HOROSCOPE ARIES (March 21 to April 19) Take time from your busy schedule to check out what’s going on around you. You might find that someone has been secretly trying to pull the wool over those beautiful Sheep’s eyes. TAURUS (April 20 to May 20) Once again, the Bovine’s boldness pays off in uncovering the source of a disturbing workplace situation. Your personal life calls for patience, as a certain matter plays itself out. GEMINI (May 21 to June 20) Forget about going all out to impress someone in your personal life. Just being yourself is all that matters. A workplace decision will need more time. Don’t rush into it. CANCER ( June 21 to July 22) Some supersensitive Crabs might take offense at what they perceive as a slight. But a closer look points to a simple misunderstanding. The weekend holds a welcome surprise. LEO ( July 23 to August 22) Sure, you can roar your head off over someone’s failure to keep a promise. But the wiser course would be to ask why it happened. Be prepared for an answer that might well surprise you. VIRGO (August 23 to September 22) A developing relationship needs time to find its direction. So please be patient and resist pushing things along. A recently cooled-down workplace situation could heat up again. LIBRA (September 23 to October 22) Congratulations. Your well-thoughtout proposal seems to be working. Someone who hasn’t agreed with you on most things in the past could turn out to be one of your major supporters. SCORPIO (October 23 to November 21) Things seem to be going well. However, you can still expect criticism -- some of it pretty heavy. But as long as you can back up your position, you’ll be able to rise above it. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 to December 21) Getting together with people who care for you is a great way to get that ego boost you might feel you need at this time. Things start to look brighter by week’s end. CAPRICORN (December 22 to January 19) You should be able to continue with your plans once you get past those temporary delays. Surprise, surprise. An offer to help comes from a most unlikely source. AQUARIUS ( January 20 to February 18) Prioritizing your tasks is important this week because of all those demands you have to deal with. The pressure eases in time for you to enjoy the weekend. PISCES (February 19 to March 20) Save your energy and stay focused on what has to be done, despite all those distractions you’re likely to face. You should see some evidence of real progress by week’s end. BORN THIS WEEK: You are a generous, giving person who is always ready, willing and more than able to help others in need. FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 2019
TO YOUR GOOD HEALTH By Keith Roach, M.D.
Confusion Over Women’s Heart Attack Symptoms ---
DEAR DR. ROACH: My question is about symptoms for women’s heart attacks. I have always heard that symptoms for women can be much different from men’s. Instead of the chest-clutching, sharp pain that men can have, I have read that women’s symptoms can be any of these: heartburn or indigestion; pain in the jaw, neck, shoulders, back, one or both arms; fatigue and troubled sleep; dizziness and nausea; or extreme anxiety. Are you KIDDING me? I am a healthy, active 63-year-old woman. I have had all of these symptoms at one time or another. If I acted every time I had one of these symptoms, I would be at the doctor’s office every day. How is one to know which symptoms to take seriously and act on immediately, and which to wait a few days to see if it is temporary? -- J. ANSWER: I have seen many letters similar to yours. The confusing problem is that it’s true: In women, heart attack symptoms and the symptoms of angina before a heart attack can include all of those vague symptoms. The same is true of men as well, although it’s more likely for women than for men to have symptoms other than the classic left-sided chest discomfort (people are much more likely to describe angina as “discomfort” or “pressure” than “pain”). So your question is entirely valid: How do you know when to take common symptoms seriously? The first thing I would say is that the greater your risk for heart disease, the more seriously you should take any symptom. Age, family history of heart disease, high blood pressure and cholesterol, lack of regular physical exercise and diabetes are among the most important risk factors. The second thing I would say is to take new symptoms seriously. If you never get heartburn, for example, then heartburn at age 63 should prompt concern. Third, context matters. Symptoms such as nausea or jaw pain that occur with exercise -- even carrying a bag of groceries or walking up stairs -- is definitely a reason to talk to your doctor. Most women don’t know that heart disease remains their No. 1 killer, far outstripping breast cancer (or any cancer). Both women and men need to take even vague symptoms seriously, especially if the symptoms are new, exertional or if the person has several risk factors. As a primary-care doctor, I’d rather see my patient for her concerns that symptoms may be heart disease than see her in the ICU with a heart attack.
