Chuck Warbington, the longtime executive director of the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District, is moving to another local government job. On Thursday, Lawrenceville officials announced him as the sole finalist to become city manager, replacing Bob Baroni, who retired at Chuck Warbington the end of February after 42 years in the position. Gwinnett Medical Center and ChoiceOne Urgent Care are teaming up to offer new urgent care options to Gwinnett County residents who need medical assistance. The hospital and urgent care company announced this week that they will partner to create a network of urgent care facilities. The facilities will offer a variety of services, ranging from care for non-emergency conditions such as broken bones and infections, to sports physicals and laboratory services. “Patients want access to convenient and quick medical care,” Gwinnett Medical CEO and President Phil Wolfe said in a statement. “With ChoiceOne being open in the evening and on the weekend, patients can receive high-quality care on their schedule.
