Firefighters work to extinguish a fire Feb. 23 at Keen’s Trucking and Auto Service in Murphysboro. Business owner Mike Keen said he has had the shop on 3765 Watt Hill Road for five years. Despite the fire destroying the building, Keen said he has continued to conduct business. t’s cliché, but this semester, has been a truly rewarding experience. The photo staff has improved incredibly, leaving us with one nice Semester in Photos edition. And we’ve been through a lot as a group — the photo love is strong. Isaac, I can decrease my phone minutes now that I’m not your

don’t know when I have ever endured so much stress in my life like I have in this past semester. I actually developed bags under my eyes, but it was all for the love of this newspaper. Julia and I have watched the relatively new staff go through the highs and lows of developing their photojournalistic skills this whole
semester. I would like to believe that we helped these kiddos get at least a bit of a sense of what real life is like in the world of media. We were hardasses and I hope they appreciated all the time we dedicated to making them better. I loved all the laughs and tears we’re shared. — Edyta Błaszczyk

Rap jumping involves jumping off a cliff while using a repelling rope to catch yourself before you hit the bottom. “It’s a huge rush,” Swift said. “When you’re jumping off, everything just slows down and you get a real look at things.” According to rapjumping.com, rap jumping started in Australia in the late 1960s as a form of rope work for the Australian army. SIUC maintenance staff removed more than 90 percent of the posters the same day. “Someone denied everyone an opportunity to learn about human rights when they tore those posters down,” Weinhold said.
