Correctness of Details (Reg 18)

It is the Exhibitors’ or Competitors’ responsibility to ensure that all the information provided is correct.

Refunds (Reg 20)

Refunds will only be provided on production of a veterinary certificate. which must be received by the Entries Office no more than 7 days after the last day of Show. Levies included in the entry fee will not be refunded. Stable fees will not be refunded.

Eligibility to Enter (Reg 21)

Exhibitors must ensure the entry is registered with the appropriate breed society for the classes being entered and, where necessary, the Owner, Rider and Exhibitor.

Payment of Prizes (Regs 35 & 36)

Winning exhibitors will be issued with a prize money voucher which must be redeemed during the show. Vouchers not presented will be forfeited.

Objections (Reg 40)

Must be made in writing and submitted to the Society Office no later than 17:00 on the day of the class and accompanied by a deposit of £50.

GDPR Condition of Entry

Details of entries made will only be shared with breed societies and/or shows to confirm eligibility and/or qualification. Results will be displayed on the Show’s web site. Breed societies will also provide/use some of your information. Please go to the relevant society’s web page to view their policy as to how, when and why your details will be used.

Equine Flu (Reg 49)

All equines attending the Royal Bath & West Show 2024 must have been vaccinated for Equine Influenza. The requirement for the first 3 vaccinations is as follows: the first 2 vaccinations 21 – 92 days apart, a third booster between 150-215 days, and an annual booster vaccination within 365 days thereafter. No horse should enter competitions within 7 days of an EI vaccination. Foals should commence vaccinations at 6 months old.

If the Champion has already qualified, then the Reserve Champion will go forward. Only the Champion or Reserve Champion will qualify. Prize Money at the final will be: 1st £1,000; 2nd £400; 3rd £100; 4th £50; 5th £25; 6th £25; 7th £25; 8th £25 together with sashes for the Champion and Reserve, and Rosettes to all other prize winners and finalists. This Championship has been kindly sponsored by The Andrews Family.

National WPBR In-Hand Championships

All first and second placed WPCS registered Welsh Part Bred exhibits in relevant classes (not already qualified) qualify to enter. Unregistered qualifiers with 12.5% Welsh blood may retrospectively register with WPCS prior to entry. In the Part Bred Welsh classes the Champion and Reserve will qualify.

The IDHS (GB) £2000 Challenge

This show is a qualifier for the IDHS(GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge. The highest placed horse/s (not already qualified) from each of the above classes will qualify for the final of the IDHS (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) National Championship Show on 7th & 8th September 2024 at Onley Equestrian Centre, Onley Grounds Farm, Willoughby, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 8AJ. A horse may only qualify for the final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Qualifiers will be contacted by a member of the IDHS Show Team. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.org.uk to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the final. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, and a trophy the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Purebred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and £100, and the highest placed Sport Horse will receive a trophy and £50.

Moorbennhall ID Youngstock Challenge The IDHS (GB) Sport Horse Youngstock Challenge

Class H123

This show is a qualifier for both The Moorbennhall Irish Draught Youngstock Challenge and the IDHS (GB) Irish Draught Sport Horse Youngstock Challenge. The two highest placed Irish Draught pure-breds and Irish Draught Sport Horses from each age group in Class H123 yearlings, two year olds and three year olds, that are eligible for Class 1 on the Irish Draught Breed Register by an RID (GB), Class 1 or Class 2 sire out of a Graded dam, OR registered on the Irish Draught Sport Horse Register (must have a minimum of 25% proven ID breeding). If one or both have already qualified, the horse next in line in each age group will qualify for their respective final which will be held at the 7th & 8th September 2024 at Onley Equestrian Centre, Onley Grounds Farm, Willoughby, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 8AJ. Qualifiers will be contacted by a member of the IDHS Show Team. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.org.uk to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the final. In their respective final, there will be three preliminary classes with the two highest placed semi[1]finalists from each class going forward to the Championship where the Champion will receive £500 and the Reserve Champion £150.

