Correctness of Details (Reg 18)
It is the Exhibitors’ or Competitors’ responsibility to ensure that all the information provided is correct.
Refunds (Reg 20)
Refunds will only be provided on production of a veterinary certificate. which must be received by the Entries Office no more than 7 days after the last day of Show. Levies included in the entry fee will not be refunded. Stable fees will not be refunded.
Eligibility to Enter (Reg 21)
Exhibitors must ensure the entry is registered with the appropriate breed society for the classes being entered and, where necessary, the Owner, Rider and Exhibitor.
Payment of Prizes (Regs 35 & 36)
Winning exhibitors will be issued with a prize money voucher which must be redeemed during the show. Vouchers not presented will be forfeited.
Objections (Reg 40)
Must be made in writing and submitted to the Society Office no later than 17:00 on the day of the class and accompanied by a deposit of £50.
GDPR Condition of Entry
Details of entries made will only be shared with breed societies and/or shows to confirm eligibility and/or qualification. Results will be displayed on the Show’s web site. Breed societies will also provide/use some of your information. Please go to the relevant society’s web page to view their policy as to how, when and why your details will be used.
Equine Flu (Reg 49)
All equines attending the Royal Bath & West Show 2024 must have been vaccinated for Equine Influenza. The requirement for the first 3 vaccinations is as follows: the first 2 vaccinations 21 – 92 days apart, a third booster between 150-215 days, and an annual booster vaccination within 365 days thereafter. No horse should enter competitions within 7 days of an EI vaccination. Foals should commence vaccinations at 6 months old.

The IDHS (GB) £2000 Challenge
This show is a qualifier for the IDHS(GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge. The highest placed horse/s (not already qualified) from each of the above classes will qualify for the final of the IDHS (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) National Championship Show on 7th & 8th September 2024 at Onley Equestrian Centre, Onley Grounds Farm, Willoughby, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 8AJ. A horse may only qualify for the final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Qualifiers will be contacted by a member of the IDHS Show Team. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.org.uk to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the final. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, and a trophy the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Purebred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and £100, and the highest placed Sport Horse will receive a trophy and £50.
Moorbennhall ID Youngstock Challenge The IDHS (GB) Sport Horse Youngstock Challenge
Class H123
This show is a qualifier for both The Moorbennhall Irish Draught Youngstock Challenge and the IDHS (GB) Irish Draught Sport Horse Youngstock Challenge. The two highest placed Irish Draught pure-breds and Irish Draught Sport Horses from each age group in Class H123 yearlings, two year olds and three year olds, that are eligible for Class 1 on the Irish Draught Breed Register by an RID (GB), Class 1 or Class 2 sire out of a Graded dam, OR registered on the Irish Draught Sport Horse Register (must have a minimum of 25% proven ID breeding). If one or both have already qualified, the horse next in line in each age group will qualify for their respective final which will be held at the 7th & 8th September 2024 at Onley Equestrian Centre, Onley Grounds Farm, Willoughby, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 8AJ. Qualifiers will be contacted by a member of the IDHS Show Team. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.org.uk to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the final. HS30 For the Best Small Hunter Brood Mare in Class H98 The Violet Wellesley Perpetual Challenge Cup (H29) offered by Miss D M P Anthony. HS31 Brood Mare Premium Awards SHB(GB) - One offered in the Small & Lightweight Hunter Brood Mare class and one in the Middleweight & Heavyweight Hunter Brood Mare class. The premiums will only be awarded if there are a minimum of three mares forward per class. It will take the form of a Service Voucher, the value of which is to be determined from time to time by SHB(GB), awarded at the Judge's discretion to their selection from the monetary prize winners, to be used towards the cost of covering the mare by any SHB(GB) Graded Stallion or Life Approved Premium Stallion that is properly registered for the year of covering. This Service Voucher may be used in either of the two years following the year of award. The owner must be, or become, a fully paid up member of SHB(GB) in order to be eligible for the award. No mare shall take more than one award per year. NOTE: Grade I and II mares are eligible to be transferred into the SHB(GB) Stud Book. THE THREE SHOWS CHALLENGE 2024
This Challenge is open to everyone competing in the Hunter Breeding Classes at the Royal Bath & West, Royal Cornwall and Devon County Shows, and who live in the South West Region comprising of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucester, Hampshire and Wiltshire. Points will be allocated in the Hunter Breeding Classes (classes H95 to H98 and H100) as follows: 1st - 10 points; 2nd - 7 points; 3rd - 5 points; 4th - 3 points In the event of a tie, exhibiting history over the three shows would be taken into account. Where classes are combined, ie Colt, Gelding or Filly, points will be awarded for the highest placed Colt or Gelding and the highest placed Filly. Points will also be awarded for both Lightweight and Heavyweight Brood Mares (foals are not eligible for this award). Points will be accumulated by the horse rather than the owner. Prizes: Winners of the Three Shows Challenge £100 and Rosette. Reserve £50 and Rosette. The Douglas Kellow Memorial Trophy (presented by Mrs Loveday Kellow and Family) will be awarded at the Royal Cornwall Show to the winner of the Three Shows Challenge. 7

