Also, what is the topic you will be speaking on Shawn Fair has proven to be an amazing Leader and he pushes you to be the best. I am an alumni of L.E.T and the experience, education, and friendships are priceless. My topic will be about Leaders respecting their employees and bringing humanity back to Leadership.

As a certified Life Coach, what advice would you give to someone who has suffered trauma from abuse? Most of the time no one knows about the assault but you and the abuser. The shame, consistently reliving the act in your mind in silence is the worst feeling. First of all, it was not your fault. You did not do anything wrong. If you can’t talk about it write it down. I had to watch my thoughts, and the conversations I had with myself. Do not allow yourself to participate in negative thoughts; be intentional about it every day. It is important to your healing.

Ms. Crawford, you are a Bestselling Author of several non-fiction books. Tell the readers about your book, “Silent Screams” and the reason you wrote it? Silent Screams is my heart book. The core of each story is a hard truth of things that I experienced in my life. Prayerfully it will help someone see themselves in one of the stories and know that they are not alone. This book covers rape, betrayal, alcoholism, loneliness, joy, overcoming, understanding, and forgiveness. I pray that the reader will release a sigh of relief after reading how they can overcome life’s hardships.

I found the title of your book, “The Master Relationship Builder” to be interesting since it deals with employees in the workplace. How can your book help employees build better relationships in the workplace? This book was written for leaders to understand that they lack relationship-building in the workplace. It is up to the leaders to create a solid culture in the workplace and honor the housekeep just as much as they honor the director of sales. This book was based on actual things that happened over my career that I deemed unfair to employees. I offered some tips on how leaders can be relationship builders with simple intentional daily activities.

Give us some words to educate, inspire, and encourage women, and the readers of Growth Women’s Business Networks Magazine. As women, we must honor ourselves for the things that we have W. O. N (WOMEN OVERCOME NATURALLY) Why because we were designed to do so. Yes, we get tired, but we rest and keep going, Yes, we do not want to go through another hard thing, but we go through it to pull up others. We grow through the hard things and develop a program or talk so someone else can leap over and recognize the test when it arrives.

You are an amazing soul and there is nothing that you can’t do if you put your mind and action to it. Write it down, make a plan and take action. Be gentle with yourself and keep going. I BELIEVE IN YOU!

2023 IS THE YEAR TO BE F R E E

As we close out 2022, it's time to plan what you're taking into 2023 and what you're leaving behind. This time last year, I became extremely sick - it’s the best thing that ever happened to me. It helped me to see life through a different lens. It would be best if you didn't go through anything like what I went through, but I want you to look at your life through a different lens; the lens of faith, positivity, and power. Let's walk through this together.

As we recover from the pandemic of 2020, take time to reflect on all the good things that happened to you and for you. What can you improve on, and what can you change? What habits or actions do you know are not serving you well? Take a few moments to visualize where you want to be next year. Once you do that, write a letter to yourself describing where you will be in one year - be positive and write in the present. Then start with the end in mind and develop a plan of specific small steps you can take to get there.

Willingness-Recognize-Ignite-Tenacity-Enough-WRITE it and make it plain.

I was fighting for my life around Christmas last year, which was a tough time. I had to willingly make a lifetime commitment to my health to be the best version of myself. I inspire you to have the WILLINGNESS to be the change you want to see in life. Having that willingness will change your life to be the best version of yourself.

You must RECOGNIZE the God-given gifts that will put you in rooms only God can qualify you for in life. Once I recognized my gifts, I started to fulfill my God-given purpose as God was opening doors for me that no man can shut. God can and will do the same for you.

IGNITE the fire within your soul to FLY-First Love Yourself. Learning to FLY after overcoming many challenges in life was the best decision I ever made.

If you can have anything to make it through, it would be TENACITY. I had to have the tenacity for life to handle all that life handed me with grace.

You must know your worthiness and believe that you are more than ENOUGH. Throughout my journey, I've learned the importance of being good enough for myself.

As the year ends, WRITE out what you're taking into 2023 and reflect on the pain that led you to your purpose, the mistakes that gave you lessons, and the heartaches that gave you the heart of a warrior to FLY-First Love Yourself. I empower you to be inspired by the person in the mirror who has been through a lot in life and is still beautifully standing-that person is YOU. Envision the possibility of being FREE to live your best life in 2023. I AM FREE to be AUTHENTICALLY ME whom God created me to be.

