Yo Wiksas? This summer has flown by. We are at the end of it. The Elder’s Program has been very quiet this month due to my being away and compassionate office closures. We started back up this past week again. I was in last Friday afternoon to catch up with some business that needed to be taken care of. The Elder’s Council met on Tuesday, August 22. There was an Elder’s Luncheon on Wednesday Aug. 23. We had a catering job on Thursday, August 24. I have been contacted by the Fort Rupert Elder’s Worker and we will schedule the next Tri-Band Elder’s Luncheon for September. I will keep you all posted once the date has been set after all 3 of us Elder’s Workers get together and meet. We will be working on some fish next Monday & Tuesday for the Program. We will have a bunch of youth here to learn how to do fish and help. So if any of you Elders would like to teach our young ones how to do fish, please come on down to the pavilion Monday morning. We will be jarring most and BBQ’ing some as well. We will resume back to regular schedule for the Program. Lunch next week will be weather permitting. Stay tuned for a notice next Tuesday. Short & sweet one today. Enjoy your day Gilakasla,
