ABOUT THE HACR CORPORATE ACHIEVERS SUMMIT The HACR Corporate Achievers Summit (CAS) was created to offer Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers™ (YHCA) a platform to network with previous YHCA classes and participate in training sessions that use critical thinking to become better executives and leaders within their companies in order to fuel the pipeline in Corporate America. Launched in 2011, the HACR CAS program was created to motivate, empower and reconnect former HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers™ participants and to create a network of support among executives dedicated to the advancement of Hispanics in Corporate America. HACR CAS participants are moving rapidly within their corporations and in the industries where they work, finding new opportunities and challenges. This program is designed to address those challenges, providing insight and learning.

Joedis Ávila serves as Manager of Community Outreach at Ford Motor Company Fund, where he manages Ford’s strategic partnerships with key organizations and external corporate initiatives on a national and local level. He also manages Hispanic strategic investments nationally.
Jorge Balestra leads the Information Systems organization for Kraft Foods Canada, one of the biggest packaged food producers in the country. In this role, Mr. Balestra is responsible for all the areas within the IS function for Kraft Foods Canada. He has more than 17 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry across multiple countries in North America and Latin America. He is active in several community organizations including the Kraft Latino Council and serves on the board of Onward House.
Prior to joining Ford, Mr. Ávila worked at MillerCoors, Molson Coors, and Coors Brewing Company. Most recently, he served as the multicultural relations, CSR, and marketing program manager at MillerCoors. Ávila serves as a corporate board advisor of national Hispanic organizations, including the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute, National Council of La Raza, and LULAC, and is the current Chair of CNC’s CBA. He also serves on the Board of Directors at the Smithsonian Latino Cultural Center and SER Jobs for Progress National. In 2008, he was recognized with the HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever™ Award.

Mariely BandasFranzetti serves as the Executive Director of Services IT for Dell. In her role, she has endto-end responsibility for enabling the technology that activates Dell Services strategy and operational excellence. Her team is the strategic technology partner delivering quality services and innovative solutions to drive Dell Services business success.
Selene Benavides is the newly appointed Chief Financial Officer/ Chief Operations Officer for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) in Irving, Texas. She is responsible for helping NSHMBA’s leadership define the strategic direction of the organization and overseeing the operations, finance, and IT areas of the business.
Ms. Bandas-Franzetti has been with Dell since 1997, most recently managing the Global Fulfillment Operations for Software and Peripherals. Previous roles expanded from manufacturing engineering roles, global logistics IT applications program management, and ODM transformation enablement. She is part of the leadership board of Dell’s Hispanic ERG (Adelante) and serves as liaison for the Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to her new role, Ms. Benavides was a Senior Finance Consultant at Dell, overseeing the Global Audit and Transformation budget that included more than 300 employees across the world.
She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and a M.S. in International Logistics from the School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Ms. Benavides recently participated in the Hispanic Austin Leadership program sponsored by the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce where they designed new initiatives to help the Hispanic community in the Central Texas area. Ms. Benavides received a B.S. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University and holds an MBA from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

Dolores Campuzano is currently the Director of Banquet Services at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Ms. Campuzano has several years of experience within the hospitality industry, having held positions at major Las Vegas casinos and Disney resorts.
Tania Calderon is the Director of Product and Marketing Strategy for Wyndham Vacation Ownership in Orlando, Fla. Prior to Wyndham, Calderon marketed companies in real state, technology, and the arts.
Ms. Campuzano serves as Chair for the Mirage Diversity Council and Co-Chair of the MGM Resorts Joint Council. She is also a member of the Mirage Green Advantage Team, the Latin Employee Resource Group at MGM Resorts, and the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce. She received her bachelor’s in Hotel Administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she was a member of the Club Management and Food & Beverage Teams. She has also completed “Foundations”, Disney’s Leadership program and the MGM Resorts’ Leadership Institute program. Born in Toluca, Mexico, Ms. Campuzano lives in Las Vegas with her husband and six adopted children.