*** DEAR DR. ROACH: I have diverticulosis. At one time I was told not to eat nuts. I have since read that eating nuts is OK. What is your take? Also, are chia seeds safe? -- E.M. ANSWER: There are two answers to this question. The first comes from clinical research, and a very large trial showed that nut and popcorn consumption tended to protect against diverticulitis and diverticular bleeding. This may be due to the high fiber content, recommended in people with diverticula. So most experts allow their patients with diverticulosis to eat nuts and seeds, including chia seeds. The second is practical experience. If someone has had clinical diverticulitis after eating nuts and seeds, especially if it happens repeatedly, it makes sense not to do so.

We Care About
Your Smiles by Dr. Steve Sokolovskiy EARLY CANCER DETECTION An important benefit of regular dental checkups is the potential to save lives by detecting oral cancer early. Each year in the United States about 49,700 new cases of oral cancer are diagnosed, accounting for around 3% of all cancer diagnoses. If cancer has not spread to surrounding tissues, the 5-year survival rates for oral cancer of the lips, tongue, and floor of the mouth range from 75%-93%. These percentages decline if the cancer has spread. Early signs of oral cancer include a white/red patch in the mouth, a sore or ulcer that does not heal or bleeds, tenderness/pain/ lumps anywhere in the mouth or on the lips, and other symptoms that the hygienist and dentist are trained to detect. As part of your healthcare team, BATAVIA FAMILY DENTAL is concerned about all aspects of
your health. If a medical condition comes to our attention during a dental exam, you can be sure we will discuss the issues with you as well as any other healthcare provider if you choose. We bring you our dental column as a way to inform our friends and neighbors here in Batavia of the many benefits of professional dentistry. For gentle dental care for the family, please call us at 585.343.4246, 6 Batavia City Centre. P.S. Factors that increase the risk of developing oral cancer include age (the average diagnosis is at 62 years old); tobacco and alcohol use; sun exposure that burns the lips; and gender (men are more than twice as likely to develop oral cancer as women).

HORSESHOE SOLAR ENERGY LLC Livingston and Monroe Counties, New York NOTICE OF FILING OF PRELIMINARY SCOPING STATEMENT Horseshoe Solar Energy LLC (Applicant or HSS), an affiliate of Invenergy LLC, is proposing to construct a solar photovoltaic electric generating facility subject to Article 10 of the New York Public Service Law (Project). On or about March 5, 2019, the Applicant will file a Public Scoping Statement (PSS), pursuant to 16 NYCRR 1000.5, which is designed to gather input from the public and interested agencies on the scope and methodology of studies to be conducted in support of the Application which will be filed at a later date. The filing of the PSS will start a 21-day public comment period. The PSS will be filed in Siting Board Case 18-F-0633. The Project is a proposed 180 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic electric generation facility with up to 1500 acres of solar panels to be located in the Towns of Caledonia, Livingston County, and Town of Rush, Monroe County, New York. The Project components are proposed to include solar panels and racking, access roads, inverters, buried and overhead electric collection lines, a Project substation, an operation and maintenance (O&M) building, and electrical interconnection facilities. The anticipated life of the project is approximately 35 years. HSS anticipates the interconnection facilities will include a 115-kV switchyard built adjacent to National Grid’s Golah Station, the Project’s Point of Interconnection (POI). The Project substation may be located adjacent to the solar panel area or may be co-located with the switchyard. Further engineering is required to determine this. The location of the POI and tentative T-line route will be added to the publicly available project descriptions when determined, expected to be about July 2019. The Project is proposed to be located on leased private land that is generally rural in nature. Invenergy is exploring various ways to co-locate agricultural uses of the land alongside the solar generation facility, such as harvesting forage for dairy feed and grazing sheep. The Project will result in the generation of electricity from solar photovoltaic technology, a renewable energy source, avoiding harmful emissions and the use of water resources that are typically associated with energy generation. In addition, the Project will assist the State in meeting the goals of the State Energy Plan and Clean Energy Standard, which includes a goal of 50% of electricity consumed in the State being generated by renewable sources by 2030. Other positive impacts to be discussed in the PSS include new employment opportunities, from temporary construction employment and full-time jobs, and increased revenues to County and local municipal tax bases, payments to the local hospitality industry, purchase of local supplies and goods, and