2024 Meaningful Playgrounds for the Whole Community
Meaningful
Habitat Systems has had the privilege to collaborate with over a hundred Indigenous groups in providing spaces where kids can be kids. We use methods and materials that respect and give back to the environment, so the children of today can play while we plan for the children of the future. We build rewarding and lasting relationships with our clients, and give solutions that go above and beyond traditional playgrounds. Habitat offers a full service, complete with design, installation, and support after your playground is complete. In the end, we want to leave kids with a smile on their faces and a playground to be enjoyed for decades. Reach out, and we’ll create something special together.

THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT
Sometimes, what captures a child’s interest isn’t what you’d expect. These touches are meant to provide a sense of whimsy or a moment of learning to keep kids coming back.
CLIMATE CONSIDERATIONS
Weather is becoming more extreme every year, and that means planning for the future requires special considerations. Habitat has options to shape your park for whatever mother nature can dish out.
Water is crucial tool for keeping temperatures in check. Our misting stations provide a quick way for kids and adults to cool down.
Concrete slide exits keep cool all day, preventing an uncomfortable ride when the sun is blazing.
Integrated playground shade keeps surfaces cool and sun off skin, while keeping your play area footprint the same. Shade sails can be removed easily when it’s time for snow.
Freestanding shade gives you the opportunity to cover resting areas. Our high ratings for snow and wind loads bring clients peace of mind.
Boardwalks not only protect sensitive habitats, but they provide paths through flooding and freezing, and can be cleared of snow and debris.

NEW! WICKCRAFT BOARDWALKS
Habitat is excited to offer wheelchair accessible boardwalk solutions from Wickcraft. The Wickcraft Steel base structures lasts up to 10x longer than a full wood system, and individual decking panels can be replaced in future for easy maintenance. These low maintenance and nature-friendly frame systems are available in galvanized steel or corten steel for sensitive salmon habitats.
Our Team Sustainability Budget Planning Service
Operating since 1996, Habitat has over 50 employees in 5 offices serving our clients. Our services include complimentary consultations, site visits, and custom designs. We strive to provide our clients with products which create safe and engaging environments where children and adults have the opportunity to imagine, dream, and learn together.
We’re proud to be a leader in environmental sustainability, and partner with manufacturers that share our values. Part of our commitment is donating trees to directly offset the CO2 produced in the manufacturing of each and every play system we supply. On an individual level, we implement green initiatives in our work spaces.
We specialize in providing our clients with budgetary pricing on playground equipment, installation, site work, borders, and surfacing. We want our clients to know what to expect in the year to come. Get in touch with us when you’re thinking about a playground or playground addition, and we can help in creating a budget for your timeline.
