I will be away from May 30-June 3 I will be back to work on June 6th Stubs are always due the Friday before SA day if you do not have it in by then you aren’t guaranteed to receive your cheque the following Wednesday. Cheques will be issued the following day where it isn’t so busy. BC Hydro is only paid according to what you are eligible for in your shelter portion, I cannot go above that, I understand that some bills get higher during the winter months and at the end of each year there is a security deposit added, I do work with BC Hydro to help get your bills back down and do set up payment plans. I apologize to those who have had their hydro cut off, there was either a miscommunication with BC Hydro or there isn’t any other payment other than ours that you were supposed to commit to. I need your Hydro bill in as soon as you get it, I cannot pay your hydro without a bill, lately I have only been getting disconnection notices, and I can only pay Hydro at the end of each month. We cannot pay Hydro bills if you aren’t on my program absolutely no exceptions! Reminder about appointments, I cannot accept walk in’s as most of the time I’m in the middle of something that I can’t walk away from. know what it is that you need to see me about. I have been informed that in the next couple months that every Social Assistance Recipient needs to have a valid ID with a Tsulquate reserve address on it if you do not get one you will not be eligible until you get one please come in to see if you do not have any id at all (make an appointment with Bern). Social Development has purchased a couple boat trips to our homelands, we will decide in the near future of how we will go about it in terms of how we will pick who goes, it will only be for our social development Clients/workers. It has been already suggested that we use one or more of the trips for those of you who have been very do diligent in getting stubs in on time who have been very positive who has been supportive and helpful to others we want to acknowledge you in some way. We will determine in the near future of how we will determine whether we will do a random draw or signup sheet, if you have any suggestions please bring it forward.
