TO YOUR GOOD HEALTH By Keith Roach, M.D.
Insomnia One of Many Prednisone Side Effects --DEAR DR. ROACH: I was prescribed prednisone 5 mg twice daily, but I had insomnia, itching and hot flashes from it. I stopped after four days but am still suffering from sleeplessness. Has the prednisone had a permanent effect on my body? -- J.W.S.L. ANSWER: Prednisone, a powerful anti-inflammatory and immune system-inhibiting steroid, has many side effects on the body, especially insomnia. Hot flashes and itching are uncommon side effects. Insomnia is more common when prednisone is taken twice daily. Anytime a person gets insomnia, it can create a situation where they become worried about sleeping, which can lead to a persistent problem, even though the effect of the prednisone is gone. I recommend some routine steps for treating insomnia, such as avoiding bright lights, including any electronic screen, for two hours or so before bed; regular exercise, if the condition for which you took prednisone allows it; and a warm bath before bed. A mild sleep aid, such as melatonin 1 mg or less, may help reset your system, but daily use is not necessary. *** DEAR DR. ROACH: My wife had a heart attack. They did what they could for her, but she had a 100% blocked artery. They did clean it out, but a week later she had a fatal heart attack. Five or six months earlier, she called me quite often by a former friend’s name. I am wondering if blood was not getting to her brain or if she was starting to get dementia? -- G.M. ANSWER: I am very sorry about your wife. People who have blockages in the heart often have blockages in other blood vessels, such as those in the leg, but also those going to the brain. Poor blood flow to the brain may cause changes to memory and other specific problems. A stroke is very much like a heart attack. Most strokes are caused by poor blood flow to a specific area of the brain, and if it is severe enough, long enough, brain tissue will die, causing loss of function. People who have had multiple strokes are more frequently affected by dementia, called vascular dementia or multi-infarct dementia. I don’t know if this was the case for your wife, but it is certainly plausible. People who notice loved ones having memory lapses should get an evaluation sooner rather than later, as sometimes there are therapies that work better when started earlier. *** DEAR DR. ROACH: Does BPH increase the possibility of prostate cancer? -- A.L. ANSWER: Benign prostatic hypertrophy is a common condition in men. About half of men in their 50s have an enlarged prostate, and the proportion gets even higher as men age. The major symptoms of enlarged prostate are difficulty with urine flow, a sensation of decreased emptying, difficulty initiating urination, and increased frequency of urinating, including at night. As symptoms worsen, incontinence can occur and even kidney damage may result due to the high pressure in the bladder. The first word in “BPH” is “benign”: It is not a cancerous condition. It does not protect against developing cancer, but there does not appear to be an increased risk either, according to the most recent studies. *** Dr. Roach regrets that he is unable to answer individual questions, but will incorporate them in the column whenever possible. NATURAL WAYS TO FIGHT FALL ALLERGIES Increase omega-3 fatty acids. It is well documented that fatty acids are good for brain health and cardiovascular well-being. But these acids also may help with allergies. A German study linked foods high in omega-3 fatty acids with the ability to fight inflammation, which is a hallmark of allergy suffering. Foods that are high in fatty acids include walnuts, flax, eggs, and cold-water fatty fish.

As summer vacation winds down, thoughts turn from jaunts to the beach to readying for a new school year. To-do lists include many of the typical tasks that precede going back to the classroom, including shopping for new clothes, purchasing school supplies and finishing summer reading assignments. Around and around the house the leaves fall thick—but never fast, for they come circling down with a dead lightness that is sombre and slow. Let the gardener sweep and sweep the turf as he will, and press the leaves into full barrows, and wheel them off, still they lie ankle-deep.

