PENNY SAVER ONLINE POLL: We have heard a lot about the cloning of animals recently from Barbra Streisand’s beloved pet dog to Adolfo Cambiaso’s champion polo pony.

www.gvpennysaver.com/marketplace/coupon_club/

What do you think about the practice of cloning animals as a way to get exactly the animal that you want? • Don’t mess with Mother Nature! There are plenty of animals out there that are just as worthy! • The science is available, why not use it! • I don’t have to worry about making this decision, the cost is way too much for my budget! Poll Ends: 03/27/18 Vote at: www.gvpennysaver.com Poll Results: 03/20/18 How do you think our youth are influenced by video games? • They are just games and do not encourage violent behavior in youth. – 15.4% • Games that focus on shooting the opponent make our youth believe that this is the way to overcome tough situations. – 46.1% • More research needs to be done to fully understand the impact. – 38.5%

Thank You I would like to thank my wonderful relatives & friends for all the cards, flowers, food, gifts and prayers. Your generosity means so much to me. I especially thank my amazing family for the love and care they give me every day. It’s been a long road these past 6-8 weeks and they have been by my side every step of the way. I am very grateful to them all. May God Bless You.

SAFETY IN NUMBERS: WHY IT PAYS TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULBS IN PAIRS When it comes to vehicle maintenance, the rule of two has long reigned among professional automotive technicians and driving safety advocates. In accordance to this rule, drivers replacing important parts in their cars and trucks, such as tires, brakes, shocks and wiper blades, should always do so in pairs. Replacing parts in pairs can ensure vehicles are properly balanced and functioning safely. But it’s not just tires, brakes and other big-ticket components that should be replaced in pairs. Vehicle lighting plays an integral role in keeping drivers and their passengers safe, and motorists should exercise the same caution regarding their vehicles’ headlights, taillights and turn signals that they do when maintaining the rest of their cars and trucks.

Refresh Your Home for Spring Get rid of grime A whole season’s worth of dirt and dust accumulates during the cold winter months. A deep clean inside and out can restore your home to its former glory. Inside, take time to launder all of your linens, including curtains, rugs and bedding. Move furniture to vacuum behind and below, and don’t overlook dust and dirt magnets like mirrors, light fixtures and the insides of cabinets, especially higher shelves that see infrequent use. Outdoors, hose off or power-wash surfaces like windows, siding, decks and concrete to restore a crisp, clean appearance.

SIMPLE WAYS TO BE MORE CHARITABLE Being charitable is rewarding, not only to those on the receiving end of others’ good deeds but also for those doing the giving.

And ANTIQUES

Research conducted by the National Institutes of Health found participants who chose to donate a portion of money they were provided activated pleasure centers in the brain. Doing something positive can be uplifting, and being charitable helps others in need.

Antiques & Collectibles

Quite often people who engage in charitable works find inspiration through their efforts. That’s because working with a nonprofit group can create opportunities to meet new people, socialize and be surrounded with like-minded individuals. It also may help adults serve as role models to youngsters. Children who see their parents or other adults being charitable may be more likely to be philanthropic when they grow up.

MONDAY, MARCH 26TH

Every little bit counts when being charitable. Philanthropy doesn’t mean donating thousands of dollars or lots of hours volunteering. The following are some relatively easy ways to incorporate charity into one’s life.

Auction

Preview 4:00PM • Auction 5:00 PM 175 S. Main St., Canandaigua, NY 14424

• Collect change: Place a coin jar near where you put your keys or wallet when entering the house. Empty loose change into the jar and watch it fill up. Use the collected funds to donate to a charitable group.

ONE SOURCE AUCTION Terms 10% Buyers Premium for cash & good NYS check. 13% Buyers Premium for debit & credit cards.

For photos and more info visit: www.onesourceestateservices.com

• Round up: When the grocery store checkout clerk asks if you want to round up your purchase to the nearest dollar for charity, opt in. • Become a leader: Volunteer your time as a scout troop leader, coach a sports team or offer free tutoring for students. You’ll be making an immediate difference in the lives of young people. • Charitable consumption: Buy from companies that are involved with cause-related products. Many products are tied to charitable efforts, with a portion of money going directly to nonprofits.