Author/Entrepreneur/ Women In Ministry Spotlight

Please introduce and tell the readers about yourself. Before I introduce myself, I want to express my gratitude for this amazing opportunity to be featured in this global magazine. As a woman in her thirties who loves to cook, create memories, maintain a mindset of a lifelong learner, and travel, my life has several layers that many may not know. I’m a proud South Carolina native, and my southern roots played a vital role in cultivating my passions. I love gardening, enjoying a good book, and spending time with family and friends. Although I grew up in a middle-class family, my parents instilled in me to dream big. Their encouragement and support helped me to create a mindset to excel. Who I am today, is greatly attributed to my parents. If I had to summarize my life’s journey, I would opt for the word detours as an adequate description of my experience. I wasn’t quite clear about my future vocation, and after dabbling in various potential interests, I opted for a career in higher education. Even my business, was something that wasn’t part of my plan, but apparently essential for my purpose. My faith and reliance on God, has always been my compass, so I know that all of the detours that I took were ultimately part of His divine plan.

You are Founder of “For the Kingdom Sake LLC.” Tell us about your business. My business, For the Kingdom’s Sake LLC, was launched in 2021 after years of growth and development with God. The purpose of the business is to share the simplicities of the Word of God with women through devotionals and Christian development books. What I learned from my personal journey with God is that understanding Him is key. In all of the aspects of my ministry, I’m able to focus on helping others to understand the nature of God and how to walk in His ways.

Although the core component of my business is my first self-published devotional book, all of my other aspects focus on strengthening the body of Christ. The content that I share on my website and on my social media handles are just glimpses of my time with the Lord. Since the business’ inception, I’ve expanded my reach by publishing bi-weekly devotionals to my subscribers, weekly motivational videos, and prayer focuses.

Ms. Norris, you are a Christian author of a women’s devotional book. What inspired you to write a women’s devotional book? The book is actually part of my 10-year journey to become a published author. For years, I would send weekly devotional e-mails to my friends and family. I simply wanted to share what was transforming my life because I knew that God could do the same for others. So many of those in my inner circle encouraged me to write a book. Ultimately, I took their advice and created the publication that I pray will be a great tool for women to use as they develop their intimate relationship with the Lord. My inspiration was knowing that the words that God used to prune, empower, and direct me, could reshape the lives of women across the globe.

Tell the readers about your book, “Work in Progress: Vessels For His Glory (A 60-Day Devotional).” My self-published devotional book allows readers to see modern-day applications of the Scriptures. I’m transparent about my daily life experiences and how they relate to the core biblical principles. Sharing my life experiences about shopping, working, interacting with others, experiencing challenges, and overcoming setbacks, will help the audience understand God in a new way. Readers will not only have an easy-to-read devotional, but there are also reflection questions to help them to dig deeper in comprehending and applying the Scriptures for themselves.

Where can the readers learn more about your blogs, books, and ministry? I definitely welcome all of your audience to visit my website ( https://forthekingdomsake.com/ ). My book is available for sale there (as well as Amazon). If your readers are not quite ready to

commit to purchasing the book, they can also subscribe to my newsletter (via my website) to receive the free bi-weekly devotionals and view my previously published content. I currently have an active presence on Instagram and Facebook (@4thekingdomsake). Feel free to follow me on both platforms where I share biblical and motivational content.

What advice would you give someone who wants to change and give their life to Christ? Confessing Christ as my Savior was the best decision I ever made in my life. For anyone that desires to surrender to God, don’t ignore the urge. Don’t wait to be perfect before you commit to Him. Dedicate time on a daily basis to gain an understanding of Him and to heed His instructions. You will see Him transform your life as you remain faithful in abiding in Him. There will be some days of pruning and restructuring, but it’s so worth the journey to gain peace, joy, and hope. Surround yourself with people who you can share the journey with. That will make the journey even sweeter.

What words of encouragement would you give to believers who are discouraged and losing their faith? We may never know the reasons why we face various trials and seasons of discouragement. One of my favorite Scriptures that strengthens me is in James 1:2-4 (NKJV) which states, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” When I go through my own personal struggles, these verses reassure me because it reveals that obstacles in life will produce something worthwhile. God is continually molding and shaping us for His divine plan. Sure it may look like your life is full of disappointments and setbacks, but He’s preparing something tailor-made. Hang in there and trust His plan no matter what may come your way. It will all come together for your good!

