Hamlin Public Library, Monroe County Library System: The Hamlin Public Library is open for browsing and borrowing of materials Monday and Wednesday from 10am6pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-8pm; Friday from 10am-4pm; Saturdays from 10am-2pm. The Library is closed July 3-5. Curbside p i c k u p i s s t i l l a v a i l a b l e b y appointment. Sign-ups for our Summer Reading Programs are open. Registration is required for all programs. All ages may record reading minutes/ books, enter to win weekly prizes and sign up for weekly take-and-make crafts. Preschool storytimes are OUTSIDE on Mondays at 10:30. Bring a blanket to maintain social distancing. The MCSO Mounted Unit will be at the library on Thursday, July 8 at 10:30 for our first summer program. Free Airplane Rides: Launched in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated more than 25 years to giving youth ages 817 their first free ride in an airplane. It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. Today, more than 2 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles program. St. Luke’s Annual Book Sale Returns July 8-10! St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Brockport, will hold its popular annual Book Sale in conjunction with the village’s Sidewalk Sale, August 8-10. This year’s sale hours are Thursday and Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-noon. The Bag Sale, in which you can stuff as many books in a bag as possible for one price, is Saturday at 11am. St. Luke’s commitment to the sale shows in the careful sorting and organizing of thousands of books, which makes for easy browsing.