ALL EXHIBITS, OWNERS, RIDERS, PRODUCERS AND HORSES IN HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW QUALIFIERS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH SPORT HORSE BREEDING OF GREAT BRITAIN, BRITISH SHOW HORSE ASSOCIATION OR THE SHOWING REGISTER. CLASS H102 EXHIBTS, OWNERS AND RIDERS NEED NOT BE REGISTERED WITH ANY SOCIETY. SHB (GB) Only Day Ticket = £36 entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 shows in the year – (£36 per day ticket - it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days. Horse of the Year Show Classes H103 to H107 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 9th13th October 2024, and will attract a £18.00 Horse of the Year Show contribution with each entry. Qualification will not pass below fifth place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. Classes will be run in accordance with the general rules set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. This is a Horse of the Year Show Qualifier, all data given upon entry of this class is provided to Grandstand Media Limited and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. For full policy details please visit www.grandstandentries.com. Exhibitors are required by DEFRA to carry with them Official Identity Documents for all horses/ponies when competing or travelling. Competitors are reminded that it is a DEFRA requirement that the Official Identity Documents must be in the name of the legal owner within 30 days of ownership. This must be registered with the breed society, relevant studbook or ID issuing agency, dependant on breed/type of animal. Spot checks may be carried out at qualifying shows and by breed societies. If the Judge considers that any exhibit in Classes H104 or H105 is up to more than the specified weight, he or she shall transfer such exhibit to Classes H105 or H106 respectively. The highest placed unqualified exhibit in the top 5 in each Open Affiliated class will qualify to compete in the BSHA Supreme of the Year Final. The Finals will be held at the BSHA National Championship Shows in September 2024. The IDHS(GB) £2000 Challenge This Show is a qualifier and the highest placed horse (not already qualified) in H103-107 will qualify for the Final of the IDHS(GB) £2000 Challenge. See qualifier page for details. H107 is open to all Horses registered with the BSHA, and Hunters registered with SHB (GB) or TSR. Highest placed unqualified horse down to fifth place. The top four (if registered with the BSHA) will qualify for the Mears Ladies Show Horse Final at the BSHA National Championships. Exhibits will be required to gallop/extend together during the Go Round phase.

Class H102 NOVICE HUNTER MARE OR GELDING Four years old or over. Horse not to have won a first prize of £60 or a total of £200 (or equivalent values) in prize money in SHB (GB) affiliated Ridden Hunter classes at home or abroad, before 1 January in the current year, excepting all prize money awarded as a four year old. Any horse which qualifies for Horse of the Year Show, in a Ridden Hunter class (not including Working Hunter classes) will not be eligible to compete in Novice classes from 1 January the following year, but horses that qualified for Horse of the Year Show as a four year old are exempt. 458