Jomo Castro has been with AT&T for more than 13 years. Currently, he leads strategic initiatives and transformation planning for AT&T Global Project Management. These projects improve organizational efficiency and enable teams to better serve customers.
Alencia DeAnda-Gregg is a Senior Product Development Engineer with AT&T in Dallas, TX. Ms. DeAnda-Gregg has held many positions during her career at AT&T including, Area Manager and Strategic Programs Client Sponsor.
Mr. Castro also leads strategic initiatives for HACEMOS, the Hispanic/ Latino Employee Association of AT&T, representing more than 5,000 members and distributing more than $200,000 annually in scholarships. He has held several local and national positions, raised scholarship funds, and helped standardize their disbursement. He has also successfully cultivated partnerships with companies and organizations with like interests for marquee events like High Technology Day and the HACEMOS Scholarship Golf Classic. Mr. Castro is certified in Project Management (PMP®) and Six Sigma methodologies. He earned his B.S. in Marketing, with minors in Telecommunications and Spanish from Indiana University in Bloomington. He earned his master’s in Management Information Systems from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.

Ms. DeAnda-Gregg was elected to the National Board for AT&T’s oxyGEN Employee Resource Group and is the 2014-2015 National Chief of Staff. She is also a member of AT&T Women’s Leadership Council. In 2012, Ms. DeAndaGregg received the Women of Color STEM - Technology All-Star Award and in 2013 she was recognized as an HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Acheiver™. She attended Colorado State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree and is Co-President and Founder of SOMOS CSU a Hispanic/Latino alumni group. Mariana Fagnilli serves as the liaison for the Latin America business units in her role as Latin America Policy Lead in the Global Regulatory Policy and Intelligence department of Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company. In this role, Ms. Fagnilli brings her knowledge and perspective of the region’s rapidly-changing political and business environments to provide policy and intelligence support regarding Latin America. She has more than 12 years of experience, including six years in the regulated healthcare industry, during which time she built strategic alliances across the U.S. and Latin America to support business, legal, and compliance programs. Ms. Fagnilli was most recently recognized as an HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever™ and was also accorded Honorable Mention in the 2013 LATINA Executive of the Year Program.
Jason Luis Fernandez is the Director of Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting for Wyndham Vacation Ownership (WVO). With more than 15 years of experience in various industries, he has been responsible for managing several operational and accounting functions. Mr. Fernandez’s experience also includes more than six years of public accounting experience with Ernst & Young LLP. He is a founding board member of ¡FUERTE!, WVO’s Hispanic associate business group, and currently serves as the Chair. Mr. Fernandez was also a founding member of the Miami Chapter for the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. He holds a master’s degree in Accounting from Florida International University and bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The Florida State University.
She holds a bachelor’s and JD from Universidad de Buenos Aires, where she also obtained a specialization in International and Public Law. She also holds a Master of Laws from the University of Miami.

Maria Jose Gatti serves as the Director of Diversity Relations for MGM Resorts International’s Corporate Operations. She is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with community organizations whose mission focuses on diversity and equality issues. She also implements programs to help educate and engage the employees of MGM Resorts on diversity related initiatives, activities, and issues. The Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance recognized her efforts in 2011.
Noreen L. Gillen is a Wealth Management Advisor in The Snyder Balducci Group, a Wealth Management team at Merrill Lynch. Her focus is personal wealth management, which includes investments, wealth planning, retirement cash flow analysis, trust and estate planning services, college education savings, and philanthropic gifting strategies for her clients.
Before joining MGM Resorts, Ms. Gatti served as a Director of Programs for the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas and Nevada Partners, two local nonprofit organizations that focus on employment and training in the field of hospitality. Through her relationships with leaders in Southern Nevada’s casino and hotel industry, she has coordinated job opportunities for thousands of people in her community. Ms. Gatti has her bachelor’s in Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Ms. Gillen is a speaker on the topic of financial literacy in the community and serves as the Co-Chair of the Northeast Advisory Board of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. She is an SEO Alumna (‘94). She earned her B.S. in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. Ms. Gillen achieved the Certified Financial Planner™ certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor(SM). She also attained the Certified Private Wealth Advisor ® designation in conjunction with the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) and the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Harold González is a hardware engineer for the Imaging Solutions and Services Division at Lexmark International, Inc. He began his career with Lexmark in 1997, working in technical support for Lexmark’s operations in Latin America. He has also served as a service engineer for Lexmark in Latin America.
JD Laboy is Sr. Manager Product Development, Ecosystem Development for AT&T Growth Platforms. He currently leads product development efforts for new advanced mobile solutions. Previously, Mr. Laboy led enterprise business development efforts and was a key contributor to the strategy, development, and execution of AT&T’s emerging Cloud and Interactive Advertising businesses. Throughout his 11-year tenure, Mr. Laboy has held leadership roles in sales, marketing, and operations across the company’s consumer, business, and network units.
Mr. González is the Co-Founder and currently serves as Vice President of Community Affairs and Student Relations for the Kentucky Bluegrass Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. He is also Chairperson of the Hispanic Diversity Network Group at Lexmark, a board member of the Foundation for Latin America Culture and Arts, a mentor for Junior Achievement, and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and United Way Care Day projects. A native of Colombia, Mr. González earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
In 2013, Mr. Laboy received the Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever™ Award from HACR. In 2012, Latino Leaders magazine recognized Mr. Laboy as one of “Dallas Leaders of the Future” for his impact on the business and local community. He earned a B.S. in Management with distinction from Purdue University, where he also established a Latino Cultural Center and received multiple awards.