PAW’S CORNER: I live in an area where eastern equine encephalitis and West Nile Virus are active. On my walks, I make sure to wear plenty of bug spray to prevent being bitten by a mosquito infected with either disease. Are my dogs at risk of catching it? Can I use bug spray on their fur? -- Shellie in Worcester, Massachusetts DEAR SHELLIE: While dogs (and cats) are at risk of catching either disease, most pets recover fully, especially with veterinary treatment (which is mainly supportive, to keep them strong while their bodies fight the infection). Humans can get seriously ill from either EEE or West Nile Virus, so I’m glad you’re using plenty of bug repellent. Mosquitoes are very active just before sunset, when most of us prefer to take our pets for walks during the hot summer months. However, pets do not tolerate bug spray made for humans very well. (Citronella candles also can be very irritating.) They still should have some protection from mosquitoes, as these flying pests also carry diseases that can be very harmful to pets, like heartworm. Pet-friendly repellents are available at the pet store or through your vet’s office. You can try natural repellents like lemon juice (try mixing it half-and-half with water in a spray bottle and applying to your dogs’ coat just before walking), crushed peppermint leaves, or rosemary. Keep up with your pets’ heartworm medication and check them for ticks and fleas after each walk, too. This will reduce their risk of getting a serious illness from an outdoor pest. Al Fresco Dining Eyes Upcoming Wintery Weather BY AMANDA DUDEK
R
estaurants across Upstate New York, and in fact the nation, have been hit hard by COVID-19 shutdowns. Now, as many fine dining establishments have finally been able to reopen their doors to a mere 25-50% of their capacity, restaurateurs are facing a worrying nip in the air. From the Downtown areas of Greater Rochester to our historic small-town Main Streets, solutions are being sought for the upcoming fall and winter holidays, important seasons which could spell the difference between success and closed doors. Local restaurant owner Jay Speranza of Tony D’s in Rochester is, in fact, “very much” concerned about the upcoming colder weather. “I am open to any ideas to try to increase capacity,” he said. Others like Steve Foster and Tim Adams of the Red Osier Landmark Restaurant in Stafford are blessed with the space to host their patrons inside while remaining socially distanced and safe. Yet even restaurant owners who are not particularly concerned, like Richard Mogab of Texas Bar-B-Q Joint (Greece, Rochester, Spencerport) said that while he does not currently have cold weather outdoor dining plans in place, he would be interested in learning more about them. Possible cold weather answers are filtering in from all over, including Chicago. The Windy City, keenly aware of its impending inclement weather, has launched a Winter Dining Challenge in partnership with the Illinois Restaurant Association, BMO Harris Bank, and design company IDEO. Chicagoans have been asked to submit their best solutions for safe, cold weather dining as they vie for prizes of up to $5,000. The results have been both remarkable and inspiring. One answer to the cold weather quandary is to construct additional spaces outdoors. Possibilities for what this might look like range from luxury domes geodesic structures resembling glass igloos to “smart glass” boxes which allow users to control the temperature via the amount of light coming through to cubic pods. Square or rectangular outdoor pods, raised and heated, can be combined to accommodate varying party numbers. These typically come in kits and can also be very adaptable to limited square footage such as a particular option designed for restaurant parking areas. Two such units can fit in each parking space! Offering easy set up and often more privacy, tents, yurts, tee-pees, and cubes of fabric are also viable options. Heat, of course, depends on structure. Perforated fabric walls can be combined with forced air wall partitions which essentially push heated air down, preventing the flow of air in from outside the space. To solve heat issues without forced air, one Chicagoan suggested drawing in exhaust from existing kitchen equipment. Tents and yurts also provide shelter from the elements. Yurts, most associated with traditional Mongolian round tents, covered with a thick, weather-resistant material supported by rafters and a lattice structure which culminate at a central roof ring. Similarly, teepees made of similar materials and supported poles can be minimally heated to provide nearly instantaneous outdoor dining.

In the face of a particularly frigid winter season, ice bars, a tradition most associated with colder European climes, presents flexible and fun possibilities. These drinking and even dining spaces carved from ice are unexpectedly cozy since the ice functions as an insulator. Attractive, novel and all but guaranteed to draw a crowd, ice eateries can be structured to suit, perhaps even into ice pods. Rather than creating new outdoor spaces, some suggest the necessary structures are already available, advocating for a more “mobile” approach. Eying underutilized city buses, these innovators recommend converting them along with train cars into pop up dining spaces. These mobile mini restaurants would pick up additional diners and park in front of restaurants from which passengers can then order. Buses and train cars which are no longer functional can be remodeled to serve as extensions of existing restaurants. Some innovations recommend embracing the great outdoors, even when temperatures drop. In keeping with the festive feel of the season, select downtown areas and local Main Streets could close to traffic and transform into bustling holiday wonderlands. Food trucks and vendors could be brought in. Patios and other outdoor dining areas could be warmed with heat lamps and air curtains. “S” shaped dividers with fire pits could be arranged down the center of the street for increased warmth and seating. Heating could also be centered at the seating itself. Hot stone bowls and plates would add to the ambiance while combating the cold. Chairs with heated cushions and reusable chemical heat pads could be set around tables with small fire pits in their centers, providing additional light for diners while enjoy increased warmth. Patrons could also be warmed bottom to top with Japanese Kotatsu. These heated tables consist of a platform over which a thick blanket or futon has been placed. On its center above rests a tabletop, while an electric heater underneath the frame keeps seated guests nice and toasty. A chill in the air is inevitable, and the cooler weather brings with it opportunities for innovation, creativity and novelty, a sure recipe for success. After months of shutdowns and restrictions, families across the Greater Rochester Area are eager for the chance to get out and enjoy their communities once again. Creating novel and safe environments thanks to continued outdoor dining can give families the experience they crave while providing local restaurants with the revenue they seriously need.