The BSHA offers an Owner/Breeder rosette in each In-Hand Breeding class with the exception of the Foal class. These have kindly been sponsored by Kellythorpe Stud. NPS Summer Championships This Show is a qualifier for the NPS/Mr & Mrs Roberts Ottergayle Hack & Riding Horse In Hand Supreme Championship. The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the horse to enter this competition, to qualify or to enter the final. The highest placed horse in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second horses are already qualified. Foals are excluded from qualifying. National Welsh Championship Show This Show is a qualifier for The National WPBR In-Hand Championship and the National Gelding In-Hand Championships. SPECIAL PRIZE HS37 SHB(GB) Premium SHB(GB) offers one premium in the Brood Mare class. The premium will be awarded if there are a minimum of three mares forward in the class. It will take the form of a Service Voucher, the value of which is to be determined from time to time by SHB(GB), awarded at the Judge's discretion to their selection from the monetary prize winners, to be used towards the cost of covering the mare by any SHB(GB) Graded Stallion or Life Approved Premium Stallion that is properly registered for the year of covering. This Service Voucher may be used in either of the two years following the year of award. The owner must be, or become, a fully paid up member of SHB(GB) in order to be eligible for the award. No mare shall take more than one award per year. NOTE: Grade I and II mares are eligible to be transferred into the SHB(GB) Stud Book.

All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Ridden competitors must wear a safety/kit mark hard hat with chinstrap. Class H126 TATTERSALLS RoR FORMER RACEHORSE CHALLENGE SHOW SERIES QUALIFIER 2024 Mare or Gelding four years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over on the 1 January of the calendar year holding the classes. Horses to be ridden in any suitable bridle and should be plaited. All entries must be Competition registered with RoR and HAVE raced and been in training in GB. First four to go forward to the championship at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships, Aintree, August 24th 2024. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. The classed to be judged: 50% jumping; 20% style while jumping and performance; 30% for show, manners and suitability to be retrained. Phase 1 - Jumping: 8 rustic fences 3ft (90cm) - 3ft 3in (1m) with a maximum spread of 0.95cm. The following points to be deducted at the end of each jumping round: 10 pts for a knock down 15 pts for a refusal 20 pts for a second refusal Elimination for third refusal or fall or error of course. Phase 2 - class returns without boots and judged for an individual show/conformation. (In some cases, at the judge's discretion, horses may be asked to do a ‘show’ following their jumping without leaving the ring. This is often the case with a large number in a class). Each horse to complete an individual show of no longer than 1½ minutes. Show to include the following movements: Walk, Trot, Canter (showing change of leg), Extended Canter (gallop), Halt, Stand and Walk Off on a long rein. Total marks out of 30% for show, manners and suitability to be retrained. Fences for the final at Aintree can be up to a maximum of 3ft 6in (1.05m). Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge and may be stripped for conformation at the discretion of the Judge. Racing injuries and blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series. RoR Prizes: Rosettes 1st – 4th place, a branded prize to the winner to be redeemed from the RoR Office. A branded prize to the highest placed Veteran horse (15+) and qualification for the RoR Ridden Veteran Final also at Aintree on 24th August 2024. Prizes to be redeemed from the RoR Office.

Horses may remain in the Tattersalls RoR Novice Ridden Show Series (Formerly RoR Jockey Club Novice Show Series) classes until they have won (win) three Tattersalls RoR Novice Show Series Qualifiers. They are denoviced on their third novice win or at midnight on the day they win an open class, whichever happens first. They are still eligible to compete in the Tattersalls RoR Novice Final at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships. The first three to go forward to the final of The Jockey Club RoR National Championships at Aintree on 24 August 2024. All entries MUST have current RoR competition registration and have RACED in GB. Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse's last run in a race (NH or Flat) should the entries exceed 20. Please mark your entry accordingly. The following classes are affiliated to The Rescue Equine Showing Society 2024. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the final on 1-4th August 2024 at Equifest, Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire. Definition of Rescue: 1. Any equine that is adopted, fostered, under a guardianship scheme from any National Equine Welfare Council registered Charity (NEWC). 2. Any equine that is adopted, fostered, under a guardianship scheme from any other equine charity (must be registered with the Charity Commission). 3. Any equine that has been “independently” rescued by an individual. There must be supporting evidence (photographic, veterinary) that will be included in the Rescue History for the equine, to demonstrate their rescue status.