585-261-8506 Gift Auctions Can Successfully Raise Funds Gift auctions are a fun way to raise money for good causes. Organizing a gift auction requires a team of dedicated volunteers. * Enlist a team of gift-wrappers. Presentation may determine bids and increase those bids. Ask for donations of baskets and wrapping materials, such as ribbon and cellophane. Each prize can be wrapped in ways to entice bidders to bid high and bid often.

• Throw a party: Host a party with a philanthropic theme. Guests can arrive and make a donation or bring a gift that will go to a charitable cause. • Use your hobby: Participate in charity fundraisers that incorporate some of your favorite hobbies. For those who knit or craft, donate or sell your creations for the good of those in need. Being charitable is easier than one might think, and even the smallest efforts can produce big results.

DID YOU KNOW? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, regular physical activity is one of the most important things older adults can do to promote their long-term health. The CDC recommends that men and women age 65 or older who are generally fit and have no limiting health conditions need at least two hours and 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, such as brisk walking, each week. In addition, such people should perform strengthtraining activities that work all major muscle groups at least two days per week. While many fit older men and women with no preexisting health conditions are capable of these activities, those able to push themselves a little further can opt for 75 minutes per week of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity, such as jogging or running, combined with the same strength-training regimen. A combination of moderate- and vigorous-intensity aerobic activity coupled with strength training may also provide adequate physical activity for aging men and women. Before beginning a new exercise regimen, men and women should consult with their physicians to discuss any limitations they may have and how to manage those risks while still being active.

RECOGNIZE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS HOUSEHOLD CHEMICALS Air fresheners: These seemingly innocuous products may be doing more harm than good. Information published in a 2015 issue of The Journal of Toxicological Sciences linked air fresheners to volatile organic compounds, or VOCs. They also may contain ultra-fine particles of formaldehyde and phenol. In addition, National Geographic’s The Green Guide states that many air fresheners contain nerve-deadening chemicals that coat nasal passages and temporarily block one’s sense of smell. Many widely available air fresheners use phthalates, which are linked to hormonal and reproductive issues, birth defects and developmental disorders. In lieu of chemical air fresheners, spray diluted essential oils around the house.

TO YOUR GOOD HEALTH By Keith Roach, M.D.

Statins Are No Match for Cheeseburgers --DEAR DR. ROACH: My son is 53, and three years ago he had three stents put in due to clogged arteries. His cardiologist put him on Lipitor at 80 mg. I don’t know if this is necessary. I worry that it might do more harm than good. -- J.K. ANSWER: In people with blockages in the arteries in their hearts, there is really no doubt that medications like atorvastatin (Lipitor), a statin drug, reduce the risk of heart attack. Although they can have side effects, for most people the benefit far outweighs the risks. It’s important to recall that even a powerful medication like a statin can’t optimally treat people if they don’t treat themselves right. Years ago, I had a patient who was doing well after his bypass surgery and was taking a statin with good results. Walking through the hospital cafeteria, I saw him eating a triple cheeseburger (why the cafeteria even sold such a thing is a separate question), and he sheepishly argued that he was taking his statin. A statin can’t beat a triple cheeseburger. Good cardiac health requires a good diet of mostly plants, with whole grains, nuts, fruits and fish included for people who choose to. Exercise is the other important part of the treatment, and just plain walking is nearly as good as any exercise. Medication, though of benefit, is just a small part of a healthy lifestyle and preventing heart disease, which, although rates are decreasing, is still the leading cause of death in industrialized countries. READERS: Heart disease remains the No. 1 killer. The booklet on clogged heart arteries explains why they happen and what can be done to prevent clogging. Readers can obtain a copy by writing: Dr. Roach -- No. 101W, 628 Virginia Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. Enclose a check or money order (no cash) for $4.75 U.S./$6 Canada with the recipient’s printed name and address. Please allow four weeks for delivery. *** DEAR DR. ROACH: I am a 77-year-old male. I have really been shedding the hair on my arms and legs. Is this normal for a man of my age? I have been taking hydrocodone and simvastatin, along with the usual vitamin supplements. Could the medications or supplements that I am taking have anything to do with my hair loss? Could it be my diet, or is it just old age? -- R.C. ANSWER: Hair loss on the arms and legs is less common than on the scalp. Hormonal changes (especially thyroid and testosterone) and medications can be the culprit. A myriad of skin diseases can do it, but these usually have visible skin changes associated. Chronic swelling (edema) of the extremities might be the cause. Simvastatin has rarely been associated with hair loss. However, when I see hair loss on the lower extremities, I worry about peripheral artery disease, which is very common and underdiagnosed. Being on simvastatin suggests that you have had high cholesterol, which is a risk factor for PAD. Having hair loss on both arms and legs, however, makes me more concerned about a systemic cause. *** Dr. Roach regrets that he is unable to answer individual letters, but will incorporate them in the column whenever possible. Readers may email questions to ToYourGoodHealth@med.cornell.edu. The following recipe for “Garbanzo-Carrot Hummus with Grilled Yogurt Flatbread” from James Campbell Caruso’s “España: Explore the Flavors of Spain” (Gibbs Smith) includes some Moroccan flavors that give this easy-toprepare recipe a truly unique taste.

