There are two series of paintings in this catalogue.
The Beautiful Seeds of Destruction paintings incorporate a visual representation of disease juxtaposed with the life that sustains it. The paintings in the Inner Life series contrast internal reality with the material world.
These works are examples of Bilge’s Turkish Whirling technique. He developed this new style of oil painting by adapting the forms of traditional Turkish Ebru to produce marbling effect with a very high gloss finish that almost looks like ceramic.