Properly m aint ained headlight s vast ly im prove driver saf et y Don’t just replace but upgrade your headlight bulbs. Bulbs that have started to dim need to be repla ced, but auto enthusiasts or maintenance-savvy drivers know they can upgrade their bulbs w hen replacing them. Indu stry experts recommend replacing headlamp bulbs every tw o years, and replacing them in pairs to make sure the vehicle’s lighting is equally balanced. But rather than sticking w ith the bulbs provided by the car maker, look for a bulb that makes it easier to see at night and during hazardous conditions. These headlights put more light on the road, helping to make up for poor w eather, dimly lit roads, aging headlights, and even the loss of n ight vision many drivers experience as they age. Capable of providing up to 100 percent more light than the stan dard halogen bulbs found on the majority of vehicles today, special headlights create a better beam patte rn that is dramatically longer than the standard bulbs, vastly improving driver vision and safety.

Resale value may not be foremost on the minds of new car ow ners, but the earlier buyers begin to factor resale value into their carcare routines, the more they w ill benefit dow n the road.
CONSERVE FUEL DURING YOUR DAILY COMMUTE Keep tires properly inflated. Properly inflated tires reduce drag on the engine. Engine drag makes the vehicle work hard to move, and that wastes fuel. But the type of tires a vehicle has also can affect how efficiently it uses fuel. According to the Transportation Research Board, tires that reduce rolling resistance by 10 percent can improve gas mileage by as much as 2 percent. While that figure might seem insignificant, that 2 percent savings can add up to a substantial amount of money for commuters who spend 50 minutes every day getting to and from work.

PICKUP TRUCKS REMAIN POPULAR Pickup trucks have long been among the most popular vehicles sold, and Statistica states the number of new pickup trucks sold in the United States continues to grow. Between 2015 and 2016, 2.7 million pickups were sold, and some 2.24 million of those were full-sized pickups. A recent study from the Automotive News Data Center found the big three pickup manufacturers, which include Ford, GM and Dodge, sell an average of 6,500 trucks every day in North America. While the popularity of pickup trucks may be evident to today’s motorists, just who is behind the wheels of those trucks may come as a surprise. According to a recent study from MaritzCX, covering the 2016 model year, more people from affluent families are opting for pickup trucks than economy cars. Other factors also may be contributing to the popularity of pickup trucks. A survey from Insure.com asked 2,000 licensed drivers ages 18 and up to rank the kinds of vehicles driven by the most attractive members of the opposite sex. The survey found that women prefer drivers of black pickups. Motorists who have never before driven pickup trucks but are mulling whether or not to join the truck-loving masses can consider a host of factors as they begin looking for trucks. Size: Pickups are larger than many other vehicles and tend to be heavier. As a result, when driving a pickup, leave more space for braking and do not tailgate. Blind spots: Because pickup trucks are longer than cars, they may have larger blind spots. Drivers should adjust the mirrors to diminish as much of their blind spots as possible. Also, give ample notice when changing lanes or making turns. Reverse: Upon purchasing a pickup, first-time truck owners may benefit from practicing driving in reverse so they can grow accustomed to doing so in a truck. Hauling gear: Be sure to properly restrain items that are hauled in the pickup truck bed, or invest in a bed cover so nothing is lost and safety is not compromised. Inclement weather driving: Pickup trucks have very little weight in the back when their beds are empty. This can cause trucks to fishtail on wet or snowy roads. Alleviate this by placing some sandbags in truck beds before driving in poor weather.

