ROAD TRIP by Ollie & Claire A little introduction, we are two friends Oreli and Claire, little tour of the Pacific, skate and surf, why not? ;) we are travelling the world in search of sheep, that’s how we We went in early June, loaded down like a mule, ended up here in New Zealand. More sheep then people here destination Tokyo. Three days of intense walking around and check out this one… the town, skateboarding on colored avenues, chilling at the markets, discovering a new culture, playing in their flashing Haha, nah indeed we really are two friends but we are arcades, eating sushi and living in a manga. Wauw we will be totally in love with snowboarding, filming, and traveling going back for sure (well yeah there is the big powpow over around the Pacific to do what we love most: riding and there :). shooting pictures. Our best address and standout memory is a very typical restaurant “Chinya” in the district of Asakusa. There you can Oreli, 28 and all her teeth, got her roots in Lyon. She is enjoy the local kitchen amongst the locals. You should just a dedicated photographer for many years. After discovering accept the idea of eating eel for starter, main and dessert… snowboarding 4 years ago, she started to blend her art with her love for the mountains. After this quick stopover, we arrived in New Zealand and Claire, 23 years old, comes from Paris (yeah we know...). That’s why at 18 she moved to the mountains for a life of shredding hard every day and living her dream. We met in Avoriaz 3 years ago. Last winter, on a drunk afternoon, Génépi took charge of our thoughts. And we decided to keep living the wintertime and came up with the idea to shred in New Zealand, take the opportunity to do a
its so f ***en good! This country is absolutely gorgeous and we signed up for 5 months riding and some road tripping, life is good, right? Living in Wanaka, we divide our time between riding at Cardrona and enjoying the seasonnairs life. End of July, our great friend Karlien, who comes from Belgium, joined us to share this adventure. A good trip between girls! | 17
For sure, New Zealand isn’t like the French Alps with hundreds of miles of slopes and endless free ride terrain. I still remember the first time when we took the road up to Cardrona: we were surprised to find an unpaved dirt road of 20km which smashes all the cars. Arrived on the top, the second surprise: only 4 chairlifts? What the fuck! Are you kidding me? (..excuse my French) Third surprise about 20cm of snow accumulated on the resort. But in terms of freestyle ... We definitely fell in love with the Cardrona park. An endless amount of boxes, rails and kickers for all different levels, so we are progressing day by day. Special thanks to the shapers for their amazing work around the park! They re-shape 5 times a day!! We had lots of awesome meetings, people like us who are there for the season and passionate about board sports. The atmosphere is magical and we never get tired of riding with friends for more fun and progression! We keep shredding hard ;) Now it’s coming to the end of the season and injuries accumulate in our group of friends … We took the opportunity to travel around, let’s go girls, let’s go find penguins!!
We leave Wanaka in three weeks. Almost time to say bye bye to the snow and buddies, everyone’s taking their own bag for a new adventures... For us, we will be heading North to ride some other surfaces … concrete and water. More about our upcoming adventures in our next episode And don’t forget to keep smiling!

Another year of Surf world Cup.
It’s a time of the year where we have great waves and really pleasant temperatures. Besides, for many of us, autumn is the best wave season, low on wind and few people in the water. 16th IWWF e&a
wakeboard &wakeskate championship
On October 20th to 26th the 16th IWWF E&A wakeboard and wakeskate championship took place in Portugal. The small, but enchanted village of Montargil hosted this event that created the perfect mix between fun and sport. A record number of 130 athletes from 17 countries competed in the event, with Colin Hart as Chief Judge, and a high qualified team to evaluate the performance of all participants. A lot of surprises in this event, with an absolutely amazing weather in plain October.

LCM TEAM BANDEIRA | 33
HOW &WHEN LCM Team Bandeira comes from a long time family dream. Though the team was only official in 2012, we had in previous years participated on some events. We are 4 brothers, 3 girls and 1 boy, and since always, a lot due to where we live – Lousã – we practice outdoor extreme activities. Every weekend we would go together to the mountains to ride our bikes and our motorcycles, with our parents. In Lousã, at the time we started downhill, there were a lot of friends that already practiced it, including our dad, and when we tried it, we were in love with downhill. Our first competition was Avalanche, a collective downhill that happens every year and it starts on the top of the mountain, the Trevim.
PATH When we were old enough to compete national, we decided that it was time to formalize our brother’s team, where only the three of us (Leonor, Constança and Margarida) would compete, because Gonçalo was not, and still isn’t, old enough to do so. That being said, we officialize the team with the Portuguese Cycling Federation and we went searching for supports for our dream. In the first year we got some very good feedback from our supporters, especially from our parents that have always supported us from the beginning of our project and have always pushed us to go further, having as main gold fun. Since then, LCM already goes to its 5th year in competition, where only Leonor and Margarida are competing right now. Unfortunately Constança doesn’t compete in downhill, anymore, but she is still our company in practices and everything else, as well as our brother Gonçalo, he does so much
part of the team like any of us. 2014 This year, was bitter sweet because in the Portugal Cup, Margarida won the first place and Leonor the second, a result that left us very happy, however in the National Championship we didn’t get the expected result, we got 3rd and 4th place. We are very happy with the feedback from our sponsors to whom we thanks for all the support and confidence.

We all like riding our motorcycles and we take the chance to complement our training, but we also participate in some amateur competitions. Next year, we will continue stronger and more willing than ever, to achieve our gold’s, both national and internationally.

SPIRIT SKIM GIRLS
Spirit Skim Girls emerged in the 2011 edition of the International Skimboard Championship, inside the Ocean Spirit Festival. The founders – Sofia Lewis Lopes, 26 years old and Maria Filipa Pinto divide their every day between works – Environment Engineer and Dental Technician – and the passion for skimming. Sofia, spends most of the time in Praia Grande, while Maria Filipa Pinto prefers going to Sesimbra, Lagoa de Albufeira and Santa Cruz.

This year, I decided to do a surf trip in search of perfect waves, with lots of action and adventure. Indonesia, more precisely Java island on no west shore, seemed like the more likely destination to gather all the ingredients I wanted in this trip, an affordable place with great waves and few crowd. First sessions were on a right, located in front of the place we used to stay, consistent for this time of the year, but tubing only once in a while, and because it’s so close to town still was a bit crowded. Even so, I took advantage of the early morning with glass sea, catching some positive and intense waves.
Swell pointed to good waves on other spots, so we decided