lease revenues to participating landowners. The PSS precedes the formal public scoping process and therefore, among other things, will describe and identify: the environmental setting in the Project area, potential environmental and health impacts from construction and operation of the Project, benefits of the Project, proposed studies to be conducted for the Project’s Application, proposed measures to minimize environmental impacts, reasonable alternatives, other required permits/authorizations, and other relevant information. The PSS will also provide a discussion of potentially significant adverse environmental and health impacts to be assessed relating to the construction and operation of the Project, including potential impacts to: land use in the Project Area; public health and safety; terrestrial ecology and wetlands; water resources and aquatic ecology; communications, transportation and utilities; cultural, historical and recreational resources; visual resources; sound; and electromagnetic fields. Within 21 days after filing of the PSS, any person, agency or municipality may submit comments on the PSS by serving such comments on the Applicant and filing a copy with the Secretary of the Department of Public Service (DPS). The Applicant will prepare a summary of the material comments and its reply thereto within 21 days after the closing of the comment period. The scoping process is overseen and mediated by a Hearing Examiner appointed by the DPS and will commence after required notices have been sent and intervenor funding has been disbursed. Notice will be provided when the Hearing Examiner schedules the scoping meeting. No fewer than 90 days after the filing of the PSS, the Applicant will submit an Article 10 Application. Building on the Scoping process and any stipulations agreed to by the parties, the Application will include the studies developed as part of the Scoping process in support of the Project. The Application will include a description of the Project, an evaluation of environmental and health impacts, a summary of public involvement activities, an evaluation of alternatives, a statement of why certain local substantive standards should not be applied, an electric interconnection study including the System Reliability Impact Study, security and emergency plans, a statement demonstrating compliance with the most recent State Energy Plan, and other information. The Application will also contain the information set forth in 16 NYCRR 1001, Exhibits 1-41 unless otherwise waived by the Siting Board. Once an Application is filed and determined by the Siting Board to be complete, the Siting Board will schedule a public hearing on the Application. The Siting Board will also issue a notice of availability of intervenor funds that are available to be used by parties to participate in formal review of the Application. A pre-hearing conference will be scheduled by the Hearing Examiner to identify intervenors, award intervenor funds, identify issues for the hearing, and establish a case schedule. Additional hearings regarding the application and project impact assessments will be scheduled by the Hearing Examiner as needed. After hearings, the stakeholders may brief their positions and the Hearing Examiner will issue a recommended decision upon which the Siting Board will base its decision. Article 10 requires that all proceedings on the Application, including a final decision by the Siting Board must be completed within 12 months of when the Application is determined to be complete. Upon filing of PSS, HSS will provide funding in the amount of $63,000.00 (calculated per PSL 163[4][a]) to be disbursed by the Siting Board to municipalities and other local parties to help pay expenses, including the fees of attorneys and consultants, associated with participating in the Article 10 process during the pre-application review phase. Fifty percent (50%) of these intervenor funds are reserved for municipalities. Additional intervenor funds will be available for the Application/Hearing Phases. Following the filing of a PSS, the Hearing Examiner or the Secretary will issue a notice of availability of pre-application intervenor funds providing a schedule and related information describing how interested members of the public may apply for pre-application funds. Requests for pre-application funds must be submitted to the Hearing Examiner within thirty (30) days after the issuance of the notice of the availability of pre-application intervenor funds. A pre-application meeting to consider funding requests will be convened within no less than 45 but no more than 60 days after the filing of the PSS. Begin Again Horse Rescue Faces Full Stalls By Amanda Dudek perhaps $8,000-10,000 in grants a year, but this has dropped to around $3,000.” Lilly explains that this is due to increasing competition for available grants as well as grant types. Many available grants are not specifically for horse rescue, but rather, they involve a service component, such as working with people with special needs or helping veterans. Therefore, Lilly and her rescue partners are finding ways to expand Begin Again.

