life at play This year Plum® is extremely proud to celebrate 30 years in business. We’ve been a family business since the beginning and 30 years later we still lead our teams worldwide, working closely across all departments. We don’t often stop and reflect on the incredible journey, from our first home office to bringing up three kids and moving around the world. We’ve worked with wonderful people along the way, sharing many successes and laughs and anticipate even more peaks to scale. Family values have been the key to our success, we understand that every family is unique but we are also all the same in wanting the best for our kids. Making time to play is important in the world we live in, shaping the way our children learn and develop. Now more than ever before, in the digital age, physical play is crucial in childhood. Our mission remains the same, to make safe active play an affordable possibility in every home in every country. Over the years we have introduced unique toys and play equipment across many product categories as well as developing patented trampoline technologies, moving the industry forward, improving the play experience of our customers. Our multi award winning designs have encouraged generations to get up off the sofa and out into the garden, exploring new environments, playing with friends and having fun. New products launched in 2017 continue to receive recognition across the industry awards. Judged by children, parents and industry experts our products come out on top. The past year has been exciting for us. After the success of the Plum Discovery® range launching worldwide, our product development team have focused on developing the range further, encompassing the essence of discovery nature play.

Our international business has continued to grow taking Plum Play® worldwide, expanding our reach by selling to over 40 countries and seeing major growth with our international partners. Selected products are now available through our international dropship program where customers are supported by our dedicated in-house teams located at our UK, Hong Kong and Australian offices. Due to the success of our international growth we have upgraded our Hong Kong showroom, moving to a new space that allows us to show off more of our range, which continues to expand. We now have one of the largest selections of activity toys now under one brand in the world. Our play vision extends across all product categories from activity to role play, sensory to creative and discovery play. Our North European sourced timber comes from trees that are slow grown for at least 30 years. This timber is heavier and stronger than faster growing trees in warmer climates

and this ensures our products are built to last. The timber is dried and pressure treated so it is rot and insect resistant. It is free of bark and there are no loose knots. Plum速 has been using arsenic free preservatives (CCAfree) since 2004.

Plum® trampolines are made with Springsafe® technology and features. The Plum® Springsafe® design confronts two important safety issues, injury caused from contact with springs and injury caused by strain. We recognise the concern of users coming into contact with springs, causing injury. In order to provide the best bouncing experience for our users we developed Springsafe® technology and features. Springsafe® ensures that users are out of reach from Plum® springs and frame parts at all times. We use high performance springs in all our trampolines to provide an even and controlled bounce that is kind to joints. Find your bounce The length of a spring determines bounce performance. We use different length springs on our trampolines to suit the user and their required bounce. Long springs give a softer, but more extreme bounce, therefore we use longer springs on all of our premium trampolines. A shorter spring gives a more controlled and smaller bounce, which is why we design our junior trampolines with short springs, for beginner jumpers. High performace springs Springs are important, and not just for a fun bounce. All professional trampolines used in the Olympics and in trampoline parks use springs for good reason. Their users bounce for substantial periods each day, therefore require a strong yet forgiving, controlled bounce. We want our bounce to be as kind on the joints as it can be and as smooth and as vertical as possible. 99.99% of trampolines made worldwide use a spring design.

Spring testing We are constantly testing our trampoline’s springs. For every batch of springs we receive, we life cycle test and salt spray. During the life cycle test we stretch and release the spring on a 30,000 cycle, so we can ensure long lasting safe play. By salt spraying the springs we test the galvanised steel and guarantee they are rust resistant.

Receiving our goods Slides Our slides arrive stacked on a pallet ready to be picked and bagged easily at source, to be sent via local carrier. We supply our goods this way so our customers benefit from freight efficiencies. Round pole We supply our round pole bound together on custom made pallets. This bespoke solution is ideal when shipping large timber. We store all of our round pole outside in its natural environment allowing it to breathe and adapt before construction in the garden. Dimensional polish timber Dimensional Polish Timber is supplied on pallets. The timber is either packed in netting or is kiln dried and packed in cardboard with a silica gel. Both procedures ensure all timber is free from moisture, with no risk of mould or missing parts. 134

Trampolines Plum® Trampolines are supplied boxed. We aim for minimal or zero overhang on pallets for Distribution Centre compatibility, customers are advised to note box dimensions for compatibility at automated distribution centres.
