FALL 2021 "A renewed journey awaits you when you decide it's time but time itself waits on no one."
Sharon D.Holliday
page 3
Fall Greetings Friends, 2021 has been a year of change. I am sure most of us have had a heart-to-heart with ourselves and ABBA FATHER in Christ especially considering the many things that have gone on in our world since the previous year of 2020. It changed the way we all live and view life. Coming into 2021, I realized everything that needed change needed more prayer. I begin seeking different results. I was stuck couldn't seem to achieve beyond the same attempts. I knew something had to change that I had been missing or not applied effectively. James 1:5 says, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. Proverbs 13:20 Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed. That led me to a despair battle cry (and now I know, the birthing of the Proverbs 31:17 Get Fit Woman). How we live our lives affect our entire life. Our spirit, soul, and body are inseparable from our life's journey. You can walk out your life with intention or passive involvement mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually. If you are passive about life, you can put some areas in a box of limitations. In reality, we sometimes are unaware of how passive we are living. We need to examine ourselves regularly. The P31:17 Woman was waiting to live to the fullest with nothing lacking, living her best life. I came to God and heard my cry and answered me. One request was, I don't want anybody else's plan. I said, "this is personal, I want what is for me." In a nutshell, that's what I received. In this Fall issue of the Become Magazine, we are focused on the P31:17 Get-Fit Woman. We're sharing the beginnings of this life-changing year. We are re-introducing Sharon's fitness coach and giving you highlights. We chose the fall season intentionally. Fall is the season we recognize a lot of changes around us. The weather shifts from hot to cool, days shortens, nights are longer, leaves change from green to yellow, red, orange, brown, and then they fall and tumble around. We begin to notice we need the for longer sleeves, then thicker articles of clothing like a sweater or jacket, and suddenly the next season seems as though it arrived early. Comfort We also embrace different seasonal coffees and soups. Then we might snuggle with a warm blanket thrown across us, "all these changes" in Fall. (by the way, we've found a shop, when I travel south or go for visits with my coach, a coffee shop, Beans and Things located in Fayetteville, NC. They embrace us just like we embrace all their goodies. Be sure to drop by and experience their family-like service! You will see pictures of my transformation that are blowing my mind. The way that I was most familiar with was weight loss. I transformed my thinking because I am no longer losing something and going back to find it. I use the term too "weight release." It's now my manifested lifestyle. We have more between the pages, "Enjoy Fall!" Happy Thanksgiving too!

Tell us about how your fitness journey started. I'm from Dunn North Carolina and have been residing in Fayetteville for most of my adult life. I have a Degree from Hagerstown Junior College. I served in the United States Army. Later became employed as McDonald Restaurant General Manager for 22 years. I retried at the Age of 63. Staying Fit must have been easy after being in the military. On the contrary, being in the Military it was MANDATORY to stay "Fit and Healthily," but after leaving the Military, I found it o be difficult to stay fit and eat healthily. Why? There was no one telling you what to eat and how much you HAD to weigh. I had no discipline so, I could eat what I wanted. I had NO more Physical Training. After I became a General Manager at McDonald's, I found it to be a challenge to stand on my feet all day and keeping up with the employees. One day my daughter (Zaneta) said to me, Mom you should come to Zumba with me as my guest. At first, I was hesitant. I felt that it was no way I could do what that young lady was doing. The next day I went to TruFit Gym. I spoke with the General Manager. He informed me, "Getting Healthy was not a choice, it is life or death". Your health is not negotiable. You must change your lifestyle. From there, I started attending Zumba classes. I loved it! Once I found myself in the fitness world, I felt like I had found a new home. That's Amazing, Nancy! Zumba has been a part of my life for the past 5 years, and I have seen and felt first-hand the effects of regulars practice. (continues next page)

Spirit Soul

Spirit Soul Body She girds herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong and firm. Proverbs 31:17
Spirit The Spirit is eternal, it is the real you connected or able to connect to God.It is where He resides. Our hope, faith and love comes from our spirit being. It is divine.
Soul The iSoul nvolves the mind, will, and the emotions. This involves our reason, will, desires and our personality. It a window between the spirit and the body. Very Important: butwherever we direct our focus is subject to becoming our god. We must sustain a proper balance.
Body The body is referred to as the flesh. It's the house that the scripture refers, Do you not know the body is the temple of God? It's physical and consist of the five senses hearing, smell, sight, touch, taste. The body is temporary since mankind sinned.

