“Poetry, painting and other writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a Louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled” defines the persona and artistic endeavors of Jenean C. Gilstrap. Her poem, Handyman, was produced by an innovative performance poetry theatre group and her short story, Retribution, published in the Helicon Literary Magazine in Louisiana. A number of her pieces have been published [2012] in YAREAH, the online literary magazine based in Spain that promotes authors and artists from around the globe. One of her works [The Granite God] also was the winning poem of Painted Bride Quarterly, Sidebar 12 [2012] online competition. Ms. Gilstrap and her current poetry blog, gypsywomanworld@blogspot.com have been included as story elements in Ghost Key [August 2012], the most recent fictional work of award-winning author, Trish MacGregor. She is presently completing her first book of poetry, illustrated with her own art work.
