Protect Your M obile Devices - and Your Identity (Family Features) M obile devices have become an indispensable tool for many people - and the thought of losing one of those devices, or having it stolen, is disco ncerting, to say the least. But it happens every day. It’s estimated that lost or stolen phones alone could cost U.S. users $30 billion in 2012. W hen a phone or tablet goes missing, so does a lot of personal information. And that can lead to m ore than just some inconvenience - it can lead to a stolen identity. The Federal Trade Commission estimates that as many as 9 million Americans have their identities s tolen each year. W hile identity thieves still resort to old-fashioned methods of information gathering, like go ing through trash and stealing w allets and purses, they can also get the personal information you store on your mobile device.

GO GREEN WHEN SPENDING TIME OUTDOORS THIS SUMMER Embrace eco-friendly activities. Various activities, from organic gardening to planting trees to beach cleanups, provide a great way to get outdoors and help the planet at the same time. Men and women who grow their own vegetables can take solace knowing that the vegetables they’re eating each night did not require the depletion of any natural resources to go from garden to table. Signing up for beach cleanups can prevent trash, including harmful plastics, from making its way into the world’s oceans, and such cleanups provide a great excuse to go to the beach.

from Cornell Cooperative Extension, Livingston County Where is a good place to buy milkweed seeds? – Bonnie Milkweed seeds may be purchased most readily from online sources including Prairie Moon Nursery, where I have been satisfied with my purchases. There are several varieties of milkweed native to the northeast. I would recommend butterfly weed (ASCLEPIAS TUBEROSA) as most appropriate for a home garden. Some people grow common field milkweed (ASCLEPIAS SYRIACA), but it has deep rhizomes (roots) that will spread over a large area.
I would like to plant some native flowers to attract butterflies and birds. Where do I get a list of such plants that are good for this area? – Bonnie There are so many interesting and beautiful native plants to choose from. The Finger Lakes Native Plant Society, website flnps.org, has an
exhaustive list of native plants in a 25-page printable list entitled “Native Plants Suitable for Wildflower Gardens & Meadows or Traditional Gardens in the NY Finger Lakes.” It is divided into 5 categories – 1. Herbaceous Plants-Annuals, Biennials, Perennials; 2. Ferns & Fern Allies; 3. Grasses, Sedges, Rushes; 4. Vines; 5. Shrubs & Trees.
Amanda’s Garden, Native Perennial Nursery. It is located in Sparta, NY (Dansville mailing address), at a beautiful site on Story Rd south of Hemlock Lake. The website is amandasnativeplants.com and contains an “Our Plants” section which includes images of native plants with brief descriptions. You can also sign up for their newsletter in which Anyone in our area interested they cover many aspects of native in native plants should know about perennial gardening.

