Dedicated to Serving the Webster Community
When the Webster Chamber of Commerce started in 1931, who would have ever imagined that Webster would look like it does today – or that we would have this many businesses serving our community!
The Webster Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization that is the voice of business in the Webster community. We are a non-governmental organization comprised primarily of business members but include not-for-profit and civic organizations. Membership comes from the Webster economic footprint and is comprised of Fortune 500 corporations, generationsold family businesses, service companies, retail (large and small) and sole proprietors of every type. The Chamber provides support, opportunities and education to its members, fostering collaboration among business, community and government to promote Webster’s economic vitality and quality of life. The Webster Chamber is the voice and catalyst of business. Working together, we deliver a strong community of choice.
In the last nearly 90 years, the Webster Chamber has been instrumental in changes that have enhanced Webster as a community “Where Life is Worth Living.” The Chamber solicited the Haloid Corporation (now
Xerox) to come build here in Webster. The first branch bank in New York State was the result of petitioning the NYS legislature to chance banking laws to allow bank branches to exist. The Village Business Improvement District and the Webster Economic Development Alliance were products of the Chamber’s vision report “A Case for Business.” Advocating for a strong school district, planned housing, a balanced tax base, cooperation between governments and promoting sensible economic development have been an ongoing focus of the Webster Chamber.
The Chamber is a decades-old resource for health insurance for members and individuals (you do not need to be a member of the Chamber to get health insurance), provided by regional carriers such as Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield and MVP

There is no cost to use the Chamber for insurance enrollment and any individual (including those Medicare eligible) or small business can get health and dental insurance – you don’t even need to live in Webster to use this free service.
