One victim in double homicide ID’d Police arrest suspect in Duluth slaying

Gwinnett police have identified one of the two men killed in a double homicide in Duluth over the weekend. Norcross resident

Officers booked Jones into Gwinnett County Jail Monday at 9:30 a.m. on two counts of felony murder and aggravated assault. He’s being held without bond. Officials are still working to notify the family of the other victim killed Sunday. His name has not been released as of Tuesday afternoon.

Atlanta Falcons fans in Gwinnett can’t hold back their excitement or their urge to stock up on team gear to represent for the team bound for Super Bowl LI. The fans have flocked to sporting goods stores such as Academy Sports and Outdoors in Snellville since the team won the conference championship Sunday. Immediately after the Falcons beat the Green Bay Packers 44-21 at the Georgia Dome, fans showed up to the Scenic Highway store already wearing team gear and in search of more. Atlanta-area stores start selling championship products immediately after a win, according to banners hanging outside stores. “The team is going all the way because they showed up (Sunday) and they’re going to show up at the (Super Bowl) ,” Lawrenceville resident Theresa Perez said as she browsed through Tshirts. Perez brought along her 21-month-old daughter, Olivia, for company to shop for team wear for her husband, sons and herself. “‘Rise up’ is the first thing my family’s going to say when we win. “Now this is what I’m talking about,” she said when she held up a T-shirt reading, “Atlanta in Control: Conference Champions 2016.” “It’s been good shopping so far; there are so many styles of T-shirts.” Customers packed the
