WHAT The inaugural Caribbean Journal Travel Forum is a high-level conference that will bring together all sectors of the Caribbean travel industry for a day of new ideas, new thinking, engaging networking and deal-making. Fueled by Caribbean Journal, the world’s largest website covering Caribbean travel and tourism, the event will, for the first time, bring together government officials, hotel executives, investors, airlines, construction firms, developers, travel agents and other stakeholders, all with an eye toward moving the Caribbean’s largest economic driver forward.
WHO The one-day “Caribbean Davos” summit will be highlighted by a series of engaging panel “conversations,” all focused on big-thinking and deal-making.
HOW That includes a talk bringing together government officials and investors to talk about new projects; another on the state of citizenship-by-investment-driven hotel development; another will talk about the challenges of hotel development in the region, and how to fix them. Another conversation will address the state of Caribbean aviation, while the CJTF will also look at how climate resilience is impacting development. The forum will also feature a keynote speech by a major Caribbean player. The Caribbean Travel Forum is a center for thought leadership, where serious ideas collide with real-world business. By night, Caribbean Journal will hand out the winners of its seventh annual Caribbean Travel Awards at a gala dinner, celebrating the best in destination marketing, hotel management, gastronomy and investment.
