PROGRAMME 1st day Departure early in the morning with Metsovo as our destination. Arrival at Katogi Averoff and welcome with what else... a glass of wine offered by the estate. Settling in at the rooms and just afterwards meal in the cozy restaurant of Katogi Averoff, where we will enjoy local cuisine and fine wine! The afternoon is free to wander and get to know with one of the most beautiful and unpretentious villages of Greece. Stone houses, picturesque streets, traditional fountains and trees festooned with snow make a beautiful winter picture.

Metsovo PROGRAMME 2nd day Our day will start with a good Greek breakfast buffet. Then we will visit the Metsovo Folk Art Museum, housed in the renovated Archontko Tositsa, an old mansion with a plethora of special value objects, witnesses of the era of the great economic prosperity of Metsovo. Swords and guns since 1821, kitchenware, wood and bronze, jewelry, clothing, looms, weaving is some of the objects of the museum that we will have the opportunity to admire. Of much interest is the Averoff Gallery which hosts the permanent exhibition of approximately 250 works of great Greek artists such as Gizis, Lytras Volonakis, Hadjikyriakos - Gkikas and younger as Fasianos, Moralis and others. Most of the works of the permanent collection ceded to the Gallery from the personal collection of Evangelos Averoff in order to make a dream come true, namely to create a high-level gallery for his birthplace.
Back to Katogi Averoff winery for a tour and tasting. We will visit the cellars of the historic winery reminding a theatrically staged backdrop. In the cellars there are 1200 oak barrels, where the red wines mature, while in the wine cellar there are rare collectible bottles. The tour in the winery, using audiovisual media, comprises an original tour in the enchanting world of wine and its history. We continue with the tasting of three famous wines of the estate: - Katogi Averoff-red - Katogi Averoff-white - Katogi Averoff-rose Free time for rest or to stroll and meeting at Katogi Averoff's restaurant at the evening in order to enjoy a special dinner accompanied by some of the estate's fine wines.

Metsovo PROGRAMME 3rd day After enjoying our breakfast in the warm restaurant of Katogi Averoff we leave Metsovo and head towards the cinematic beauty of Meteora. Huge vertical cliffs. Sculptures painted by prehistoric rivers, with famous monasteries climbed up on them. The UNESCO has declared Meteora as "Preserved and Protected Monument of Humanity". The Greek state as a "sacred place, unchanging and inviolable."
Our first stop is the town of Kalampaka and the unique, mainly because of the presentation of the exhibits, Meteora Natural History Museum and Mushroom Museum. These are two museums that are housed in an area of 1100 sq.m. about: the zoo, where more than 350 species of birds and mammals are exposed and that of the Observer, in which there are about 250 different species.
Our next stop, in just a little time from Kalambaka, the picturesque village Kastraki, built literally in the shadow of the Meteora rocks which dominate majestically in the distance. There we will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique views and savor delicious local delicacies. We depart for Athens with pictures of a beautiful natural landscape that we will keep in our memories for a long time...