STRANGE BUT TRUE By Lucie Winborne * In March 2019, the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans celebrated its 125th anniversary by offering a free seven-night stay in the presidential suite, along with complimentary private dinners and spa treatments worth $15,000. But this wasn’t your everyday giveaway -- the prize was only available to the person who returned the “most outrageous” item ever stolen from the hotel!
NOW HERE'S A TIP By JoAnn Derson * “In my shop, I have stored small bits of hardware in baby-food jars. They were all on a shelf together, and when I needed one, I would have to move bottles around until I found the right one. I took a piece of 1-by-4 and cut it into 2-foot sections. Then I glued the bottoms of the bottles in a row to the wood. Now, they still sit on the shelf, but all I have to do is slide the 1-by-4s out and find the right jar. I can still see in the sides, and it makes them so much easier to deal with.” -- J.N in Missouri * “My child has so many toys that they were starting to take over his room and our house. We got three big plastic storage tubs and distributed the toys among them. Now the rule is that only one tub can be open at a time, so if he wants to play with other toys, he must pick up all the toys from the tub he is playing with first. It has made such a difference since the house gets picked up at least once a day.” -- C.I. in Tennessee * Here’s a boating safety tip: Make sure you check the weather before you head out for a day on the water. And everyone needs a life vest, large or small! * “Lots of people are selling things online now to make a few bucks, and that’s cool. I know I have things I’ve picked up that I don’t use. Why not make a little money? Here’s a tip though: Do a little research on price for your item. You want to avoid listing it for too much (no interest) or too little (yes, it gets snapped up quickly, but you could have gotten more for it). A little homework goes a long way.” -- C.A. in Florida * No red wine for your recipe? You can substitute an equal amount of grape juice or beef broth in most recipes. GENESEE VALLEY PENNY SAVER

Reduced speeds will typically be in the range of 1 – 3 Mbps and may cause Web sites to load more slowly or affect the performance of certain activities, such as video streaming or large downloads/uploads.
1. In a large paella pan, sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil over medium heat. Add the tomatoes and bay leaves, and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the squid, cuttlefish, lobster, and a pinch of salt, and cook, stirring, for a minute or so more. 2. In a saucepan, bring the chicken stock and wine to a boil. As it boils, add the rice to the fish mixture in the paella pan and blend thoroughly. Ladle three-fourths of the boiling stock over the rice and bring to a boil. Season the rice with more salt to taste. Reduce the heat to low and mix well, distributing rice evenly in the paella pan. Continue to cook the rice for 18 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. While the rice is cooking, heat about 1 inch of water and a drizzle of olive oil in a separate sauté pan, then add the mussels. Steam until the mussels open, then transfer to the paella pan with a slotted spoon. Steam and transfer the clams in the same way. Take 1 cup of the clam water and whisk together with the saffron in a small bowl. Add to the paella pan, and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes more. Serve the paella directly from the paella pan.

SENIOR NEWS LINE By Matilda Charles Rising Food Costs Prices on so many necessary items have gone up over the past six months. Most worrisome is food. Of all the grocery store price increases, beef and veal went up the most. But they've all gone up: bread, seafood, cereal, vegetables. Fresh fruit, on the other hand, reportedly went down (although not at my store), as did milk (again, not at my store, which saw a ridiculous increase). It likely won't get better for the rest of the year. What hasn't gone up is our income. In fact, for those seniors who had part-time jobs to supplement Social Security, incomes have gone down because of the loss of those jobs. Yes, many of us got that $1,200 stimulus check ... how many months ago? For so many of us, the time has come to admit that we need help. It's not easy, but it's really not giving up any independence. There are many organizations and groups out there giving away food. Have you seen the lines of cars waiting for food pickups? The trunks of those vehicles get loaded with bags and boxes of food, gallons of milk, sacks of potatoes, frozen meat and fresh bakery goods. Other groups focus on seniors and deliver individual boxes of food to the door. Don't jeopardize your health because of lack of food. Pick up the phone, make calls. Find out where the free or low-cost food is in your area. Call the senior center, all the churches, the food pantry and your state's National Council on Aging (www.ncoa.org). Get on the internet and look for seniors dining sites and Meals on Wheels, senior food boxes, Commodity Supplemental Food Program and "free food for seniors in (your state)." This pandemic might last for a very long time. Get your food support system in place. It's one less thing to worry about.