What is one of your greatest accomplishments? Launching my ministry is one of the accomplishments that I’m extremely proud of. Becoming an entrepreneur was a difficult journey to submit to the vulnerable space of sharing my life experiences to uplift others. I had to accept my faults and missteps in order to be a blessing to others and to prevent their potential pitfalls. It’s not always comfortable or convenient to be a vessel for God in that way. It seems like the more the I stand in the spotlight, the more He refines me and creates opportunities to share my journey with others.

Do you have any upcoming conferences, events, or workshops? At the moment, I don’t have any immediate commitments. Ensure to follow any of my social media handles in order to stay abreast of the pending future events.

Give us some words to educate, inspire, and encourage women, and the readers of Growth Women’s Business Networks Magazine. I would advise your readers to remain authentic to their purpose. Only you can reach the audience that you are assigned to. Be just as faithful as you are with the 10 as you would for the 10,000 (or more) that He is calling you to. There will be some twists and turns along the way, but stay focused on completing one step at a time. Your steps will be the very footprints that others need to see who are being strengthened by your walk.

FROM DREAM TO REALTIY IN STEPS

Many entrepreneurs will tell you that coming up with ideas are the easy part. It’s the implementation that separates the successful from the unsuccessful. Turning an idea into reality is a skill that anyone can learn. Managing yourself and consistent, daily actions are the most important factors.

What would you do if you knew failure wasn’t possible? You would believe that you could do the impossible!

Follow these steps to create your own reality:

Be crystal clear regarding your objective. Are you clear about what you want? Success is much more likely if your objective is clear and precise. If you’re too vague, the problem-solving functions of your brain will be too confused to operate optimally.

List your resources. Be aware of all the tools you have at your disposal. You have more to work with than you realize. Consider all the people you know that are capable of assisting you. List all of your resources that are relevant to your objective. Perhaps your car, computer, and local library are valuable tools.

Consider the resources you’ll require. What exactly will you need? Make a list of everything you think you’ll need and compare that list to the list you made of your available resources. How will you make up the difference?

Most importantly, ensure you have everything needed to get started.Avoid letting the future stop you from taking action today. This means avoid distractions! If there’s something you’re lacking that you won’t need for six months, you can still get started!

Maintain your awareness of your objective. Keep your objective (the end goal) in the front of your mind. The easiest way to do this is to think about it each day.Asimple visualization session twice a day is sufficient. Just remind yourself on a daily basis that you have an idea that you want to bring into reality.

14
9

Avoid trying for perfection. Perhaps the biggest obstacle is the belief that success only comes from taking perfect action. This belief is enough to paralyze your efforts. Consistent, steady action is enough to reach your goals.

Make a plan. Avoid waking up each day without a plan of attack. Be strategic. Know how you’re going to spend your day before you go to bed each night.A simple to-do list will guarantee that you can hit the ground running each day.

Work your plan. Knowing what to do is only half of the puzzle. It’s important to work your plan consistently. Everyone knows how to lose weight, but there are many overweight people on the planet. Focus on taking simple, effective actions day after day. Ariver created the Grand Canyon, and your objective is probably less grandiose.

Evaluate your progress. Provide yourself with regular feedback. Determine a method of measuring your progress and take regular measurements. Determine if you’re on the right track. How can you enhance your results? Do you need to try another course of action?

Seek to improve your approach based on your evaluations.

Keep going. If you keep working, measuring your progress, and developing an effective approach, how can you fail? You can only fail if you give up. Enjoy and be proud of the progress you’re making each week. Know that your idea will become a reality.

Success isn’t too complicated. Success is the result of maintaining “focus” and taking appropriate action each day. If you don’t quit, failure isn’t an option. Nothing is more exciting than turning a dream into reality. What life can you create for yourself?

Boundaries with Family

During the Holiday

Around this time of year, we spend a significant amount of time with friends and family. Boundaries is space and specific standards or guidelines for how to engage personally with you. Within most families there is an established “way of being” that the family uses as the unspoken “rules of engagement.” For example, “Mom has the final say” or “No one talk about Uncle Mike’s divorce.” Most of these unspoken rules lead to dysfunctional engagement wherein a person may feel obligated to keep quiet or not defend their right to be heard and understood. It’s important to acknowledge what makes you feel uncomfortable or disrespected first and then find ways to assert your needs and expectations for engagement. When we do not set boundaries, we could feel upset or agitated during our interactions with others which may make you feel disconnected from your loved ones. To maintain your interactions and have a more pleasurable experience with family you can:

●Acknowledge your feelings and needs when engaging with family. Know that you can be self-compassionate and aware of your body tensions, breathing, and thoughts related to your family interactions.