J
ennifer Lilly, a founder and Executive Director at Begin Again Horse Rescue in Lima, has a passion for horses and educating others on their care and wellbeing. The nonprofit organization, Begin Again Horse Rescue, takes in horses at risk of neglect, abuse and possible slaughter. Lately, there have been more horses in need than stalls available. Begin Again Horse Rescue formed in 2009 with just Lilly and two other friends, helping horses from bad situations. “We take in horses at risk of neglect, abuse and possible slaughter, work with area humane societies which have no or limited facilities for horses, save them from auctions as well as accept owner surrenders,” said Lilly, current Vice President and Head of Intake. “Then, we rehabilitate them and find them new homes.” At first, Lilly and her two friends were doing this out of their own pockets, but, as Lilly points out, horses are expensive. “We felt that by becoming a 501c3 nonprofit, we could make more impact on the problem.” Lilly stated. “We were gifted a farm on 15A in Lima in 2015, which we have been steadily repairing and renovating.” Still, the need is overwhelming. The rescue farm’s capacity is 14 horses; the rescue currently has 17 and is utilizing foster homes for the overflow. “I am getting 6-8 requests per week,” said Lilly. “We are full, and that doesn’t allow us to address those needs.” This need is growing for a wide variety of reasons. “There are so many owner surrenders: people move, finances change, divorce happens,” Lilly states. “We also work with a number of local humane societies and shelters who have done legal seizures of neglected and abused horses.” Many of these organizations do not have facilities for housing horses. In order for law enforcement to seize a neglected or abused horse, they have to have somewhere to house it; otherwise, they have no choice but to leave the animal. “We want to be there for law enforcement,” said Lilly. “If there is nowhere for these horses to go, then they cannot get the horses into a safe, healthy situation.” Since seizures often involve legal prosecution, these horses tend to have an extended stay. “We have three right now which we accepted in August as part of a neglect case,” said Lilly, explaining that until a decision is reached, these horses cannot be given new homes. Meanwhile, Begin Again cares for these recused horses, several of whom come to them in deteriorating and desperate condition. “We restore them to health, bring them up-to-date with their health care and try to get them adopted,” said Lilly. Begin Again’s adoptions are unique, however. “We do not relinquish ownership of our horses,” explained Lilly. “We put them on permanent lease. This way, if anything happens, our horses will come back to us, ensuring our horses’ safety permanently.” This lifelong relationship also includes yearly checkups on each “leased” horse. Having found new homes for over 200 horses in the last 9 years, this level of commitment does not come cheap “We are 100% funded by donations and fundraisers and the occasional private grant,” said Lilly. “Our yearly operating budget is around $90,000 per year, even though we are completely staffed with volunteers, with the exception of one full-time employee. We used to get
Lilly is no stranger to the positive impact of working with horses, having done charity work bringing horses and people together for over 20 years. “We have most recently worked with the Livingston County Workforce Development Program, SUNY Geneseo, RIT, U of R, and the Livingston County ARC to help people complete volunteer hours, as well as multiple Eagle Scout projects. “We also accept those looking to complete school-based community service and court-ordered community service.” Lilly explains that as a volunteer organization, Begin Again draws from the community, but that they do not currently have enough volunteers to run their own outreach program. “We would like to see more opportunities to benefit groups in our community,” said Lilly, looking to the future. “We go out to events just about every week during good weather with our educational booth and often accompanied by a miniature horse. Our goal is to bring awareness to the neglect taking place with horses.” Lilly explains that one of Begin Again’s long-term goals is to build an education center to hold clinics, educate groups, offer healthcare and more, all free of charge. “We believe education should not come at a cost,” Lilly stated. “We do not ever want a lack of money to stand in the way of good horse care.” “We are also working on being accredited with the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries of which we currently hold a verified status,” said Lilly, explaining that this would improve grant eligibility. This is a highly esteemed standard of excellence for animal refuges worldwide. “One of the requirements is that a property be completely fenced. Our perimeter fencing needs to be upgraded to become stronger and safer. So, this year, we have an ongoing fencing fundraiser with a $7,500 goal. After fencing, we will be very close to accreditation.” Lilly stated that Begin Again holds open volunteer hours every Saturday from 10am-1pm, adding, “Horses are in a more desperate situation than ever before and need help from all of us.” To learn more about Begin Again Horse Rescue and its Tack Shop, visit www.beginagainrescue.org Have something interesting you’d like to share with our readers? ness the manager took care of the problem. I guess if this is a rule, parents need to know about it before they pick up cake.
Don’t forget your child’s birth certificate when you go to pick up the “free smash cake” that a local store gives for a child’s 1st birthday with the purchase of a full size cake! Crazy request that my son was not aware of until he went to get the cake for the birthday party. Thank good-
To all the people who let their cats outdoors, please stop. The reasons are simple: your cat can be hurt or even worse killed by - A. Getting hit by a vehicle. B. Poisoned intentionally or by accident. C. Kidnapped and tortured by some horrible individual or for bait in dog fighting or by people who sell them to schools for experiments. D. Hurt or killed by an animal – wild or domestic like a dog or another cat. There are so many dangers outside your cat simply cannot protect itself.
