SNELLVILLE — Gwinnett County police on Wednesday morning raided 12 suspected unlicensed personal care homes, reportedly unsafe and undersupervised facilities housing a few dozen patients with varying illnesses. The searches began around the Snellville area simultaneously at

On the medical examiner side, the building will include 6,400 square feet of space for postmortem exams, as well as medical, investigation and administrative staff. It will also have conference and respite spaces for families. At the same time, the

morgue area will include three state-of-the-art autopsy stations as well as laboratory, evidence processing and storage space, according to county officials. County documents show the morgue will take up a majority of the space in the building at a total of 8,700 square feet. Officials also said the building is designed to meet LEED certification
