The Snellville woman who suffered a brain injury in a car accident in April was released from an Atlanta hospital Wednesday, according to a news release sent out Thursday. University of Georgia student Agnes Kim, 22, received extensive inpatient treatment for her injury and went through a rigorous rehabilitation program led by team of specialists in the Shepherd Center’s Brain Injury Unit. “Ms. Kim’s family is grateful for the outpouring of support from the community; however, they continue to request privacy, said Kerry Ludlam, a hospital spokeswoman. Kim will continue rehab in the day program at Shepherd’s Pathway, the center’s comprehensive outpatient recovery program in Decatur for brain injury patients who no longer require 24-hour care. Each day patients participate in training based in the facility and are re-integrated into the community, Ludlam said. See KIM, Page 8A