Garbanzo-Carrot Hummus with Grilled Yogurt Flatbread

Magic Maze CHOCOHOLIC DELIGHTS

Makes 2 cups 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped Salt 1 cup cooked garbanzo beans, drained 4 teaspoons chopped cilantro plus 1 teaspoon for garnish 2 tablespoons chopped red onion 21/2 teaspoons ground cumin 11/2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds 2 tablespoons lemon juice 4 teaspoons olive oil 2 teaspoons chile flakes 2 teaspoons Moroccan Spice Blend (see below) Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper 1 batch Yogurt Flatbread (see below) In a medium saucepan, combine the carrots with 2 quarts water and 2 teaspoons salt. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, until the carrots are tender. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the carrots to drain and cool in a colander. Combine carrots and remaining ingredients, except for Yogurt Flatbread, in the work bowl of a food processor and puree until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper and garnish with the remaining cilantro. Serve with fresh, hot Yogurt Flatbread cut in wedges.

Moroccan Spice Blend Makes about 2 tablespoons In a small resealable glass or plastic container, combine 1 teaspoon each of: ground cumin, ground turmeric, saffron threads, ground coriander, ground cinnamon, ground smoked paprika, finely grated lemon peel.

Yogurt Flatbread Serves 4 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon coarse salt 21/2 cups plain yogurt Olive oil Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the work bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook. Add the yogurt and mix on low speed for 2 minutes. Cover the work bowl and allow the dough to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat a gas or charcoal grill to medium. Scrape the dough from the work bowl and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a long log and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and use a rolling pin or tortilla press to flatten it into a 1/4-inch-thick tortilla shape. Brush each “tortilla” lightly with olive oil. Grill each for about 40 seconds then turn and cook another 40 seconds.

Your Ergonomic gardening techniques can make gardening less taxing Gardening is a popular activity that seems to be gaining even more supporters. Statistics reports that the number of people who gardened within the last 12 months in the United States rose from around 105 million in 2008 to 118 million in 2017. Gardening can be relaxing yet physically demanding work. Gardeners who find themselves battling aches and pains after spending time in the garden may need to make a greater effort to reduce injuries and improve comfort when tilling, weeding or installing new landscape features. Ergonomic gardening techniques and tools can help gardeners reduce their risk of injury and make gardening more comfortable. Warm up Just as novice athletes wouldn’t dive right into a strenuous workout at the gym, nor should novice gardeners immediately pick up a shovel and jump into digging a hole for their new tree. Gardening requires bending, stooping, lifting, twisting, and other movements that work the entire body. Spending 10 or more minutes stretching, walking and doing a few back and arm rotations can limber the body up for the physical activity to come. Use proper form Think about the mechanics of lifting weights during a workout, as home and garden tasks may mimic movements made when exercising. The occupational therapists at Bend Spinal Care say that strain on the lower back can be reduced by positioning objects close to the body and its center of gravity when lifting them. Furthermore, people can contract their abdominal (core) muscles when lifting and bending to support the back. When lifting heavy objects, power should be derived from the legs and buttocks rather than the back.

