Sandra V. Phillips started her private practice, Transformation Behavioral Health, LLC located in Augusta, Georgia area in 2014. After receiving her BA degree in psychology from the University of West Georgia, where she fell in love with Humanistic Psychology, she later earned both a M.Ed. and MS in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. Ms. Phillips is a licensed professional counselor, certified alcohol and drug counselor II, Department of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional, national certified counselor and certified professional counselor supervisor. She also serves as a trauma specialist in the CRSA, providing debriefings in response to critical incidents. She is honored to work with the armed forces, rendering counseling services to active military members, veterans, and their families as star behavioral health provider.
Ms. Phillips provides counseling services to a multicultural and diverse population and enjoys working with both youth and adults alike. The belief that “everything begins with a thought” has defined her approach to therapy with emphasis placed on transformation by way of renewing the mind. Ms. Phillips, who offers faith-based counseling upon request, provides individual, couples, group and family counseling on a variety of issues such as anxiety, grief/loss, depression, trauma, ADHD, substance abuse, and PTSD. She is also an experienced speaker and has presented in schools, churches, community organizations and corporate offices and enjoys interacting with attendees during trainings. Ms. Phillips is committed to assisting others live their best lives.
