Prompt Payment & Leveraging Adjudication

The Construction Act, amended in 2019, represents a complete overhaul of the Construction Lien Act which was enacted in 1983. Prompt payment and adjudication are brand new substantive regimes in the Act that were introduced for the first time. The Act outlines procedures for disputes so they can be resolved in a more effective, and quicker, time frame. It provides rights and responsibilities for those in the construction pyramid, even where a direct contract is not found. You will receive a Guide and Forms document, and flow chart posters.