Carlos Armando Lora currently serves as Continuous Improvement Manager at W.W. Grainger, Inc. In this capacity, he has had the opportunity to assist in the improvement of talent management by helping team members create their career development plans.
Jessica Montoya joined Sodexo in January of 2010 as Vice President of Government Affairs and Assistant General Counsel. Ms. Montoya’s focus is engaging with the U.S. Congress, the Obama Administration and federal agencies on behalf of Sodexo. Her current projects include child nutrition programs and the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign, government contracting, food safety, and various other business and policy issues that impact Sodexo. She also serves as counsel to the business units on matters pertaining to federal government engagement and compliance.
Prior to his current role with W.W. Grainger, Inc., Mr. Lora worked as a process manager where he had the opportunity to further develop his professional and leadership skills. Mr. Lora’s belief in giving back has driven him to be a community advocate for Grainger’s “Latino Business Resource Group” and the American Red Cross. His passion to work in the community was formed during his childhood when he began to serve at his local church. Mr. Lora’s passion further developed when he joined the United States Coast Guard after high school. He attended the University of Phoenix where he completed his B.A. in Business Administration.

Joe J. Pacheco is the Enterprise Brand Manager for Dell’s Preferred Accounts Division, where he is responsible for the marketing strategies used to bring Dell’s server, storage, and networking solutions to small, midmarket, and education customers across the U.S.
Mauricio Pincheira is currently Executive Director-Quality at CMS Energy. He is responsible for implementing a company-wide Quality system, which includes implementation of a customercentric business strategy and establishing the company’s continuous improvement structure.
Mr. Pacheco joined Dell in 2003, garnering experience in sales, solution architecture, program management, and team leadership, including a foundational role with Dell’s cloud computing startup group, Data Center Solutions. Mr. Pacheco is an active board member of Little Helping Hands a nonprofit organization which promotes community service in early childhood. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Texas State University.
Mr. Pincheira spent more than 15 years at General Motors in numerous leadership positions in engineering, manufacturing, and assembly operations at GM locations including, Oklahoma City Assembly, Flint Stamping, Flint Engine Assembly, Lansing Grand River, and San Luis Potosi. Mr. Pincheira is also an active supporter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), serving as President of the SHPE-Detroit Chapter. He is active with area colleges, high schools, and community centers in Detroit supporting STEM and education. In 2012, Mr. Pincheira was recognized as an HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever™. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a M.S. from Kettering University.

Carrie Ann Quintana is Vice President and Multicultural Marketing Manager of PNC Bank. Ms. Quintana is responsible for reaching diverse customers through existing PNC products and programs as well as creating new culturally and language-appropriate strategies for Spanish-speaking customers and other multicultural segments.
Barbara Quiroga is currently the Director of Cash Operations at Delta Air Lines, Inc. with responsibility for daily cash positioning, investment management, letters of credit, treasury accounting, worldwide bank relationships, FX transaction management, and hedging strategy. She has more than 15 years of experience in finance, including 12 years in Treasury.
Ms. Quintana is active in the Hispanic community, serving on the board of The Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is President of the Board of La Escuelita Arcoiris, a Spanish immersion preschool in Pittsburgh, and is a member of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. In addition, she served as the commissioner for Allegheny County for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs from 2008 to 2010. Ms. Quintana earned a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in Hispanic Languages and Cultures. She also has certificates in Latin American studies and professional translation in Spanish/English.

