Govt to reclaim Red House land from PPP 7 P.

The Mayor and City Council as part of its ongoing programme to clean up Georgetown on Wednesday began demolishing several derelict buildings in the notorious Globe Yard located on Waterloo Street. Occupants of the buildings have complained about being rendered homeless and urged the government to find alternative shelters for them. In this Delano Williams photo two members of the demolition crew were hard at work tearing down the roof of one of the houses.