Direct qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: Veteran Horse of the Year 2024. Kindly sponsored by Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members, however NON MEMBERS must purchase a Day Membership Show Card for this show. Day membership must be purchased from VHS head office at least 2 weeks in advance of the show, at a cost of £25.00. Payment by telephone and a Credit or Debit card is required. A day membership show card and age badge will be provided. Owners who are not competing are not required to be a member. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Members and Day members must carry their current VHS membership cards in the ring and produce these on request – no exceptions will be made. No card no entry or qualification. VHS Supreme Final qualification. Competitors placed 1st and 2nd in each class will qualify directly for the corresponding class at the VHS Supreme Final, to be held at the National Veteran Championships. 30th August – 1 September 2024, Arena UK, Lincolnshire. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 3rd - 4th in each class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. VHS M&M Supreme Final qualification. This is only given at the judges discretion and will be to the highest placed M&M in each class to qualify for the VHS M&M Supreme Final at the National Veteran Championships. Show Card/Day Membership to be signed. Members and Day-members will have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. Day-members must become full VHS members within 14 days and exchange their day-showing card for a full showing card in order to validate their qualification for the Supreme or Regional Final qualification. Regional Finals are open to members only. If the competitor has already qualified or does not wish to attend, they must refuse the qualification and pass it down the line on the day. Day members must become full VHS members in order to enter the Supreme Final. Once you have a Supreme Qualification you must enter the Supreme Final within 21 days of gaining this qualification - NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED. Class H139 OPEN EQUITATION Horses or ponies four years old or over. Confirmation and manners will be taken into consideration; horses will not be stripped. Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3rd Adult and 3rd Junior places and SSA Championship Points. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed member aged under 14 years on 1 January of the current year. A rosette sponsored in memory of The Late Mr R Philpot is offered to the Adult Member and Just So Elegant Side Saddle Hire sponsor a rosette for the Junior Member judged to be the best turned out. Lead Rein competitors are eligible for this class. Leaders must be correctly dressed. Combinations qualifying after the current year's CHAPS Final may carry forward the qualification to the following year.

Riders of stallions must have obtained their 12th birthday (small breeds) or 14th birthday (large breeds) before 1 January in the current year. Horse of the Year Show These classes are qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show 9th-13th October 2024 and will attract a £18.00 Horse of the Year Show contribution with each entry. Qualification will not pass below 3rd place and will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. Exhibitors are required by DEFRA to carry with them Official Identity Documents for all horses/ponies when competing or travelling. Competitors are reminded that it is a DEFRA requirement that the Official Identity Documents must be in the name of the legal owner within 30 days of ownership. This must be registered with the breed society, relevant studbook or ID issuing agency, dependant on breed/type of animal. Spot checks may be carried out at qualifying shows and by breed societies. To be run under National Pony Society Rules 2024. Ponies must be registered in and complying with the showing requirements of the main body of their respective Breed Society Stud Book. Part breds are not eligible. Ponies may be measured at the judge's discretion, and must be within the specified height range for their breed. Royal International Horse Show NPS/Supreme Products M&M Working Hunter Pony Championship. Open to pure bred registered M & M Stallions, Mares and Geldings five years old and over. The highest placed pony in each class goes forward to the final. Where this pony has already qualified, the pony standing next in line not qualified receives the qualification, which can go no lower than third place. These classes will attract a £11.00 RIHS Levy with each entry. Qualification to be verified by NPS office and by 17 June 2024 the pony's JMB height certificate must be sent to the NPS office for validation. Entries into the final at Hickstead are the responsibility of the owner and qualifying competitors must submit entries online. Please check the Hickstead website for opening and closing dates. Riders may only ride one pony in each class. Riders of Stallions must be 12 years old or over for small breeds (Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A and B) and 14 years old or over for large breeds (Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, New Forest, Welsh C & D). All Ridden Stallions to wear a stallion bridle badge. The owner MUST be a Qualifying or Life Member of the NPS for the pony to enter this competition. Membership cards must be shown in the ring upon request. At the final at Hickstead, the rider must also be an NPS member. Riders must have competed in at least 2 M&M WHP Royal International Horse Show qualifying rounds before competing in the Final at the Royal International Horse Show and must send proof of this to the office as per the instructions on the allocated qualifying card. NPS/TopSpec M&M working Hunter Pony National Championship These classes are qualifiers. All competing Highland Pony stallions in affiliated shows (In Hand, Ridden, WHP etc) aged four years and over must be licensed with the Highland Pony Society. Shire Horse of the Year Championships Supported by the Shire Horse Society Class HH5 a qualifying class for the Horse of the Year Show, to be held at NEC, Birmingham, 9th-13th October 2024. Entrants to this class must have competed in previous classes at the show. This class will attract an £18.00 Horse of the Year Show contribution for each entry and full details of each entrant must be made on the Horse of the Year entry form. This class will run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. This is a Horse of the Year Show qualifier, all data given upon entry of this class is provided to Grandstand Media Limited and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. For full policy details please visit ww.grandstandentries.com. Exhibitors are required by DEFRA to carry with them Official Identity Documents for all horses/ponies when competing or travelling. Competitors are reminded that it is a DEFRA requirement that the Official Identity Documents must be in the name of the legal owner within 30 days of ownership. This must be registered with the breed society, relevant studbook or ID issuing agency, dependant on breed/type of animal. Spot checks may be carried out at qualifying shows and by breed societies. Shire Horse Society Silver Spoon A spoon and rosette will be awarded for the Best Shire Mare or Filly exhibited in the in-hand classes. The winning animal must be registered or eligible for registration in the Stud Book or Grade B register and the winner MUST be a member of the Shire Horse Society. No animal is eligible to take more than one spoon during any one year, The Shire Horse Society Spring Show being excepted. West of England Heavy Horse Championships This Show is also a qualifier for The West of England Heavy Horse Championships 2024 the final to be held at Turnpike Showground between Shaftesbury and Gillingham in North Dorset on 22 September.
