Bridge to Brazil The drought in interior regions has allowed for beach–like conditions on the banks of the Takutu River, which residents enjoy. As seen in this photo, residents of Region Nine are also able to cross this make-shift bridge over to Brazil as the El Nino weather phenomenon has caused a significant drop in the water level in the river, which serves as the water boundary between Guyana and Brazil