OTHER CONSERVE WATER WHEN TEMPERATURES RISE Spring and summer are synonymous with increased hours of sunlight, warm temperatures and, oftentimes, an increased reliance on water to feed recreational pursuits and lawn and garden needs. The Water Information Program states that 3.9 trillion gallons of water are consumed in the United States each month and the average person uses 176 gallons of water per day. Water conservation may be essential when the risk for weather-related drought looms. Practicing year-round conservation efforts can help ensure smart usage of local watersheds, lakes and reservoirs and help maintain these water sources for years to come. It also helps the average person reduce his or her carbon footprint while saving people a little money along the way.

BOLD COLORS ADD VITALITY TO HOMES Analogous colors are three colors that sit side-by-side on the color wheel and share a common denominator in terms of shade. Lavender, blue and an orchid pink are examples of such hues. This cool, regal combination can add femininity to a bedroom or even drama to another space in the house. If painting the walls dark blue or lavender seems scary, opt for a neutral shade on walls and then dress up the space with inky and violet accents.

Here’s what’s happening at your local library… Henrietta Public Library: Beliefs that Limit Potential Wednesday, September 16 | 7-8 pm Are you feeling stuck or as though you are experiencing a lack of purpose in some areas of your life? Many individuals allow beliefs they’ve developed throughout their lives to limit them from experiencing a life full of joy and peace. When individuals remove the expectations of others and reconnect to their truest self, not only do they encounter a more inspirational life, but others are motivated to do the same. In this 60-minute workshop, limiting beliefs will be explored to understand how they hinder overall potential. Techniques will be introduced to help participants align to their intuition and everyone will be guided to choose an area of their life that they are interested in making change. Beliefs that Limit Potential will meet online using Zoom. For more info and to register, please visit https://hpl. libcal.com/event/6856302

FOOD ALLERGY FAST FACTS Food allergies can develop from birth, and some last a lifetime. Others are developed at different ages and may be outgrown. No matter when allergies stop or start, they can be a life-threatening problem for children. Although food allergies may be managed more easily at home, they present different challenges for school-aged children. School nurses and administrative officials should be informed about food allergies, especially if they are severe enough to warrant medical intervention, such as medication. Food allergies are quite common. Consider these allergy facts that can help parents better understand any issues their children might face. • The Food Allergy Research and Education network says nearly 15 million people in the United States, many of whom are children, are affected by food allergies. • One in 13 Canadians, or roughly 2.5 million people, are affected by a food allergy, according to estimates from the Allergy, Genes and Environmental Network. • Around 7 percent of Canadian children under the age of 18 report having at least one food allergy. • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says children with food allergies are two to four times more likely to have other related conditions, such as asthma and other allergies. • Food allergies are an immune system response to the food, not a case of digestive intolerance. • Among food allergic children, peanuts are the most prevalent allergen, followed by milk and shellfish, says the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. • Food allergies can cause everything from mild reactions, such as itchiness or hives, to anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially deadly reaction. • Risk of food allergies increases when there is a parent who suffers from any type of allergic disease - even those beyond food allergies. • A recent study conducted by researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine found that children are taking longer to outgrow milk and egg allergies. • Food avoidance remains the best way to prevent symptoms of food allergies. That is why reading product labels is vital. GENESEE VALLEY PENNY SAVER