●Assert yourself with I statements “I think, I feel, and I need.” Share with your family if something feels awkward. Gently approach this with compassion towards your family noting they may not have thought of their actions as offensive.

●Be ok with the resolution that your family may feel uncomfortable and reject these boundaries. This does not mean it’s wrong.

By implementing boundaries while interacting with family, you may discover that you enjoy being with them more and feel more understood and more appreciated overall.

For more detailed interventions to implement boundaries you can read the book “Boundaries” Co-authored by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend.

5 YEAR-END TAX ESSENTIALS

Before 2022 comes to a close, take some time to review these essential items to ensure you are not missing something that could cause tax trouble when you file your tax return:

1. Take required minimum distributions (RMDs). If you are age 72 or older, you need to take RMDs from certain retirement accounts before Dec. 31st to avoid a 50% penalty! This includes most IRAs (except Roth IRAs) and 401(k)s. Your annual RMD is calculated by dividing the prior Dec. 31st balance by the life expectancy factor provided by IRS tables.

2. Watch for your Identity Protection PIN from the IRS. If you are a victim of tax-related identity theft, the IRS will mail you a one-time use identity protection personal identification number (IP PIN) as added security. The IRS mails IP PINs between mid-December and early January, so look for your IP PIN during this time period.

3. Contribute to retirement accounts. Making contributions to tax-advantaged retirement accounts like a traditional IRA or 401(k) is a great way to lower your tax liability, even if you don’t plan to itemize your deductions!

4. Harvest gains & losses. If you expect to have capital gains from your investments, selling stocks in a loss position to offset the gains will lower your tax liability. In fact, you can claim excess losses of up to $3,000 to decrease your ordinary income, such as wages from your job! Timing matters with investment sales and income taxes, so having a year-end strategy can help lower your tax bill.

5. Make last-minute tax moves. Here are a few ideas worth considering:

• Donate to charity to maximize itemized deductions

• Make a tax-efficient withdrawal from your retirement account if you are over age 59½

• Take advantage of 2022's gift-giving limit of $16,000 per person ($32,000 if married) If you own a small business, delay receipt of income from 2022 into 2023, or accelerate expenses from 2023 into 2022.

Understanding your current situation and having a plan will help maximize your year-end tax savings.

MBA, RTRP

I had been called to fetch my products that were finished. Normally there is noise from the machines busy with production. The workers running up and down I guess in their minds busy working towards meeting their targets. On this day it was different there was silence and I even wondered whether I had come to the right company. After a while the person I was supposed to meet came with a faint smile on his face and he greeted me. Oh I thought I was lost. Where is everyone?” I asked curiously. He answered after a few minutes as if he needed to think through his response.

“Everyone is at home. I am the only one working because I needed to deliver your products. The company is not doing well so we do not have enough work to have everyone around. It is tough.” He sighed. He explained that because of lack of business which was mainly affected by Covid lockdown the owners of the company were neglecting it and focusing on other ventures. This was not good for the employees who were skilled to work at that particular company because that meant anytime they would come to work and be told that the company had closed. My mind took me to the closest mall to my home, I was thinking of how many shops had closed to date. Many businesses started the year with high hopes and looked forward to celebrating their achieved plans at the end of the year, however like the company I visited to fetch my products clearly the year was not as productive as anticipated.

John Maxwell states,” Failed plans should not be interpreted as failed vision, Visions don’t change they are only refined. Plans rarely stay the same and are scrapped or adjusted as revealed. Be stubborn about the vison and flexible with your plan.”

Being in business requires one to be very flexible and as the employee shared that the owners were focusing on other ventures. Being Flexible also includes developing multiple sources of income within your area of expertise. As a founder sometimes there is temptation to be narrow minded and hold on to a venture that is not being fruitful because you started it. Being Flexible is essential as one goes through the process in business. There are different seasons but those who pass through all seasons and come out victorious know that success without process will leave you unqualified to reign what you have built. It is the process that builds your stamina and your insight.

Challenges are meant to build us and not break us if we hold on to our faith until we behold. As much as we have the bigger vision in our minds and on paper, beholding our vision unfolds as we pursue it sometimes painfully, sometimes exciting, sometimes confusing and sometimes lonely. Business woman fight the good fight of faith as you run the race until you behold.
