The justice of the peace presides over the justice court in cases involving misdemeanors, small civil disputes, landlord/tenant disputes and more. Just like during early voting, voters are no longer restricted to an assigned polling location and may choose from 350 plus polling locations across Harris County. Curbside voting: Voters who are physically unable to enter the polling location without personal assistance or likelihood of injury to the voter’s health may ask the presiding precinct election official to allow them to vote outside the polling location.
Resources for Voters If you have not registered to vote, you can do so until 30 days before an election (October 11). www.votetexas.gov – The Secretary of State’s office has a website full of valuable voter information. You can even check whether you are registered to vote on the site. www.harrisvotes.org – The Harris County Clerk’s office has a website with information on where to vote in Harris County.
