled Spiral Works address the theme of helical displacement in space. I’m very interested in the Helix, to me is the equation that best describes the process of human development, because its tremendous resemblance to our path in search for meaning and growth. This work brings Mechanics Principia into aesthetical and perceptual examination, historically mechanics has enormous philosophical dimension and facilitates much progress in the human race. Through these pieces I intend to shift the function of common mechanical parts and concepts from the known scientific plane to a more subjective and symbolic context. The sculpting process consist of stacking a chosen material in sections to form a complex body, where the body means life and the sections those experiences that can turns its course.