Gotta appreciate the people who walk on the ‘correct’ side which is facing traffic (for a reason!), carry a flashlight and/ or wear reflective clothing as soon as it’s a little dusky, and when there is no sidewalk, move over safely and actually look at their pet dog on a leash to make sure it is safely out of the road! Thank you. Appreciate walkers who know and apply the rules of the road! Wish the lady who was riding her bike ahead of two children...one with training wheels... at dusk almost in the middle of the road would observe others and learn; watch the safe walkers, dog walkers and bikers who really do share the road... not act like ‘king of the road’!! Don’t be an accident victim.
In December, I gave two different neighbors rides to pick up their cars both at dealerships for recalls. Their experiences could not have been different. The first vehicle was in for an emission update due to recent litigation. The service manager was arrogant and accused the government of needlessly creating the problem. The work was not completed and my neighbor was charged $150.00 for diagnostics and was quoted $2400.00 to fix the vehicle so the recall could be completed. The second vehicle needed a new air bag and was at Hoselton Chevrolet. The service personnel were courteous, and the work was finished two hours ahead of time with no charge.
Brighter Side I had an unexpected trip to Highland Hospital by way of Avon Ambulance Squad on the morning of Tuesday, January 29, 2019. I can’t express how much I appreciate the care I received by this group of young people who took such good care of me. I have never had to use this service before but was very grateful that it was available. I have always made yearly donations to this organization and now I know how important this service is. Thank you to Alex, Nick, Ashley, Kelly- you should be so proud of the job you do! Those donations that we make each year are so important for our community. Thankful Always!
Heartfelt thanks to Elizabeth for rescuing me when I was hurt in the road and taking me to the expert staff at York Animal Hospital. I appreciate Jane and Richard helping to fund my care. Thank you, Liam, for welcoming me home again! Felix, the cat with 8 more lives. On Wednesday, February 6 during the ice storm in Batavia, my husband was trying to get me to our car in the parking lot behind the Williams Law Office. A young woman with an umbrella came out of nowhere and took my other arm, shielded me from the rain and assisted my husband with getting me to the car. She apparently could
see we were having difficulty as I must wear a leg brace and on a good day, it is difficult for me to walk. This definitely was not a good day. We did not get her name as she was gone so quickly. So, we would like to thank her the only way we can think of and hope she reads the Penny Saver. We were very grateful for her help. There are still good people who do good deeds. Thank you to the tow-truck driver who stopped to help a small white dog. It was on February 4th at 10am on Clinton St. Rd. outside of Batavia. He tried to find its owner and ended up keeping the dog in his truck. I hope he found its owner. Good job!!
I would like to thank the young cashier at West’s Shurfine in Honeoye for paying for my groceries when my debit card failed to clear! I had gotten gas and had a large hold on my card (1st time that ever happened). I will pay him back, with extra as soon as I get back down there!

HOW DO WE KNOW LASIK IS SAFE? (NAPSI)—For those thinking about their vision correction options, the question “Is LASIK safe?” is likely top of mind. To answer, ophthalmologist and chair of the Refractive Surgery Clinical Committee for the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, John Vukich, M.D., provides hard data: LASIK has been around for a long time, 20 years, with 19.1 million procedures in the U.S. alone. An enormous amount of research has been conducted: There are more than 7,000 peer-reviewed clinical studies on LASIK performance, safety and outcomes. Based on that science, we know LASIK is very safe and has a less than 1 percent risk of sight-threatening complications. In fact, studies show LASIK is safer than long-term contact lens wear, where the risk of infection is actually pretty high. The patient satisfaction rate with LASIK is more than 96 percent, the highest of any elective medical procedure available today. However, LASIK isn’t for everyone. The only way to know for certain is to have a thorough eye exam with a highly qualified refractive surgeon to find out if you are a good candidate and then decide if it is right for you and your vision.

