Developed in conjunction with MSRAA; this project complements the infrastructure of the Quillota Campus present in the same city, for which a land located at the top of a hill is acquired, land that presents a series of conditions, both regulatory and topographical, challenging and that largely define the reason for the project.
Although, programmatically, the project does not represent a great challenge, what it did were the inverted slopes that normatively limited the growth in height of the building in order to free the cones of vision of the viewpoints, and the large ravine present on the ground that, although at first glance represents a problem, it was chosen to consider it as a design opportunity.

The project; result of a public architecture competition awarded in 2022 by the office association MSRAA + OF Arquitectos + Cavagnaro Rojo, consisted of developing the new engineering faculty of the UOH, which was to incorporate 4 buildings. Sports Building (ED) with courts and multipurpose rooms, Auditorium Building (EA) with capacity for more than 200 people, School Building (EE), which houses the classrooms and workshops and the Institute Building (EI) that receives the laboratories and advanced research rooms.

Due to the large number of buildings and associated programs of the new UOH Engineering Faculty, the development of the project was carried out under the BIM methodology, which was essential to be able to coordinate the large number of specialties involved in the process. Based on this logic, the projects of certain specialties were 3D modeled to load the central model with as much information as possible, which would allow the detection of interferences, collisions and errors, which in the execution stages of the work are usually a problem.

From the deterioration produced by the passage of time and in the face of the new programmatic and spatial needs of the company; The project consisted of developing a remodeling project, which had to consider interventions both in the interior, to meet the current programmatic needs, and in the facade of the building, seeking to renew the image to the outside. These programmatic needs consisted of incorporating and/or modernizing meeting rooms, server rooms, work desks, managers’ offices, IT offices, warehouses and call centers. In addition to this, a fundamental requirement of the assignment was the need to think about the execution of the project in stages. Although the project was developed in its entirety, currently only the first stage has been executed.

The closure of the Huachipato steel foundry and the need to rearrange the company’s real estate assets led the CAP group to move CMP, its mining subsidiary, to the same building where they currently have headquarters. This project was awarded without competition and consisted of developing the remodeling of the first and second floors of the building to adequately accommodate the subsidiary.
Due to the limited natural lighting on the first and second floors of the building in question, the remodeling proposal consisted of generating open floors with workstations and additional programs, such as meeting rooms and private offices, in the perimeter sectors of the floor that did not have windows, to free up as much space as possible to avoid interrupting the scarce natural light. Additionally, given the condition of poor lighting, it was decided that all coverings, furniture and decoration elements would be in light colors, white, if possible, to enhance the lighting of the floor

The project; result of the award of a private tender because of the need to reorganize the large number of real estate assets and subsidiaries of the company, it consisted of developing a proposal for a standard apartment, which should incorporate a series of specific programs and enclosures. The proposal presented consisted of establishing an open workspace in the central part of the standard floor and topping off the ends of the floor with meeting rooms and private offices, separated by individual meeting booths. Additionally, and inspired by the history and field of CAP, it was proposed to cover certain walls with metal elements, which would give a modern and relevant look to the company

The remodeling project covered different sectors of the house, the main entrance, a bathroom, the loggia and the most important sector for the client, the barbecue area. Originally there was no barbecue area as such, rather it was a small and shady space where there was a small grill built in concrete.
The proposal consisted of incorporating a large roof of metal elements, insulated with glass at the top and covered with “coligues” in its ceiling, to protect the barbecue area from the sun and rain and define a space like the barbecue area. Under this roof a new grill was incorporated, of larger dimensions and with the capacity to incorporate a gas grill, in front of which a large table was arranged to invite everyone.

Inspired by the original house of the Errázuriz Vineyard; the answer to the project was to evoke the most characteristic architecture of the vineyard on the stand for the ProWein 2023 trade fair. This is how, rescuing the proportions of the façade of the original house and recognizing the condition of the vault of the tasting room with its central table, we managed to compose a repeating module that would make up the temporary space to inhabit during the fair