A Look Back… MOMENTS IN TIME The History Channel
Health Benefits Of Plant-Based Nutrition (NAPS)—As people continue to look for ways to live healthier lifestyles, the plant-based diet continues to gain momentum. A plant-based diet describes a way of eating in which there is an emphasis on plant foods in the form of colorful fruits and vegetables, legumes and whole grains. Supporting Your Health with Plant-Based Foods Benefits of eating more plant foods are numerous. Plant foods are nutrient dense, which means that they provide an abundance of nutrients relative to their calorie cost. Fruits, veggies, beans and whole grains are terrific sources of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients and they’re naturally cholesterol-free. Most contribute a fair amount of fiber, too, so they help to fill you up and keep your digestive tract running smoothly. When you include plenty of these nutritious, filling foods in your diet, it leaves less room in your stomach for less healthy fare. That said, as the proportion of U.S. consumers who adhere to a vegan diet grows, so does the desire for these people to get more protein. In fact, a Nielsen HomeScan survey recently found that 39 percent of Americans are actively trying to eat more plant-based foods and 60 percent want to get more protein in their diets. Identifying Sources of Plant-Based Proteins The major sources of plant-based protein include beans, peas and lentils but whole grains are also important. You may think of whole grains as more of a carb than a protein and that’s true—most grains have more carbohydrate calories than protein calories. But whole grains contribute important essential amino acids to the diet. Most vegans know that in order to get the full complement of essential amino acids (the building blocks of proteins in the body), it’s important to consume both legumes (beans, peas, lentils) and whole grains. Soy is one of the few complete plant-based proteins, meaning it contains the nine essential amino acids that your body cannot produce on its own. How Much Protein Is Right For You? Protein is important for maintaining lean body mass. Susan Bowerman, Registered Dietitian and Senior Director of Worldwide Nutrition Education and Training at Herbalife Nutrition says the Institute of Medicine recommends you eat 10 to 35 percent of your total daily calories from protein. You can estimate your protein needs based on your current body weight. Simply, multiply your body weight by 0.7. The number you get is a reasonable target for the amount of protein, in grams, that you should eat each day. For instance, a woman who weighs 140 pounds should aim for about 100g of protein a day. A 220-pound man should shoot for at least 150g of protein. Introducing Other Plant-Based Proteins While most plant-based diets place an emphasis on whole foods, other plant-based foods that are derived from these whole foods can be included. So, in addition to legumes and whole grains (brown or wild rice, oats, quinoa, millet and the like), other sources of plant-based protein include soy milk, soy cheese, soy yogurt, tofu, tempeh, and protein powders made from plant sources such as soy, pea, rice, hemp, oats or quinoa. To help, Herbalife Nutrition’s Formula 1 Select and Protein Drink Mix Select are two new plant-based nutrition mixes specially formulated with a high-quality blend of pea, quinoa and rice proteins. Formula 1 Select is specially formulated to provide an excellent balance of protein and other key nutrients for optimal nutrition, is an easily digestible source of high-quality plant protein and fiber, and contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners. On July 19, 1884, President Chester Arthur issues a proclamation that grants him and the federal government the power to quarantine persons entering the U.S. to avoid the spread of “pestilence” (tuberculosis). On July 17, 1941, New York Yankees center fielder Joe DiMaggio fails to get a hit against the Cleveland Indians, bringing his historic 56-game hitting streak to an end. DiMaggio also lost the $10,000 promised to him by Heinz ketchup for matching the number “57” featured on its labels. On July 21, 1959, Elijah Jerry “Pumpsie” Green makes his Boston Red Sox debut, becoming the first African American ever to play for the Red Sox, the last team in the major leagues to integrate. On July 20, 1972, a two-year study by the U.S. Department of Transportation concludes that 1960-63 Chevrolet Corvairs are at least as safe as comparable models of other cars. In his book “Unsafe at Any Speed,” Ralph Nader had targeted the rear-engined Corvair due to its tendency to roll over.

Refreshments can make the event more lively, and selling refreshments is another way to raise money. Offer a selection of beverages, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, as well as chips and other finger foods. Consider catering the event or asking for volunteers to bring in food pot-luck style.
BANISH MOSQUITOES FROM YOUR YARD Time spent in the backyard on spring and summer afternoons and evenings contributes heavily to the popularity of these times of year. Many homeowners go to great lengths to make their outdoor living spaces as luxurious as possible, only to be bothered by uninvited and bothersome guests: mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are not just pesky nuisances, but they’re also harmful. According to the American Mosquito Control Association, more than one million people across the globe die from mosquito-borne diseases every year. Such diseases include malaria, dengue, yellow fever, West Nile virus, and the Zika virus.

DON’T LET SUNBURN DERAIL SUMMER FUN Apply - and reapply - sunscreen. Look for products that offer an SPF of 15 or greater. The American Academy of Dermatology actually recommends an SPF of 30 or greater. Make sure the product is broad-spectrum, meaning it protects against UVA and UVB rays. Apply sunscreen thoroughly, paying attention to the tops of feet, hands and other places that tend to go untreated. Reapply every two hours or more frequently, if necessary.

