Hot Topics in Society Peer Pressure Peer pressure can be a good thing, like how our kids look up to positive role models. It can also be a bad thing, like when someone wants to quit drinking but their friends pressure them into drinking.

Respect
Many of our community members have depression from things like residential school, abuse, gossip, low self-esteem etc. Depression is also a health issue.
Respect is something that has always been very important to our people, especially respect for our elders.