Keep items close Keeping work closer to the body will reduce the need for stooping, leaning or reaching, which should cut down on pulled muscles. Long-handled tools can help minimize reaching. Use step ladders to reach high areas or get down on padded cushions to work closer to the ground. This alleviates strain to the neck from having to look up or down for extended periods of time. Raised garden beds can bring plants to a person’s level. The therapists at ProCare Physical Therapy say that working below shoulder level whenever possible can prevent shoulder strains; otherwise, perform tasks for no more than five minutes at a time. Invest in new tools Cushioned grips and grip handles can prevent wrist fatigue, as can hand tools that keep wrists straight to improve strength and reduce repetitive motion injuries. Long-handled tools and push mowers should be as tall as the person using them. Seek out tools that keep the body in natural positions to maximize efficiency. Even though gardening is viewed as a relaxing pastime, the work involved can be taxing on the body. Ergonomic tools and proper form can keep injuries at bay.

I would like to thank the woman who found my wallet at the Victor Target store on Wednesday afternoon, March 7th. After paying for my purchases, I thought I dropped my wallet back into my purse, but without me realizing it, I missed and it fell to the floor. I was told the honest woman in line behind me turned it in, completely intact. I was home for a while before realizing my wallet was missing, and panic set in. What a relief when told Target had it in their locked cabinet. I can't thank you enough for being honest and turning my wallet over to customer service. Whoever you are, I am eternally grateful to you. Thank you to the Target employees who kept it secured until I could retrieve it. Bless all of you.

I’d like to respond to the venter who was complaining about recycling in an "upscale neighborhood" making the area a "mess." HOW can you complain about a natural phenomenon over which people have no control?! Send all your hot air up to the weather gods!! (BTW it's "incredible" NOT "incredulous").

Just after getting to a Doctor appointment for my Husband today (we are Seniors) my cairn terrier-support dog "J" got loose when the plastic snap on his collar came apart. J took off running through the Henrietta Park area with me chasing after him. J wasn't slowing down and he then ran across Calkins Road. I would still be trying to find and catch J if it weren't for "Sam and Cory of the Town of Henrietta" who came to my aid, caught and saved J. Thank you so very much Sam and Cory!!! God Bless You! I will pay it forward. Anna and J I want to thank my wonderful neighbors from the farm on

I travel up and down [local road] many times since I have family in [local town]. I had to stop a few times for the ducks that cross the road to get to the water on the other side. I watch for them every time I drive that way. My heart was broken when I saw one had gotten hit. Ducks do not fly away like other birds do. They waddle away. If you cannot stop or slow down for these beautiful creatures then you should not drive. I have stopped for all kinds of animals since I am an animal lover and we must share this earth with them. Please have a heart and watch out for the ducks. In a craft store the other night, a severely ill child was shopping for club project materials with Mom. Kid

Cadyville Rd. in Livonia. Every snowfall they send someone over to plow my very long driveway. During this last snowfall they were out there at 6am plowing so I could get to work on time. It is neighbors like that, that create a wonderful neighborhood to live in. Thank you so much. Thank you to all of the drivers who stopped to check on me after my car went off the road after encountering unexpectedly snowy roads in Lima over the weekend. It was heartwarming to see how many people took the time to make sure I was okay. And special thanks to the gentleman in the red pickup truck who was able

to tow my car out of the snow bank. Thank you again for taking the time to help!!!!

coughed at least 100 times most without covering mouth in the 20 minutes they were in the store. I counted 75 coughs after about 5 minutes of this while I cowered in back of store waiting for them to leave. I know it is important for a child to pick out their own supplies for projects, but the child clearly was not well enough shop in public yet. If he absolutely had to be there, kid needed a mask and proper instruction on covering cough Dracula style. Exposed fellow shoppers and employees to whatever illness child had. This is how severe illness spreads needlessly. Please be considerate of others by staying home or covering yourself with a mask if you must go out when ill.

Don't assume that your 'daytime running lights' include your taillights. Even on many of the newer vehicles, the back end of your vehicle is NOT illuminated, unless you physically turn your DRIVING lights on. Cars in this morning's fog were nearly invisible from behind; same thing happens in the rain and snow. EASY FIX? Drive with your lights on all the time, the cost of replacing them a little more often is more than offset by increasing your visibility and safety. Just because YOU can see doesn't mean other drivers can see you, especially if their windows are dirty.