clean water. I had to boil water and drink it without any treatment tablets. That evening, I had painful cramps in my stomach, and in my upper abdomen, under my ribcage. Since then, my digestion has been horrific. I have constant rank gas and bloating when eating foods I’ve never had a problem with before, even fruits and vegetables. I have been a big eater of probiotic foods, with no digestive disturbances. However, since this incident, any form of probiotic, whether from capsule or natural foods like sauerkraut or kimchi, gives me the worst gas and bloating I’ve ever had. I had parasite and bacterial stool testing done with my doctor, and I came up clear. I feel like I need antibiotics or something to clear whatever is going on with my digestive system, but I’m hesitant because I have had four rounds of antibiotics in 2017 from surgeries. I am worried about “beaver fever.” What do you recommend? -- A.L. ANSWER: There are several infections one can get from drinking unprocessed water while camping. “Beaver fever” is a name for infection from the parasite Giardia lamblia, which is found in water where animals (especially beavers) are found. It’s a reasonable thought -- it’s one of the few waterborne infections that can persist for months. However, I think Giardia is unlikely. Symptoms from Giardia normally begin one to two weeks after exposure, and the parasites are killed very rapidly by boiling water. Your symptoms are very much like irritable bowel syndrome, and I do wonder if it might have been triggered by some event that day you were camping. Usually, three sets of cultures for parasites are done to make sure there isn’t an unwelcome guest in your intestine causing symptoms. A gastroenterologist would be a good choice to help you track down an identifiable cause and to get some symptomatic relief. Antibiotics are not recommended without knowing what you are treating. ***
PREGNANCY GINGIVITIS Among the many changes that women go through during pregnancy is the development of swollen gums that may be sore and vulnerable to bleeding. This form of gum inflammation, known as “pregnancy gingivitis,” is prompted by hormonal changes that lead to increased blood flow to the gums, making them swollen, sensitive, and irritated. It should also be noted that hormonal changes during pregnancy also slow the bodyís response to bacteria that cause gum infections. As a result, bacteria-laden plaque is more apt to accumulate on teeth, causing them to be more susceptible to gum disease. With all this in mind, pregnant women should schedule regular visits to the dentist to preclude potential gum problems.
It is our mission at BATAVIA FAMILY DENTAL to create and maintain healthy and beautiful smiles for our patients in a nurturing and peaceful environment. DEAR DR. ROACH: Seven years ago, I had a stroke. I was immediately put on Lipitor and Plavix. The statin drugs made my arms and shoulders ache, and the doctor tested me and found no reason for it. He said anecdotally that he had many patients who complained of the same thing. He then put me on fenofibrate. The pain stopped immediately. Now he says new research shows that any cholesterol-lowering drug makes the blood tests show lowered cholesterol levels but it does not prevent heart attack or stroke. So he took me off it. I wonder if you know anything about this study that said there was no benefit to taking statins. I did not really understand what he said. -- G.C. ANSWER: It sounds like the message got a bit confused. The evidence that statin drugs reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people at high risk, such as those who have had a previous event, is very strong. However, the evidence for fibrate drugs, such as fenofibrate, is much weaker. Statin drugs often cause some muscle aches. Pravastatin and fluvastatin are least likely to cause this problem, so it’s worth a try switching, in my opinion. Some people get relief from muscle aches with a CoQ10 supplement. *** Dr. Roach regrets that he is unable to answer individual letters, but will incorporate them in the column whenever possible. YOUR FUNGAL CURE!! TOENAILS • Were you embarrassed this summer to wear sandals or go barefoot because of thick, yellow nails? Now’s the time to get treatment. • If left untreated, fungal toenails can cause: recurring athlete’s foot, infected ingrown toenails (requiring surgery) and discomfort wearing shoes, not to mention their unsightly appearance. • Patients with diabetes, poor circulation, and numbness to their feet can develop more serious complications. • There are safer, new topical medications available to help cure fungal toenails. • A simple one a day pill for 3 months will usually cure fungal toenails within 6-9 months from the start of treatment. • Treatment now may result in clear, thinner nails for the year 2016. • Call now for an appointment to determine if you’re a candidate for this newer treatment.

ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION: 7 SURPRISING AND INSPIRING THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW (NAPSI)—For people on the transplant waiting list, returning to health is a real and remarkable possibility. In fact, more than 90 Americans get another chance at life every day thanks to organ donors. How many of these inspiring facts about donation and transplantation in the U.S. do you know? 1. Transplants literally keep people alive. In 2016, doctors gave former NFL quarterback and head coach Sam Wyche just days to live. Then, the same day Sam said his goodbyes, he received a new heart from a donor and a second chance at life. After the surgery, Sam said he “felt 20, 30 years younger” and he’s now back to biking, riding horses, and traveling to see his grandkids’ football games. 2. One person can give many life-changing gifts. People can donate organs (heart, liver, pancreas, intestine, two lungs and two kidneys) plus tissues (corneas, skin, heart valves, and other parts). Altogether, one donor can save up to eight lives and improve over 50 more. It’s incredible how one “yes” can change so many lives. 3. You can register online in minutes. You can visit organdonor.gov to sign up on your state registry as an organ, eye, and tissue donor. It’s wonderfully fast and easy to make a difference. 4. You can donate at any age. You might think that when organs turn 60 or 70, they’re ready to retire. Nothing could be further from the truth! A 93-year-old liver donor from Texas once saved the life of a 69-year-old teacher; and in 2017, one of every three donors was over 50. 5. Transplants grow with young recipients. Organs transplanted into children can grow and function into their adulthood and beyond. These gifts can last a lifetime. 6. A little goes a long way with livers. When transplanted, a segment of a donor’s liver will grow within a recipient until it achieves the functional capacity of a whole liver. 7. Recent innovations mean more possibilities. Vascularized composite allografts (VCAs) like face and hand transplants involve multiple kinds of tissue, and they’re giving hope to service members wounded in combat, people injured in other traumatic situations, and those born with missing limbs or severe disfigurements. Registering as an organ donor does not provide authorization for VCA donation. Your family must provide that authorization at the time of your death. Learn more at organdonor.gov/vca. Discover more about the surprising and inspiring world of transplantation and sign up to save lives at www.organdonor.gov, a website of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration.

RECOGNIZE SIGNS OF HEAT STROKE IN DOGS Can heat stroke be prevented? Though dogs can suffer heat stroke even on mild days, dog owners can take precautionary measures. • Alter routines. Walking can be great exercise for dogs, but on hot days dog owners can walk their dogs when temperatures tend to be at their most mild, such as in the early morning hours or evenings when the sun is setting or has already set. • Limit play time. Dogs generate heat when playing and exercising, and their body temperatures may rise considerably on hot summer days. To reduce dogs’ risk of heat stroke, limit play time on hot days. • Don’t travel with dogs. Temperatures can be unbearable inside vehicles, so dog owners should not take their dogs along when running errands on hot days.
Adopting a Shelter Dog
She is a 6-yearold Maine Coon/ tabby that makes everyone she meets fall in love with her! She found her new home when she showed up at the door as a stray several years ago. Her infectious personality and plentiful meows quickly make everyone fall in love with her. Don’t think there will ever be another cat like her! Send us a photo and brief write-up of your pet and we’ll feature it. Email to: sales@gvpennysaver.com or mail to: P.O. Box 340; Avon, 14414. Pets will be published at discretion of GVPS.
DEAR PAW’S CORNER: I read that stray dogs from foreign countries are being put up for adoption here and bringing new diseases with them. My family wants to adopt a dog, but now we’re uncertain about doing so. How can we make sure we’re getting a healthy dog? — Julie in Alexandria, Louisiana DEAR JULIE: You should certainly do some research before taking that super-cute puppy home from a shelter. Rescue shelters have gone through some dramatic changes in the past decade, and perhaps the most notable change is that dogs eligible for adoption are often shipped from a shelter in one region of the country to another region. Dogs from overseas also are being acquired by some shelters as demand for rescue dogs — particularly the “adorable” one or popular breeds — outstrips supply. There is little federal regulation — the USDA doesn’t track how many dogs are imported from other countries, for example — and states are only just beginning to tighten rules to ensure the health of dogs shipped across state lines. There are reports of newly adopted dogs developing severe illnesses, including a new strain of canine distemper virus — a highly contagious disease that closely resembles rabies.

“Where Your Pet is Part of Our Family”
Here are some important questions you should ask: • Where did the dog come from? Was it surrendered locally, sent from another state or unknown? • Ask for copies of health records. Has the dog been given vaccinations yet? • If the dog comes from another state or country, was it quarantined after arriving (at least 48 hours in some states)? Take the dog you adopt to a veterinarian as soon as possible for a health check and to get any needed vaccines. Create barriers. Preventing accidental drowning means removing easy access to pools. Pools should be surrounded by secure fencing with an automatically latching gate. Fences should not be accessible by climbing. Extra precautions like installing a safety cover on inground pools and removing or securing ladders when the pool is not in use can help as well.

