Telisha Smithworked at an Early Learning Center teaching preschoolers and toddlers their numbers, colors and fine motor skills. She took care of her grandmother when she was ill which sparked her interest in healthcare. Mrs. Smith later studied Nursing, EKG, and Phlebotomy and worked many years in healthcare facilities and private home care. She currently studies Psychology and Christian Counseling, is an author, mentor, a spiritual mother to many, a motivational speaker and works In ministry with her husband, Pastor Larry Smith Sr. at Alpha and Omega Church In Detroit, MI. She has two sons, Larry Smith ll and Terrence Smith who are ministers and musicians, one daughter in love Robyn and one granddaughter LaNiyah. The special relationship Mrs. Smith had with her grandparents and the relationship she has with her granddaughter inspired her to write a series of children’s books. Her desire is to inspire the young grandmothers we have today to spend quality time with their grandchildren teaching them some of the things her grandmother taught her, while yet having fun.

LaNiyah Smithis the Co Author who loves spending quality time with her family. Some of her hobbies are gymnastics, skating, dancing and assisting with choreographing dance moves for the youth dance ministry at church. LaNiyah is also an exceptional student who enjoys reading, math, exploring nature and doing science projects at home.

“God Really Does Hear Me” is a book about a little girl named Angel who shares with her grandmother how nervous she is about going to first grade. Angel is afraid she won’t have any friends after her best friend moves away. Her grandmother encourages her to pray. After Angel says a prayer, she Gets a big surprise.