Thank you to whoever found and turned in a gold hoop earring at The Dollar Store in Batavia. It has been reunited with its mate. Your honesty is appreciated by its grateful owner!

THE HISTORY OF BOUTONNIÈRES Men wear boutonnières on special occasions, including weddings, religious ceremonies and prom night. At weddings, the groom and his groomsmen typically boutonnières. But some historians believe men have not always worn flowers strictly on special occasions. Some believe the modern-day boutonnière traces its lineage to sporting events in ancient civilizations, including Egypt. During those times, men might have worn certain colored flowers as a show of support for particular participants in sporting events, not unlike how many modern sports fans wear team shirts, jerseys and other attire to display their support for their favorite teams. But according to GentlemansGazette.com, the boutonnières of today likely started appearing just a few centuries ago. A 1771 painting of British Captain William Wade by the artist Thomas Gainsborough depicted Wade wearing a bouquet of flowers in his top buttonhole. And in the 19th century, men’s fashion included coats that folded over the top, revealing the inside of the buttonhole. Boutonnières provided an aesthetically appealing way to cover up that buttonhole.

Modern technology has forever transformed the classroom. As calculators replaced abacuses, mobile phone apps have now replaced calculators, and such advancements continue to change how students learn. One way schools are notably different from those of the past is through the absence of a once major component of the classroom layout. Chalkboards are either missing or completely retrofitted in modern learning environments. In the 1800s, slate blackboards were the new technology, replacing handheld tablets of wood or slate. Within the last few years, schools have increasingly opted for cleaner “white boards” or “smartboards,” which are digitally connected to computers and offer touch interfaces similar to those on tablets and smartphones. As ebooks replace textbooks and more assignments are handed in via digital documents, lockers may be the next to vanish.

April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go. ~ Christopher Morley, John Mistletoe

14th Anniversary Alcohol and Drug Awareness and Abuse Poster Contest Held at St. Agnes School By Donald Drexler Students at St. Agnes School in Avon recently participated in their 14th Alcohol and Drug Awareness and Abuse Poster Contest for ages 8 to 11. Posters included a slogan that reflected either of the topics and an original visual image. Judges scored the posters on slogan, artistic merit and overall impact. This year the themes were clearly presented, the visuals conveyed a message and in turn additional time was spent on artistic talent which captured the judges’ attention and caused all of us to reflect on the topic. For 14 years in a row St. Agnes School has had 100% participation in the contest. The contest has created an increased awareness among the youth of problems with alcohol & drug abuse, and at the same time, the youth carry the word to others of their own age, in their own language. Each winner received a gift certificate presented by Elizabeth Jensen, Principal of St. Agnes School. Throughout the years over 100 - $50 savings bonds have been awarded to the youth. Contest winners include Emmaline Dowd, Ruairi Mann, Sydney Arbelo, Catherine Staley, Thomas Schueter, Sophie Dowd, Joseph Hayes, and Colleen Talty. Honorable Mention went to Vivanne Boor, Eden Latuik, Maril Dambra, Elizabeth Caizzo, Kennedy Guhman, Caroline Hayes, Ellen Burke, Olivia Caiazzo, and Angel Rangel-Garcia.

Alternate Judges not pictured are Mr. Kevin W. Dougherty, Morgan Hellquist Art Director - St. Agnes School, Mrs. Christine DeVito - St. Agnes Church Youth Ministry.

I also wish to thank Elizabeth Jensen Principal, St. Agnes School, along with everyone at St. Agnes School & Church for their support, promotion and encouragement with students to participate. Congratulations on 100% participation from St. Agnes School for grades 3, 4, 5, & 6. I am very proud of you, your teachers and staff.

A special thank you with sincere appreciation to My final words at the awards ceremony were those who have helped with the Alcohol and Drug “Today you are our youth. May your efforts be an encouragement to all, especially programs like this to come.

DID YOU KNOW? Numerous studies have found that vacationing produces a host of health benefits. The ongoing Framingham Heart Study, which began in 1948 and is currently studying its third generation of participants, found that men who did not take a vacation for several years were 30 percent more likely to have heart attacks than men who took time off. In addition, the FHS found women who take a vacation only once every six years or less were nearly eight times as likely to develop coronary heart disease or have a heart attack as women who vacation at least twice per year. Vacations also have been linked to lower stress levels, as a study from the American Psychological Association concluded that vacations reduce stress by removing people from activities and environments that are the sources of their stress. Vacations can even benefit employers, as an internal study from the professional services firm Ernst & Young found that employees’ year-end performance ratings improved by 8 percent for each additional 10 hours of vacation time they took.