Many people may be tempted to discard rusty tools that have gone unused and sat in a garage or shed for a significant period of time. But tools encrusted with rust do not need to be relegated to the trash bin, nor do gardeners have to toil for hours scraping and sanding off the rust. There’s a much easier way to restore rusty tools that relies on a common household ingredient: vinegar. Pour vinegar into a deep enough vessel to submerge the metal part of the tool. Soak the tool overnight. The next day, use a scouring pad to rub off the rust. If the tool is too big to fit into a can or bucket, simply wrap it with a vinegarsoaked rag and cover the whole tool with a tightly secured plastic bag. Follow the same procedure the next day. After all the rust is gone, rinse the tool in cool water and dry thoroughly. Then return it to regular usage.

Homeowners often choose to save money and learn valuable skills by doing their own home improvement projects. These minor or major renovations are made much more successful by having the right tools for the job. Investing in good tools can be smart, but those tools are only effective if they are accessible and in good repair. Homeowners who emphasize taking care of their tools can make DIY projects that much easier and more rewarding.

REMEDY LANDSCAPE DRAINAGE PROBLEMS When confronted with drainage issues that cannot be remedied by other methods, homeowners may need to install drainage systems. Such systems often employ French drains that are built through or around the perimeter of a property. French drains are typically a trench that contains perforated plastic pipe and is backfilled with gravel. Water runs into these channels and gets swept away by the piping. Do-it-yourselfers may want to try installing drainage systems themselves. However, because excavation is necessary, it’s often best to have the property inspected and marked for utilities, then have the drainage system installed by professionals.

I am writing this letter to convey my most deep and sincere appreciation for the incredibly supportive help I received during an emergency at my home in early June. Words cannot express my gratitude to Mike Kellogg, my neighbor who was there for me and went above and beyond to ensure my safety as well To those who are defending flying the Confederate flag: It is the 21st century, not the 19th. Regardless of your reasons for flying the flag, it has come to represent white supremacy. By flying it you are self-identifying as and aligning yourself with these terrorist groups, intentionally or not. It’s like flying a swastika and claiming you are not a Nazi sympathizer. Good luck with that. Then there is the issue of the Civil War ending over 150 years ago as did the Confederacy, so what’s your point? It’s time to let it go and move on. It’s not like you were around then and had a personal investment in the Southern cause. There is no place for the Confederate flag in the 21st century, save for in history museums. as to the First Responders whose determination to assist me helped save my life that day. Mike, your continued support and selfless acts of kindness to make things easier for me has not gone unnoticed; I am forever in your debt. To my family of 47 years at Graham Manufacturing, thank you for your love and kindness and inquiries, you are all unsung heroes in my book. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Lance Frens On the evening of June 12, 2019, my cat Kitten got hit by a car on Black Street Rd. in LeRoy. I would like to thank the lady kids could not play on a privately-owned, church playground: Empathy has nothing to do with it. That play equipment belongs to the church. I expect they are not in a position to maintain it for public use nor take on any liability for misuse. Having special needs does not mean your children are allowed to play with items that aren’t theirs. There are plenty of public play spaces.
for stopping and checking on the condition of Kitten. Unfortunately, Kitten did not survive. I am very grateful that the lady stopped. More motorists should abide by this example. Congratulations Staff SGT David Belavia for your medal for heroism. You made us proud. Not only for winning the Medal of Honor but additionally to your community service via radio show and support for local Veterans. As a Retired Veteran myself, you gave me “goose bumps” watching the presentation. Well done! I wanted to write a short note to express my appreciation for you and everything you do to help with There are so many liability reasons that they would not want to make it open to the public. Plus, there is the cost of upkeep. While town taxes go to paying to keep town playgrounds kept in working order, private donations go to keeping church playgrounds in working order.

You keep everyone safe, while moving traffic along to help those, like myself, get to work. You are always smiling and greeting the parents and students, even if it’s just with a friendly wave. a disrespect to the United states and its people. To the person who hit my neighbors’ little dog on our very busy street: I want you to know it wasn’t your fault. You probably should have stopped, but I get it, you may be a high school kid and were scared. My neighbors have regularly let the dog roam our neighborhood for years. Their previous dogs as well. They were reported many times to the dog warden but continued to subject us to their dog’s urine and feces. People need to wake up and be responsible for their pets and be considerate to neighbors. I am just glad I didn’t see it happen.