Spirit Soul Body
She girds herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong and firm. Proverbs 31:17
Every part is important to the balance of the whole woman [person]. Each part has its role and its order
Although this issue is focus on the physical fitness ,we are emphasizing the vitalness of all things working properly together. 1 Timothy 4:8 said it best, "For bodily exercise is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."
Now this scripture has been the one that held the Body of Christ hostage to not being physically fit. I think it's important to know this is a priority also in life and not to excuse ourselves from doing physical fitness to maintain a healthy life and live for your God given task. No, you don’t have to be a Fitness Guru just don’t neglect any part of what makes you.

TIME TO RE-DIRECT FRANCES MCNEIL
Many times on this journey called life, we’ve experienced those opportunities that we felt were life-changing and most definitely gifts from above. In reflecting now, you may have said to yourself, “I should have done this, or I wished I would've done that...” to those situations. We can’t really say why we didn’t move sooner or not follow our gut instinct. Some would conjecture that maybe it was timing, maybe it was busyness, but whatever the reason, we didn’t act. And now that we’re older and more mature in our thoughts and decision-making, let’s take a look back to become clearer on moving forward. Oftentimes, it is our mindset, habits, or fears which cause us to drawback from things that are unfamiliar. We forget if we’re not reminded often through fellowship and prayer that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but quite contrary a mind of power. (2 Tim. 1:7, NLT) What seems to be a missed opportunity is in actuality experiences that we can draw from to begin to ask ourselves, “What are the things that stagger my faith?” We have all had them and will continue to have these experiences as we embark upon a purpose driven life. The victory is learning when and how to manage open doors (blessings) through faith. God will continue to prove Himself and His power through the manifestations of His promises in our daily walk. We, on the other hand, are challenged by a force that is not seen by the naked eye (Eph. 6:12, KJV). First, we must understand that these challenges are all deceitful untruths contrived by our adversary, who would love nothing more than to fill our mind with pity and regret. Just as it has been from the beginning of time (Gen. 3:2-4, KJV), it continues to be so. Tactics of deception and manipulation to draw us off the course set for our life. We know these self-defeating traits (James 1:6-8) do nothing to thrust us into a position to receive from the unlimited resources of our Savior. Quite the contrary, they only make us feel unworthy and most importantly undeserving. But, my friend, grace is a free gift from God (Eph. 2:6-8, KJV) and it is grace that will lead you to the true perception of who you truly are in Christ. Faith also has been made available to every man and woman (Romans 10:17; Romans 12:3, KJV), it is yours for the asking.
Time to Re-Direct (con't)
Through God’s grace and faith, there are things (tangible and intangible) on Earth that have been set aside for our benefit, our enjoyment, our abundance, and even our spoils. We have to learn how to position ourselves to access these heavenly blessing on Earth (Psalms 27:13). As you finish reading this article, make the declaration today that I will do what I need to do to live a purposedriven life. Scripture: Is. 1:19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the landWillingness- (Hebrew) to consent, to yield to, to accept... What habits, activities, desires or fears are consuming you and preventing you from being focused? Let's be determined to possess the land and fully give our hearts to God.
Spiritual Coach Principle: Your challenge today is to meditate on this topic and research areas in your life where you have not exhibited a willingness to yield to God. 1. Reflect on areas of mental health (thinking patterns, emotional being, conflict/resolution plan) and spiritual (believing, faith, deeds of faith) realm. 2. Make a list (no more than three (3-5)) of those things as they come to your mind. 3. Schedule praying and reading time weekly. (do what is manageable to start and build) 4. Create a plan of action for the areas you can begin to change. (prioritize your list) 5. Seek a prayer and accountability partner to support you on this journey.

