Gwinnett County police are seeking the public’s help in finding the person who tied up and robbed a Piedmont Bank employee after attempting to rob the Peachtree Corners bank on Thursday morning. Police Cpl. Deon Washington said the man pulled a gun on the employee at about 6:45 a.m., as she was opening the door to the bank, which is located at 5100 Peachtree Parkway. The man ordered the employee to open the bank vault without setting off the bank’s alarms, Washington added. “The employee told the suspect that she did not have the access codes to the vault,” Washington said in a statement.

Since Jess Baumgart, a Duluth High grad, and her husband Nate started their dream trip around the globe, they have not quite tossed their worries to the wind. ference is, I never expected this type of trip to be easy.” They are about halfway through their journey, which began in January. In the last six months, they have traveled to 10 countries. Although Jess Baumgart said her husband tends to be the most laid-back of the two, both are learning to overcome challenges on the trip and embrace every moment of their experience. “I can already feel that anxious voice in my head repeating, ‘Enjoy it while you can, it’s going to be over soon …’” Jess Baumgart wrote.
