PORTFOLIO About This is the very ď€ rst portfolio in my career of design. I put in here the design considered one of the best things I have done and learnt very useful lesson from those experiences. There might be not many designs to be presented. All the designs that you see below are the development from start-up to now. With such a long time of being raw hands, I came away with several fundamental insights that to have a good integral design the preparation ahead of doing it is very important. Most of the designs in my portfolio are about layout design. It's the things I could do the best and tend to follow the information design. To me, it's a combination of both image and content that giving readers and viewers the complete and legible understanding of what they have to think when seeing the design. A good communication layout design needs to be focused on both text and images, that's the point I pay scrupulous attention in every artwork. I hope I can get more experiences through new environment with interesting things to learn. I don't mind being busy or making mistakes. I wish to have lots of opportunities to grow up in my design career. Here are the assignments I have done during the time studying at school and some ď€ rst reality projects I have taken.

Withings ActivitĂŠ Booklet In this assignment, we have to design a booklet according to the available content that the teacher gave us. I drew the lesson of information hierarchy logically. The teacher guiding me in this course has encouraged me a lot and appreciated me as hardworking, responsible and in the way I tried to impact in layouts such as clean use of layout, type, elements of color, typography and photography. This is the good compliment that I always remember to improve myself in my later design.
Condom Campaign We designed poster to propagandize the effective using of condom in the same course. Looking back now, I'm appreciative of the experiences and I thought I could do it better. It's a memorable assignment that I've ever been done.
Making UI design for the ď€ rst time This is one of the assignments doing in a workshop guiding by a skillful and experienced senior designer. The topic is designing an interface about weather forecast app. I have picked up colors and ideas based on the real sensation as the red is the sign of heat that the temperature is above average or it's sunny outside and the blue will bring cool feeling when the temperature is low and it feels like storm or rain. Thing I love the most in this design is that I used the line hung below the information of temperature to create the impression of the weather conditions when displaying on a monitor. For instance, if it's cloudy or rainy, I used a blue curve tending upward slightly in the right side to make the feeling that the storm is brewing. On the contrary, when it's sunny day, I used a red curved line at the midpoint below the displayed temperature number to make feeling of the typical calm, gentle sunny day. It took me one night to ď€ nish this assignment and it's not really perfect. I've tried my best to do everything organizationally and completely, though.
Graphic design your name In this workshop, I have a task of using geometric to design my name. Because of the very long characters in the name, I choose to make them a chain of basic geometry lying in a poster. Although this poster has inclining to image, I've learnt how to use visual thinking in layout through the grid system that I've made. Despite of the fact that there're mistakes, I still like it.
Communication Prints of the Centre for Community Health Research and Support This is my ď€ rst personal real project. The customer is a non-governmental organization who starting to concern about the communication with their partners. I tried to have a discussion to make the clear and clean design using their basic brand images. This project brings me a lot of practical experiences, especially about image orientation process or plan making from the start and above all, the thorough hierarchy of information.
My landing page It's also one of the assignments in the recent workshop I've joined. Designing myself a landing page for personal website is deď€ nitely new for me. I've got used to layout design for printing, so that I had raw hands in digital design. After all, I tried to make my landing page as clearly and orderly as possible. I want to have a deeper understanding about display design on digital relying on the fundamental principles of layout design that I've been studied.
