BRAUIC COMPETITION | RAILWAY STATION

Compitition has been held in China in which the each team needs to built railway station by using modern way of construction in which task is to achieve as much as detailes and techniques. Site has been selected in Coalville, England in which our team decided to go for sustainable methods. As per that concept we choose wood to construct with and the entire building’s major parts has been made out of wood. The station has been built in two levels. The shell of the building has been design through modular construction and fluid formation. Site has existing bridge which has been used to cross the railway track which in now the extry from both side of the station to enter into the building. Covering Part of the building is waterproof fabric, jali and glass. The jalis has been designed the cover the part as well as to provide the strength to the structure of the building. The landscape part of the site is extension of the builduing’s modular part which are creating verious type of sitting areas and mounds. Wooden parts of the structure has been constracted in the modular elements.

CONCEPTUAL PROCESS

The plane has been created and vertex has been lifted as per the load transfer and created this kind of plane with triangle trust.

Those same pattern has been followed and created all three side the same trust to transfer the load.

Those poly planes have been converted into the curve surfaces through computational methodology. The edges which are created those special trust is acting as an arch.

Both side of the openings has been covered through adding plans and join the vertexes by using merge command. The plans have been added at same level as the old one to transfer load easily.

Explore the shape more further the entire space converted into curved surface , so that the edges work as archesconvert into the structral element.

Those member has been exploded and wooden members has been came out and work as bone structure. THe columns has been added to support the centre part of the clumns.

The materials has been added to make it more transperant and visible from the distant. Those has been genreted.

Inner details has been gentreted to support the glass facade and wooden members has been genreted to support the entire space.

Modular Top

Silvertown Village is a waterside smart village centred around community and designed with sustainability, culture and safety in mind. The canal that is streaming in the middle of the residential building marks the focal point of the village and exemplifies the development’s key element of community, offering stunning views of the waterside. It will also reconnect people to the ancient canal culture of London. Communal spaces surrounding it host seasonal cultural events while amenities such as restaurants and cafes provide the immediate area with permanent settings of relaxing and enjoyment. The design idea based upon the analytical study of the context of the spacehighlighting both ‘to celebrate its past’ and ‘its present challenges’. Thezoning of the site reflects the right connect between the form and thefunction. The areas are planned to make the optimum use of the existing site.

The entire structure made from the wood and design through computational methodology.with wooden beam joinnary and the connection with slab and beam joints.

Expand the building exploration

Two cluster together create the cluster while following the grid and opening of all the direction allow light to fall in and entrance of the clusters are invinting the people. For creating this cluster formation, old cluster has been copy and roater into 240 degree and bring them together. All the openings of the building has been face on the back side of the buildings.

Bringing four cluster together and creat the cluster form which has center courtyard and the cluster where all four side of the blocks are open and has commercial spaces which attracts the people and those could connect entirely and used as a mix use building made from the compitational methodology.

This site has been located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India which is the prime location of the city where all the properties are extremly valued. The main road is named S.G. highway from there the site is marked in red Area. Site has the potencial of attaction as per the location and that is the reason bulding has been placed in the direction of the corener. Ferro cement is the experimental part of research in which it is crucial to understand the way of building has been built on site and the technical part of the drawings. Ferrocement building has been built different fromm the normal built form and this building includes the curvature and the arches. As this buildings base made out of the circle so for the foundation there needs to be center point which has been marked and arch details has been has been gone through as per the height of thew dome. The opening has been marked in such direction which needs to be provide the exact location and the dia meters of the circles. Cantilever arches which are covvers the doors ned be provide such amont of fabricational support.

This site has been located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India where this is the old city which is congested and covered with monuments. Site has potential to bring the attraction towards the building because it is located in the corner of the street. As well as the dept of the site is 100 m which is enough size to create streets while designing the builds and give the buffer space to the area. Building inculeds college, bank and turist center. All the functions has various requirements and to provide the functionlize space design has been done in nsuch a way to use for all type of buildings with well define curculation and vertical green area. Main fuctions has been distributed between the buildings and access of the functions has been provided through the bridges.