P31:17 Get-Fit Woman Journal Notes When God connected the dots of my life, I knew it was more than a "me thing." Our success starts with God-first, guess what! Every fitness step has started just like that. My Fitness Coach begins by saying, "pray us in, Pastor." February 2021 It was a conversation after the homegoing service. It's my Friend's sister ( I honor, the Woman of God). I remember her saying, "what y'all up to?" with the biggest smile when I came to hang out with BFF Nancy. She always smiled. It's that smile I hold dear now, although this is not the occasion I prefer having to reference this renewed part of our journey. It is a place of honor to know she would be amazed to see us now. Seeing who we are in Christ. Although, we had not seen one another in a while. God used this to change our lives for His purpose. We had a conversation uninterrupted with no reservations. We just talked like the day we met in school for years. I believe God knit our friendship before we ever understood. Now here we are. I share because this is a part of the significance of the journey God has a plan. And no, we never fell out of the relationship as friends, never argued, and have always known we were available for one another, just in case you were curious, we did life apart, but so many things are just like us. Do you have something you need God to intervene? Don't deny His help. Denying His assistance can deny His results. December 2020 I felt I might need to change something to get the results desired. It meant a whole lifestyle that involves physical activity and not being dependent on products and only food modifications. I know and believe very well that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 I like walking. It wasn't all I needed but required help.
P31:17 Get-Fit Woman Journal Notes (con't) Communication is essential in life. Communication is verbal and also listening. Spiritually you always include knowing who is speaking in the midst of you. God did more in that setting that day in February than we could have done in the years we thought we missed. I'm flooded seeing how it's all unfolding. We talked. "I know your problem," "I can help you" this word came from her mouth with a lot of assurance. I heard it well. God can and did it that moment. To me, it felt like Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist God was present God spoke. He blessed this moment. Revelation is clear. She also gave me a task, Can you get a few more women that would be interested in shaping up? Please, tell them it is free. She put a big emphasis on FREE. Three, I could nail that, I thought. That was the most difficult three people to find at first. That didn't stop me. I was all in, so was she, more than I could imagine. The answer to my battle cry came packaged in my friend Nancy Brown Wheeler, certified Zumba Instructor, who gives to see lives change. Nancy believes in what she does. Nancy devotes time to the elderly in homes. She serves youth that is in need to bring enhancement to their well-being. She plans every program and class for the individuals. Nancy gives her time knowledge and skills. My plan started with her on March 1st. page 17

We have been privileged to have two other classmates participate. I'm so grateful I didn't go ahead of God. He ordered my steps as needed. I couldn't have done this. We are determined to do our lives as unto the Lord in love. We are learning a lot. We are all grateful! We received our first invitation event as a group to share in fitness in Juneteenth Harnett County. It was a blast! We saw how God used even this, and why not? It's His anyway. We had our first ladies get-away at the beginning of fall. All we had to do was pack and go. Ain't that just like God! What's next? Blessings flow here! 2022 is going to be even more amazing! In this part of the journey, we found out we were both assigned to one another. To God be the Glory! Spirit, Soul, and Body because we must learn to defy what the enemy wants to destroy and give God what He wants, which is all of us. Life is best in Him. Trust Him in all things! I'm addicted to becoming all of what God created me to do with Him connecting dots for us to follow to manifest the lifestyle of a P31:17 Get-Fit Woman.

Self-Care Value You
Blog Thoughts: II was feeling the change of weather while working on a few things on my desk. One of those thoughts, you know how your mind goes back to appreciate good people and the things they take the time to do. I remember a warm cup of tea prepared with love and care and a good conversation with a good friend. It was just what I needed at that moment. Care and self-care are essential. Give life a chance, it will teach us little things can make a big difference. This rekindled memory brought back the aroma of the combinations that makes Chai so soothing. (Spices like cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, black pepper, cloves coriander, star anise, peppercorns, ginger in warm milk). inspired a self-care notion (but first to finish the task) to love me while the time alone was at hand. So, I finished my work. Afterward, I grabbed a cup and looked in my cabinet for my teas, and I had more chai tea..." yes!" I exclaimed. My thoughts became my much-needed reality, Hum, this got me going. A nice spa bath with vapor crystals wouldn't be a bad idea either. Well, it's all good! Talking to my fitness coach has been a true God-sent gift. Fitness is beyond the physical workout. There's something my lifestyle changes is teaching me, that is to be in touch with myself. I'm amazed

THE LIFESTYLE OF THE P31:17 GET-FIT WOMAN
A very familiar scripture in 3 John1:2 says, "Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers." We have come to a place and time in this dispensation that we have become more conscious of healthiness as we face one another daily. We are teaching our children. We are even speaking out more because we all have been affected by Covid-19 in some way. As we draw to the close of another year, we also become more conscious of our physical well-being. We also begin to calculate our financial responsibilities, mindful of the mental state of individuals because we know holidays people experience loneliness, financial stress, and possible depression. I have learned that a well-balanced lifestyle improves the quality and quantity of life. The lifestyle of the P31:17 Get Fit Woman is Healthiness. Give attention to each area of life and maintain healthy relationships. The lifestyle of this woman is taking care of the spirit, soul, and body. She lives with contentment and gratitude. She brings the life of God on board wherever she goes. She knows her life is a mission for the work of the kingdom of God. P31:17 Get Fit Woman gives thanks to God for the committed Christian and Intercessors. She, being aware of the strategies that the enemy set forth to devour whom he can. Let's keep a healthy balanced life and pray. We need one another's prayers and be prayerful. God's Women pray weekly on a prayer call as the Spirit of God leads. Connect with God in times of prayer. Join your church prayer groups or calls. Stay united in the realm of the spirit against the forces of Satan. Healthiness also involves praying.
