Phillip Tripp, of Cobden, holds his dog Tinker Tuesday at his home. Tripp said he took the dog in after a friend no longer wanted her. Tripp said he retired from the Forest Service about a year ago and bought roughly an acre of land and a fifth wheel trailer that he lives in. When asked how he spends his retirement, Tripp said he’s just “trying to find something to do with the time.” Please see COUNCIL | 3