by Samantha Clayton, certified personal trainer (NAPSI) — For many people, social distancing brings concern about summer plans. In previous years, summertime was when families planned their vacations. The kids would be out of school, the weather could be fantastic, and the days are longer— allowing optimal time to venture to new places, catch some sun and spend more time with friends and families. Since you may have already been spending a lot more time with your family then you ever imagined due to coronavirus outbreak, you may be looking for ways to keep your family entertained. Between possibly working from home, managing your kids’ schoolwork and maintaining a functioning household, this time probably hasn’t felt much like a vacation. Social distancing guidelines are likely to remain in effect in many places during the summer. Activities and entertainment options, lodging, and dining will be affected. The good news is, you really don’t have to totally give up on enjoying the summer at home with your family. Here are some tips to make your staycation exciting for the whole family: Fit Focused Days Plan hiking trips or long walks or bike rides close to home. Enjoy nearby parks and take time to look over the architecture in your neighborhood. A quick Google search of interesting facts can help you to plan what you want to go to see. Being a tourist in your own community will help you have a greater appreciation for the place. Challenge your kids to identify certain plants, landmarks or wildlife when you’re out walking. It will make the walks more engaging. Having prizes helps with motivation, too. Additionally, backyard games can be a blast—sprinklers, hula hoops and jump rope are things kids love. Embrace The Farmers Markets A trip to a farmers market is not just a treat, it’s a great way to shop locally. Many of them have adopted social distancing guidelines, so they can be safe for family outings. These markets usually have beautiful fresh and seasonal options to explore, and perhaps find some fascinating new fruits and vegetables. Also, getting the kids involved in selecting ingredients for your meals may help spark their interest in healthier eating. Breaking your usual grocery shopping routine by browsing the stalls in beautiful weather can help spark a vacation vibe. Create Your Own At-Home Retreats With a little planning, you can make your own backyard or home feel like an enchanting vacation spot. For a spa weekend, buy or make your favorite products, and set up time to relax and treat yourself. Turn off all your tech distractions, set up a space outside or in a quiet room. You can even make spa water by cutting up some cucumber or fruit to flavor the water. Consider creating your own yoga retreat. Turn to your favorite online trainer, set up your mat in a designated space, light some candles or incense, and be sure to practice daily, with relaxing music. It’s all about being creative. Travel With Your Cooking With travel on the back burner, consider themed cooking nights to help transport your taste buds to any destination. It can be really fun to make drinks, shakes and meals with ingredients from places that are on your future travel list. Enjoy a nice Italian spritzer with your pasta one night, try cooking a beautiful curry meal or ordering take-out from a restaurant you’ve never tried before. Take it a step further and print out some fun-facts you can find online or rent a movie about the particular culture you’ll be indulging in that night; it’s a great opportunity for your family to learn about other cultures through food. Finally, take time to plan out your staycation in the same way you would with a travel vacation. Having an itinerary of what you want to do helps to prevent the lazy, do-nothing blues from taking over. A vacation is about rest, relaxation, discovery and recreation—all of those things can be accomplished right where you are. Studies have shown a positive correlation between taking vacation time and an overall feeling of well-being, so no matter what’s on your itinerary, make sure to thoroughly enjoy yourself. Ms. Clayton is the vice president, Sports Performance and Fitness, Herbalife Nutrition. She’s also the mother of four and lives in Los Angeles with her family. SOUND CONTROL KEY TO A CALM, RELAXING HOME Inside and out, life can be loud. Retreat from the hustle and bustle of the world by making your home, or specific rooms within it, a calm, relaxing sanctuary. There’s a room in every house that could benefit from greater sound control, whether it’s a home theater, music room, studio, home office, children’s play room, bathroom, mechanical, or laundry room. Insulating properly will allow you to really enjoy your home that much more and achieve a higher level of comfort. Experts suggest selecting a dense insulation with a non-directional fiber structure to combat airborne noise such as music, speech and foot traffic. This insulation material creates an excellent sound barrier that effectively absorbs noise and reduces the transfer of sound waves from one room to another. Its resistance to fire is an added benefit that also adds passive fire protection to your home, a type of fire precaution that is part of the core of the building and will help control fire by limiting its spread. Certain sound dampening measures, such as carpeting, might also help alleviate echo and reverberation, as will acoustic panels that prevent sound reflections throughout a room. With basic DIY skills, you can simply and affordably construct your own acoustic panels using a stone wool rigid board which is effective at reducing the intensity and propagation of noise.

THANK YOU, DOUG! While driving down Latta Road, in Greece, last Wednesday afternoon, I drove over a muffler in the roadway. It was wedged under my car. I immediately pulled over in the median. Very soon after, a loader type vehicle was coming along. I gestured to the driver, Doug, a Town of Greece employee. He stopped to help. After jacking the car up slightly, he was able to pull the muffler out. Thank you so much ONE LAST CHANCE The July 20/27th (double issue) of Time Magazine had numerous features on just how dire our planet’s environment is, at this point in its life. The writing was exceptional as many topics were covered. Certainly, the COVID 19 is at the top of our list in terms of catastrophes, but the heartbeat of our earth is racing toward life support and is a dangerously close second to the COVID. Do yourself a favor and find this important issue and take the time to come up to speed on what we need to do to save our planet! One redeeming aspect of this terrible pandemic is that it has made us stop (pause), access and alter our lifestyles for the greater good. We so desperately need to do the same for Mother Earth!
