Vision The Project is located in Nigeria, City of Pulka. To fight in Nigeria’s Borno state has caused years of suffering for people in this northeastern region and pushed many to leave their homes in search of safety. Large numbers of displaced people are living in the town of Pulka, where access to clean water is a major problem. The aim is to create sustainable dwellings for people to be conceptually arranged in the sense of a cluster of urbanisation. The main problem of water is being solved by this enlargement includes public space as context for collecting water and ensuring the quality of life to people of Pulka. So as Nigeria ranked as ninth globally among countries with the highest contributions to plastic pollution, over 88% of the plastic waste is generated in city is not recycled and it harms living organisms and pollutes water, so plastic bottles were used as when air pushes into bottle the gas contracts as it approaches rim of the bottle. So it results in a decrease in pressure in addition to a cement board and shutter wall for environmental solutions.

The project is a residential compound at Nazlet-elsemman, Giza,Egypt. The site is directly overlooking the great pyramids of Egypt. The development plan is designed to protect and appreciate the historic area from urban encroachment, boost commercial activities in the area, address mobility challenges for visitors and residents. So the importance of the site is great because it is having two historical views which are the pyramids and the grand museum of Egypt. The project was designed to be able to see the view from every building in the compound, this was achieved by giving the Hotel the highest point in the contour levels to highlight it and give the rooms the most fantastic view, putting the residential buildings at the end of the site for the purpose of not blocking the vies, and putting the villas on the front and on a contours curve to ensure that the residents are most previliged. The double façade of the hotel was used as a method to decrease the heat in the summer as well as being a part of the art of the compound, because it is the seem of the project to use arches and curves in a way the make all the buildings connected with each other and with the layout. The planning of the project is to design a two plazes and connect them with curved roads to respect the lines of contour and to give each building the right importance to it.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION PROJECT Affordable Housing

LOCATION Berlin, Germany

AREA 16500 m2

Berlin is severely lacking in affordable housing. Making it less accessible to live in than many of its smaller counterparts across Germany. The divide between East and West Germany created two very distinct housing markets, with the east controlled entirely by the state. The site is located in wedding city which is located in the northwest of Berlin. The site is in a quiet neighbourhood that have several residential areas and parks.

The project is aiming to design a building that consumes less energy for heating and cooling in Germany, by using sun heat the most and design a façade system to allow the sun to enter in the winter but to be blocked in the summer. And the material used in the project is local materials and has an isolating qualities and reduce energy consumption rates. The project was design by a team of 3 for Berlin affordable housing competition by buildiner.

Argument Berlin is a city with a complicated past, from the ravages of World War II to the division of the city by the infamous Berlin Wall from 1961 to -1989. Despite being one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in Europe, Berlin is severely lacking in affordable housing, making it less accessible to live in than many of its smaller counterparts across Germany. The divide between East and West Germany created two very distinct housing markets, with the East controlled entirely by the state and, while housing was affordable, there was little investment in improving or developing housing units. The increase in supply and decrease in demand resulted in a housing stock surplus that most likely contributed to the State of Berlin de-prioritising affordable housing for years to come.