ADVICE FOR A SUCCESSFUL CAREER CHANGE Get new skills. Learn which skills you have that are transferrable to a new career and which ones you may need to acquire. Take a course or two or sign up for training seminars. Don’t immediately assume you need to return to school before investigating other, less costly avenues.

Work-related stress is a significant issue for many professionals. But working in tandem with their employers can help professionals effectively cope with that stress.

WAYS ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONALS CAN IMPROVE THEIR RÉSUMÉS Rather than focusing on job responsibilities at each job you held, gear the résumé around what you achieved in each position. This will help identify how you performed in the position, instead of just a general retelling of what you did. It can be challenging to achieve this for jobs that don’t naturally lend themselves to numerically quantitative results (i.e., increased department sales by 15 percent), but it’s still possible to use a résumé to illustrate your achievements. Rather than state that you were responsible for providing customer service, explain that you built your reputation on conveying difficult technical terms to the layperson, serving as the go-to employee for translating job jargon for outside correspondence. If you have quantitative proof of how you accomplished something, certainly add it. This can include measures of profit growth, reduction of debt or increase in customer base.

DID YOU KNOW? Retirement can seem like it will never come for young professionals. But time can be a sieve, and retirement age can arrive in the blink of an eye. Young adults who have not planned accordingly for retirement can find themselves in financial straits at a point in their lives when they want to kick back and enjoy themselves. Financial experts advise that financially solvent people should begin saving aggressively for their retirements early on. Ideally people should start saving in their 20s when they first leave school and begin their careers. The sooner one saves, the more time money has to grow. Vanguard says that the person who saves $4,500 per year over a career spanning 45 years can reach a goal of having more than $1 million in savings by the time he or she retires. Compounding interest and investment matches from employers can further secure professionals’ financial futures.

GET ORGANIZED AND IMPROVE WORKPLACE PRODUCTIVITY Many working professionals aspire to be as productive as possible. In working environments where employees are forced to wear many hats, efficiency can help workers meet their deadlines and get tasks accomplished. Organization can help professionals keep track of their work assignments and stay on schedule. Staying organized does not come naturally to everyone, and those finding it difficult to juggle various assignments at once can try the following strategies to stay organized and increase their productivity. Stop multitasking. While it can seem counterintuitive for people with a lot on their plates to stop multitasking, researchers at the University of Utah found that performance suffers when people try to do more than one thing at a time. While researchers discovered that a small percentage of people they dubbed “supertaskers” were capable of multitasking without adversely affecting their performance, the vast majority of people should avoid trying to tackle more than one task at a time. Professionals can work on different projects throughout the day, but allot time for each project rather than trying to work on several at once. Schedule each day. Establishing a schedule and making it as accessible as possible is another way to stay organized and increase productivity. Professionals can make use of scheduling apps on their tablets or smartphones, even setting alerts so they do not forget about projects or meetings. Routinely check the schedule throughout the day, marking off tasks as they’re completed. Cut back on time spent in meetings. A 2014 survey from AtTask conducted by Harris Poll reported that American workers at companies with 1,000 employees or more spend just 45 percent of their workdays tending to their primary job duties. Survey participants reported spending 40 percent of their time in meetings, tending to administrative tasks and dealing with interruptions. In lieu of in-person meetings, professionals can discuss projects via mass emails, which can be a much more efficient means to organizing and discussing a project than sitting in a room several times per week. Take breaks throughout the workday. Busy professionals may feel as though they don’t have time for breaks during a typical workday. But such breaks can benefit workers in ways they might be unaware. For example, the Association for Psychological Science notes that research has shown that building breaks into a workday helps professionals stay sharp and productive. And when workers take their breaks matters, too. Researchers at Baylor University discovered that mid-morning breaks were more beneficial than late afternoon breaks. Staying organized and increasing productivity at work go hand in hand. Professionals tasked with juggling multiple responsibilities can employ various strategies to be better organized and get more done in less time.
