Bea Can Be! Project Type
Digital Illustration, Layout, Story Writing

ang-ink.org/pandemink-volume-one
During 2020, the newly accepted members of Ang INK (Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan), were tasked to create a batch project. As the 2020 Batch called PandemINK, we created an anthology of stories of Filipino children with their experiences during the pandemic. In the anthology itself, I submitted a story and artwork titled “Bea can be”. It was also my first digitally published story. The story revolves around Bea as she tries to be everything she wants to be during play pretend; she turns into different characters while staying at home and overcoming the challenges of a virus.

Shades of Gray is the 2019 literary folio of The Benildean, the publication of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. I illustrated some of the submissions for the year. I drawn the illustrations in environments that are confined, either good or bad, going with the main theme. It writes,

Slice of Life Project Type
Art Direction, Merchandise, Digital Illustration, Layout, Product Photography, Social Media Content

Slice of Life is a 2022 apparel merchandise that I created for a class that turned into a passion project. It is aptly named from the media genre centered around the appreciation of the mundanity of living. Playing with the idea of “slice of life”, a slice of orange comes to life in a bunny form. This is how Habunny came to be. There was a two-part shoot campaign during its release in which I also managed the shoot and layout. I’ve used poems about sharing oranges as accompanying text to the layout. 1 Slice of Life Illustration 2 Packaging Market Shoot 3 Packaging 2

The packaging of the merchandise is a fruit plastic mesh bag with the apparel appearing as the orange inside it, resembling how fruit is sold in a public market.

Y2K4da (alternatively known as Y2K Barkada) is a sticker sheet that features early2000s Pinoy youth culture fused with traditional outfits and local handicrafts. I jumped in on the resurgence 32
of these graphics. I categorized the characters in the concept of “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy”, naming them “Kikay, Japorms, Girlaloo, and Rakista” as their respective 2000s characters.
The illustration is based on the thick and bold-lined illustrations of cartoons and graphics of the bright, colorful and electronicinfluenced visuals of the 2000s.

imageries and elements of primary school textbooks and learning materials in the Philippines. I also made a social media series that tackles each agenda.

Starting late-2022, I have started focusing on joining art markets in Metro Manila where I have sold various original merchandise. I became more of a merchandise artist in recent times because of this. 36
9
I have also met new artist friends and became a part of art collectives while joining these events, namely: Star Anik and Bayouths.
10
I have joined a total of 5 events in June, which is also Pride Month. It was one of my successful runs of being an art merchant in recent times.
Aside from that, I was also featured in a Young Star article as one of the local queer artists to look for in Komiket Pride.