(NAPS)—Tips for claiming the Saver’s Credit: 1. Check Your Eligibility Depending on your filing status and income level, you may qualify for a nonrefundable credit of up to $1,000 (or $2,000 if filing jointly) on your federal income taxes for that year when you contribute to a 401(k), 403(b), 457(b) or similar retirement plan, or IRA. To be eligible, the maximum Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for single filers is $31,500 in 2018 and $32,000 in 2019. For the head of a household, the AGI maximum is $47,250 in 2018 and $48,000 in 2019. For those who are married and file a joint return, the AGI maximum is $63,000 in 2018 and $64,000 in 2019. You must be 18 years or older by January 1 and cannot be a full-time student or be claimed as a dependent on another person’s tax return. 2. Save for Retirement Save for retirement in your employer’s retirement plan, if offered, or in an IRA. In general, for every dollar you contribute to a qualified retirement plan or IRA (up to the lesser of the limits permitted by an employer-sponsored plan or the IRS), you defer that amount from your current overall taxable income on your federal tax returns—and you may also qualify for the Saver’s Credit. After-tax contributions, such as those made to a Roth IRA or Roth 401(k), are also eligible for the credit. You have until April 15, 2019 to make a contribution to an IRA for tax year 2018. 3. File Your Tax Return and Claim the Credit When you prepare your federal tax returns, you can claim your Saver’s Credit by subtracting this tax credit from your federal income taxes owed. Workers who are eligible to claim the Saver’s Credit are also eligible to take advantage of the IRS Free File program for taxpayers with an AGI of $66,000 or less. Twelve commercial software companies make their tax preparation software available through the Free File program at www.irs.gov/FreeFile. • If you are using tax preparation software, use Form 1040 or Form 1040NR. If your software has an interview process, be sure to answer questions about the Saver’s Credit, also referred to as the Retirement Savings Contributions Credit and/or Credit for Qualified Retirement Savings Contributions. • If you are preparing your tax returns manually, complete Form 8880, the Credit for Qualified Retirement Savings Contributions, to determine your exact credit rate and amount. Then transfer the amount to Schedule 3 (Form 1040) or Form 1040NR. • If you are using a professional tax preparer, be sure to ask about the Saver’s Credit. • Consider having any refund you receive directly deposited to an IRA to further boost your retirement savings. The 19th Annual Transamerica Retirement Survey found that 62 percent of American workers are unaware that the Saver’s Credit exists. Don’t overlook this important tax credit; it may help you pay less in your current federal income taxes while saving for retirement. Spread the word—perhaps friends and family are eligible for this incentive but are unaware of it. For more details and resources on the Saver’s Credit in English and Spanish, visit Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies® at www.transamericacenter.org/saverscredit. TCRS is a division of Transamerica Institute®, a nonprofit, private foundation. The Saver’s Credit—an overlooked tax credit made available by the IRS to eligible taxpayers—could make saving for retirement more affordable than many people realize.

TOP ROOFING TRENDS (NAPSI)—While replacing your roof can be expensive, it may pay to know more about increasingly popular stone-coated metal. There are five good reasons:
HOME HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING
1. Durability: Combining the strength of steel with the design versatility of crushed stone, stone-coated metal roofing offers a better-looking way to protect your investment. Thanks to its engineering, stone-coated metal stands up to harsh conditions, including fire, wind, hail, hurricanes, seismic activity, and extreme cold and heat. 2. Curb Appeal: Stone-coated metal comes in a collection of eye-catching contours and colors. Panels can resemble Mediterranean tile, hand-split wood shake, heavyweight shingle or even old-world Italian tile. 3. Long-Term Value: Stone-coated metal offers greater longevity— three—plus times more—and lower maintenance needs than most other roofing products. “In an average lifetime, a homeowner will need to replace an asphalt roof at least three times as often for the same cost of one stonecoated metal roof,” explained Mark Gallant, Vice President of New Product Development at DECRA Metal Roofing, the original stone-coated steel roofing system, with over 60 years of research and practical experience. 4. Keep It Cool: Metal roofing can help cool your home through air space between the panels and the roof deck, reducing heat transfer. Some roofing colors can also reflect unwanted solar heat. 5. Save Money: A stone-coated metal roof could net you a discount on your homeowners insurance. Check with your insurance agent. Overall, a stone-coated metal roof can help your home look better, feel more comfortable while you live in it and be easier to sell when you want to.

Prayer to Saint Jude Thaddeus Most holy apostle Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Please pray for me for I am so hopeless and alone. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive consolation of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly *mention your petition here* and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever. I promise, O Blessed Saint Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen. MPK

Feather is talking to those of us who never seem to manage to get started toward our goals. We resolve to do better, to accomplish more, to eliminate our bad habits or to help others, but somehow we never actually start. We explain (to ourselves) that we’re waiting for the right conditions to prevail. In truth, the conditions may be exactly right but our excuses are based on labeling current conditions as unsuitable. If we really want to accomplish anything, we must accept conditions as they are, or alter them to better suit our needs. We are well qualified by training and experience to provide comforting help to bereaved families We will provide any information about funerals you may desire. Phone us, please.