Shopping locally is a great w ay to benefit your community and, in many instances, your bottom line. W hen consumers shop locally, they help stimulate their local economies, creating jobs for their neighbors by helping local businesses grow and thrive. Shopping locally also saves shoppers long trips to the mall that can w aste expensive fuel, especially if consumers don’t find w hat they’re looking for. Shopping locally is especially important w hen the economy is struggling, as smaller businesses are not alw ays as capable of bearing the brunt of a recession as larger ones.

337 Bank Street, Batavia, NY 14020 ACCLIMATING TO A NEW NEIGHBORHOOD For a number of people, this may be the year they relocate to a new home or apartment. The moving rate in the United States has remained steady since 2008, with roughly 12 percent of the population relocating each year according to reports from the U.S. Census Bureau. Movement to the suburbs continues to be high, and renters tend to move more frequently than others. People who move cite a new job or a job transfer as one of the primary motivators to relocate. Acclimating to a new home and neighborhood after a move can be challenging. Even after boxes have been unpacked and items put away, some people still feel unsettled. It could be because one of the most important parts of being in a new house is feeling at home. That involves meeting neighbors, having friends over for dinner and knowing all of the local haunts that help solidify a homeowner as a true member of his or her new neighborhood. It can take time to establish feeings of belonging.
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS..NEW LISTING! Extremely nice single family home with many upgrades PLUS a totally separate 1 BR apartment with separate utilities to help with the mortgage. Would be great for in law, snowbirds or even at home business. Ample parking and a 1+ acre lot! 23 West Main St, Corfu. Pembroke Schools. For information call Bernadette Penfield, Broker at 585-356-5559

EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITY
HOROSCOPE ARIES (March 21 to April 19) Your honesty is, as always, admirable. But you might want to be more tactful in discussing a sensitive issue with a family member. Remember: You can give advice without giving offense. TAURUS (April 20 to May 20) An unexpected workplace snag should be handled quickly and efficiently so that it leaves you time for family get-togethers. Also, you might soon get that long-sought apology. GEMINI (May 21 to June 20) Aspects favor family matters, especially where children might be involved. Spending time with loved ones helps restore some much-needed balance to your typically busy schedule. CANCER (June 21 to July 22) That seemingly clear-cut agreement might not be quite so straightforward after all. Recheck for language that could make you liable for hidden costs and other unpleasant surprises. LEO (July 23 to August 22) Careful, Kitty. Better to deal with someone with proven reliability than with a big talker who promises much but can’t confirm that he or she will deliver. Your social life really zings this weekend. VIRGO (August 23 to September 22) Your matchmaking skills are at peak performance levels both in helping to staff workplace teams for upcoming projects and for bringing people together on a more personal basis. LIBRA (September 23 to October 22) You’re finally seeing some progress with your new venture. But be prepared for it to continue at a slower pace than you’re used to. Meanwhile, a loved one could be preparing a surprise. SCORPIO (October 23 to November 21) A family member’s success pulls you into the spotlight as well. Enjoy it, but don’t let it overshadow or otherwise obstruct what you’re doing with your own creative projects. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 to December 21) Using what you already know might not be quite enough to get a proposed project off the ground. Look for any new information that might help tilt the scales in your favor. CAPRICORN (December 22 to January 19) Good news: While a changing workplace environment can be daunting for some, it could be the challenge you’ve been hoping for. If so, confront it with confidence and move on. AQUARIUS (January 20 to February 18) It’s a good time to recheck travel arrangements for any changes that could work to your advantage. Aspects also favor strengthening and restoring old, fraying relationships. PISCES (February 19 to March 20) Using your intuitive reasoning helps you cut right through the double-talk and go straight to what’s really going on around you. Stay the course until all your questions are answered. BORN THIS WEEK: You radiate light and warmth, and others love being close to you. (c) 2019 King Features Synd., Inc.

Utility costs vary depending on the size of a business, but the U.S. Small Business Administration notes that prospective business owners must estimate and include such costs when seeking loans to start their businesses. Estimated utility costs can be intimidating, especially for those owners who have never before owned their own businesses. Traditional conservation methods like recycling and reusing are great ways to conserve and save around the office, but business owners also can embrace some other ways to lower their office energy costs while benefitting the planet at the same time.