Ms. Quiroga joined Delta Air Lines through the merge with Northwest Airlines where she held the position of Director of Corporate Finance. At NWA she was responsible for debt and lease management, interest expense forecasting, and capital markets. Currently, she is the Chair of the Board of the Instituto de Mexico and Chair of the Membership Committee for GALEO. She has a degree in Economics from the Institute of Technology and Superior Studies of Monterrey and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago.

Carla Rodríguez is a Finance Manager at Intel Corporation responsible for the pricing and cost development of Intel branded motherboards. Prior to Intel, Ms. Rodríguez received an MBA from Thunderbird, the School of Global Management, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Romania. She is an active volunteer in her community, dedicating time to corporate recruiting for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Habitat for Humanity, The Oregon Food Bank, and is sought as a coach/mentor for recent hires at Intel Finance.
Artemio San Martin is a Mergers & Acquisitions Integration Program Manager at Dell. He has held financial and business roles in global organizations throughout Mexico and the U.S., including, Siemens, Monsanto, U.S. Department of State, World Trade Center Cleveland, NewellRubbermaid, and Boehringer-Ingelheim. He is a 2013 Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever™, President Emeritus of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs Austin and Cleveland Chapters, Board Member of Leadership Austin, and Program Manager of Adelante, Dell’s Hispanic Employee Resource Group. He is a certified Program Management Professional and holds an MBA and a M.S. in Management from The University of Akron.

Alvaro Silva Vargas is currently a Senior Project Manager of System Strategy at The Coca-Cola Company in its North American Division. Mr. Silva Vargas has a strong passion for giving back to the Hispanic community through education. He currently co-leads the ColombianAmerican Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta and is also a Board Member of El Minuto de Dios in Atlanta. Mr. Silva Vargas has participated as a columnist of El Nuevo Georgia; presenter for an FDIC, Latin American Association, and Federal Reserve Bank seminar on fraud prevention; keynote speaker at a breakfast with Colombian President Álvaro Uribe Vélez; and as a speaker at the Colombian Government Free Trade Agreement launch event in Atlanta.
Luis A. Tavárez, Jr. is currently working as the Site Technology Leader for DuPont at its Mobile Manufacturing Center. He is responsible for driving the organizational efforts of supporting and continuously improving the manufacturing processes, and for bringing to market new products in DuPont’s $3.5 billion Crop Protection portfolio.
Since April 2013 he has also been invited as a speaker and a panelist to education events about bilinguism and biculturalism at Armstrong and Emory Universities. Mr. Silva Vargas studied Industrial Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Mr. Silva Vargas holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Kennesaw State University and an MBA from Emory University.

Janet Velez is Director of Promotions Scheduling for Telemundo Media. She oversees the strategy and scheduling of on-air promotional elements to maximize break structure and retain audience.
Carlos Villasana manages Online support and Digital Insights and is responsible for Chat, Secure email, and Virtual Agent experience at Capital One in Richmond, Virginia.
She is active in affinity groups, having led UNIDOS and the Women’s NET. Ms. Velez has also played a key role in executing wellness programs including charity runs, weight-loss competitions, and The Working Mom group.
In addition to his work at Capital One, Mr. Villasana volunteers with the Latino Education Advancement Program and for the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Leadership Mentoring Program. He is also the infrastructure lead in Capital One’s Hispanic Network.
Ms. Velez earned her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and her MBA from the University of Miami.
Mr. Villasana earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with specialties in entrepreneurship, digital customer experience, operations management, and international business.

Isabel Villegas is currently an Associate Brand Manager at MillerCoors, focused on multicultural brand and retail marketing for the premium lights brands. She is an accomplished multi-lingual brand strategist and multicultural marketing expert. For nearly 15 years, her experience has included creating and launching campaigns, brands, platforms, and leading cross-functional teams. Ms. Villegas was also the Director of Marketing and Broadcast for the Major League Soccer team, Chivas USA, where she directed all marketing aspects of this unique soccer brand. Ms. Villegas received her B.S. from Northwestern, where she was a founding member and is currently President of the Latino Alumni of Northwestern University.
